Mazra's Sunless Citadel Campaign

GLYNT puts an arrow into the UNDEAD.

XANTH goes wild a Pixie show up. (No love for a Flumph.)

Then strikes the UNDEAD.

The Pixie explodes, but the UNDEAD dodged the explosion.

The UNDEAD gazes at XANTH. (Xanth needs to make a DC 11 WIS save.)

He then attacks again the Barbarian ATT  18. DMG 20

 (RAGDOR and BIX up to complete the Round.)

Xanth

Wis save Natural 1

XANTH becomes frightened and gets the Paralyzed [Condition].

While you have the Paralyzed condition, you experience the following effects.

Incapacitated. You have the Incapacitated condition.

Speed 0. Your Speed is 0 and can’t increase.

Saving Throws Affected. You automatically fail Strength and Dexterity saving throws.

Attacks Affected. Attack rolls against you have Advantage.

Automatic Critical Hits. Any attack roll that hits you is a Critical Hit if the attacker is within 5 feet of you.

Bix uses ten feet of her move .  Fires her cross bow.  15 to hit / 9pts + 11.

Ragdor grabs his holy symbol and whispers a prayer, casting Guiding Bolt at the creature, 20 to hit and 12 pts of radiant damage. Xanth!!! Xanth!! Xanth's out! Use my move to position me between Xanth and the creature, shielding him with my body.

How long does it last?

Glynt getting very worried when he sees Xanth freeze up pulls out his +1 Arrow, takes a beat and then fires at the Undead thingy...

Attack: 18 
Damage: 8 

If it hits then that's magic damage.

ROUND TWO

GLYNT puts an arrow into the UNDEAD.

XANTH goes wild and a Pixie appears to ERKY's amazement.  He also hits the creature.  The Pixie then explodes, but the UNDEAD avoided any damage.  (What a waste of a perfectly good Pixie.)

ERKY hits the UNDEAD again with a volley of Magic Missiles.

The UNDEAD barely misses its attack against XANTH.

But XANTH became paralyzed by the fearsome UNDEAD.

RAGDOR hits the UNDEAD with a Guiding Bolt.

BIX puts another well-placed bolt into the creature.

The UNDEAD swoons and falls to the ground lifeless. The fabric of its robes begins to turn to dust.

XANTH's paralyzing fear goes away.

(GLYNT can save his +1 Arrow.)

ERKY is in shock, "A Pixie suddenly appeared and just exploded.  What the......"

Xanth take a moment to collect himself. "Thank you Ragdor. I don't know what came over me I looked in it eyes a just froze." 

@Erky "That was one of the spirits that help from time to time."

oh blessed lady! You're well? Let me have a look at those wounds. ((OOC we've got a scroll of cure wounds, do we want to use it and save a spell slot))

Glynt will drop the Faerie Fire once the monster is DEFINITELY staying dead this time. "Is anyone hurt much?  I wonder if it's been sitting on anything interesting for a long old time."

The UNDEAD had the following:

Cloth-of-Gold Vestment (25 gp)

Gold Necklace with a Dragon Medalion (Necklace 25gp, Medalion 25gp)

Gold Belt with a Dragon style buckle (25gp)

Coffer with 50 pp inside

Intricately carved Bone Scroll Case (25 gp)

Scroll: Remove Curse 

"I'm not gonna lie, I got more than a little frightened there myself - particularly when you froze up Big Guy"

"It's not something I want to do again. Can you tell if any of that is magic? "

Missy, good shootin', I guess you're alright. Wuld  ya mind having a look about the room, maybe a secret door or something we be missin. I'm gonna see to Xanth's wounds.  Ragdor pulls the healing scroll from the case, reads over it one last time, alright big guy, hold still and don't move a muscle or this could back fire and you'd sprout a third eye or someting, he gives a humorous wink to Erky, then begins casting the spell from the scroll, cure wounds for 18 pts of healing, it's a 2nd level scroll. 

Of course Ragdor,  Bix proceeds to look around to see if she can find anything.  Perception 7.

BIX does not find anything secret.

ERKY, will say, “We can push on, or we could rest here.  I don’t think anyone has been around here in a while.”

(I think Ragdor can save the scroll.  I kept missing Xanth.)

Yes, Xanth is fine only 6 down actually. But thanks.

I'm good for resting or checking out what is just SW of here. Just depends on if we think we can make it through another fight.

What do you guy think?

Bix continues to walk around the room and stops at the doorway.  If you would like to rest, I can stand guard to watch for any danger.  We have have no idea what evil lurks.
