As you stop her, she turns to you and simply says, "Over the past few weeks, one of our best chef's on this island, Tarak, has been isolating himself with his garden. He has minimal contact with everyone else and seems to be depressed himself.... I was hoping that you might talk to him at some point and see what's wrong... and if you could perhaps help."

"Ohh. I'll bring him some eggs, just the thing to cheer up a chef!" Lothar says. "Maybe see if Kaylee's presence would be comforting?"

Irtos offers, "I'll go talk to him as well. Maybe he needs some spiritual guidance."

Borvnir yawns and says 'Hey, if it means he'll come back to the kitchen, I'm in. You know what they say about having more cooks; it only makes the broth better.' 

“I love cooks and broth and guidance and Borvnir too count me in!”

"Always looking for new recipes" Lothar says. 

He looks for Kaylee and asks if she would like to come? Hoping to get some insight to the Chef's depression from her.

"Go comfort the man? Alrighty." says Cherry, getting on board with the rest. "What kind of garden does he have?" she asks Runara. And turning to Lothar she asks, "Anything we could help you get to aid your culinary connection?"

@Rhino, curious for your ruling. The Fey Presence feature, unlike things such as charm person or friends doesn't say the target(s) know they were charmed by you afterwards. Curious if that means you'd allow it for social situations like this. Essentially try a Fey Presence, quick question/etc, and hope for advantage on that roll if the target fails its saving throw. And then no complications of the "OMG you charmed me, *****!" type.

 "Not that I'm aware of. He is quite secretive. Oh, and if I were planning to bring him a gift, one of botanical nature would probably be more to his liking."

"So I should bring him some flowers?" asked Irtos.

"That's a wonderful idea! Flowers and something spicy like horseradish." Lothar ponders. 

He thinks about the the flowers and herbs he has seen nearby. He suggests a few to collect for the trip to the Chef's garden.

Kaylee willing to join us? Not gonna pry if hesitate but would be interested in any information she has.

Irtos will run around picking the flowers that Lothar picks out, though with some limits. She'll only pick wildflowers, not any that are obviously tended by someone. And she'll balk at any she thinks look bad. 

Zin sneaks around collecting flowers.

Borvnir, of course, does not engage in flower picking. That is an act for the weak, pitiful and vulnerable. He simply stands there, arms crossed, teeth bared, and observes the party as they frolic in and amongst the pathways, plucking flowers off cliff faces and hillsides, nestled amongst rocky soil and deep in cracks, until they've formed a bouquet of gorgeous petals. What a waste of time  he thinks I cannot imagine indulging in such fanciful behaviours.... He does, however, nip a small white flower off it's coiling stem as he passes it growing on a natural stone wall, using the edge of his claw to sever it. Then, as they walk to Tarak's garden, every so often he takes a peek down at the pale blossom held so gently in his palm. Tsch. Would look better stained with blood.
