"****, I could go for a popsicle right now." Crispy daydreams. "I haven't had something sweet in hours." She snapped out of it when Hattinski said "illegal". "Need me to break into someplace?" she asked.
Ashley explains in great detail her relationship to the Diety Lathander. She talked about what he stands for. That he is a Morning Lord, the god of new beginnings. She explained why that was so significant to her wedding ceremony earlier that day. She will teach Gasp about how business ventures, adventuring parts. Undead hunters, new newlyweds and new parents, all of them seek the Morning lords blessing. She even explains how one of his angels has bound some of its powers withing her, marked by the silver tattoo on her right hand.

No, Crispy, says Hatt firmly. I am absolutely not suggesting that you should break into the private rooms of the Lady M, which are located on the higher floors of the cathedral, and attempt to locate and retrieve her personal diary and any other clues that might help us with this. Frankly, I'm appalled that you would suggest it.
Crispy gives Bennett a jokingly sour look. "Not as appalled as you're going to be when I shove my foot up your a..." then she got it. "Ohhhh..." she smiled, and gives him a very painfully obvious wink. "I getcha. Yes. Such a terrible idea. I WON'T do that."
She then hand signals to Ashley.
God, what a little ****nut he is. Just kidding. I like Hatt. So what do you think? Wanna come with me and provide a distraction at the cathedral so I can get in? Secretly?
(If you are wondering what Poke's PC will be doing, I'll be putting him in the inn, working on his craft for now until he feels better or he confirms with me that he cannot play anymore.)
The inn is filling up as most people are done with the day and are looking forward to relaxing with a mug of cold ale. Even church goers and guards make their way to the inn for drinks or off to the arena for entertainment. Karra has been stuck in his room ever since coming back from visiting the nobleman Niyra's office. The royal quarter still seems abuzz with life as the guards there are still patrolling diligently. The area around the cathedral is starting to slow down as the dusk approaches.
Yeah. But we're all tired. It's been a busy day. Hatt is finishing off his meal, enjoying eating and drinking in a busy tavern at dusk, which is the natural habitat of the halfling. So, what should we do? he asks Bennett. While Ashley and Crispy are busy... um... doing absolutely nothing at all. I mean, we could take the night off. That would be very nice. Do we have any other leads?
"Don't get into trouble while we're gone, you two ok?" Crispy smirks, having eaten and getting a good buzz from the ale. She turns to Ashley. "Come on."
I head to the cathedral with her and casually, as if I've never seen such a beautiful wonder before, scout the outside perimeter for possible exits and entrances that wouldn't be normally obvious.
Gasp takes in every word. It is super interesting to the little black bird to see Ashley so excited to talk about something. Ilmater...Lathandar...The gods. Gasp doesn't have great trust for them, but these figures are interesting. Beings of mercy and light. That sounds nice. Satisfied, he makes his way back to join Bennett and Hatt. "Off time?" he mimics.
Hatt thinks, and thinks some more, and then some more again. I don't know. I mean, what are the options? They've actually been a few weeks in the city, though most of it stuck under Opsola's control, and haven't seem much of the place yet. Hatt flags down a passing employee of the tavern. Hi. Um, what is there to do in this city? Are there public performances? Any taverns known for good music or something? Maybe a theatre? What do people do in the evening?
At some point, Hatt will also check in with the Bank of Karra, keeping 20 gp, 10sp and 10 cp with him and depositing the rest in his companions' secure bag.
Gasp will definitely tag along with Hatt and Bennett, curious as to what there is to get up to here. Hatt was right, you know. They've been there for nearly a month. A month! Yet they really know nothing about the city. Just some temple and a tower, really.
The cathedral is quite open, various entrances and exits go around the building. The only thing separating the entrance from the exit is the garden walls and fences. Most of the metal parts of the fence is open but visible to all. While the bushes are too thick to see through, they are still able to be traversed with some difficulty. Mostly members of the church go about, they mill about the garden grounds, either doing lessons or tending to the garden. No one challenges you as you look about the cathedral.

"Well, that's a bit rude. You all stay here for a while, trash the big room upstairs, then ask if there's a better tavern." It's Jarrick's cousin, she gives a shrug as she sets a few mugs of ale before you all, "But no, not really. The only good music that comes in is Bards singing tall tales or what not. And we see enough drama at the Arena, rivaling lords, gladiators out to prove themselves, good show of underdog trouncing the champ or vice versa. Besides that, stay indoors, avoid the desert chill during the night times."
(OOC: Did we trash their room? We do a fair amount of trashing, I guess - it's hard to keep track)
The Arena, repeats Hatt. More of a daytime thing? Or do they have a night show? Who are the gladiators who fight there? A thought occurs to him and he turns to Bennett and Gasp: Maybe they have an amateur night? I wouldn't mind a bit of sparring, actually; it feels like a long time since we were in combat, and I don't want to get rusty.
At the mention of participating in the arena Bennett lights up. "Let's go! I read books of gladiators as a child! I've always wanted to see a fight and meet one."

Bennett chuckles at Crispy and leans over to Hatt, "Took her a minute."

Bennett bids farewell to Crispy and Ashley, "Good luck. Stay frosty."
He looks at Hatt, "I don't believe so. What would you like to do for our off time?"
