Cherry ponders Tarak's words. Looking around she comments, "Where'd Zin get off to? He was here just a moment ago." She then sighs, "Aye, guess a land route it is." She draws her clothes tight to brace for the weather and saddles her chest with monster-hunting gear on her shoulder. "Off we go then? ...once we find Zin."
As you begin to travel along the road, Lothar's weather prediction proves exactly correct, namely, no snow to be seen anywhere. You skirt along the coast, avoiding the treacherous lands inland. You soon become tired of sloshing through the wet sand, but it doesn't take long to get used to.
Borvnir is used to the long marches he used to have in the army, and finds that his wide dragon feet allow him to distribute his weight across the sand well enough for it to not get on his nerves. [d4 result: 3]
As you slosh through the wet sand, you notice a cloud of steam ahead. Billowing clouds of steam emerge from the rocks ahead, and the air grows thicker with moisture. As you round a bend, you see a cove where a hot spring burbles up from the rocks and spills into a pool before draining into the ocean. The turquoise water is luminescent, and the gray basalt edges of the spring are lined with vibrantly colored mushrooms, which occasionally burst in a shower of rainbow spores.
Irtos looks at the hot spring, "That pool looks relaxing, not so sure about those spores though." She'll try to recall if she's read about these particular mushrooms before. (18 nature check)
Borvnir yawns in the steam, his cold lizard blood warming up to easily make him sleepier in the heat. 'No sign of the guardian either, it might be further in or could just be hiding in plain sight.' He takes a look into the steam and spores, seeing if he can discern any clues to its location or even the shape of an enemy in the haze. [Perception: 10 + 3 = 13]
Borvnir, as you glare into the steam, you notice how beautiful it is, curling up and down, wait, down? You look deeper and notice that there is definitely an unnatural shape to the steam. It seems like some sort of animal.

Irtos looks at Lothar with admiration, "Nice to know that in advance."
The weather is normal, slightly cloudy for the next 24 hours. I'll get the travel montage ready soon.

Small Irtos is not much used to traipsing through sand. The only thing going for her is that her light weight doesn't cause her to sink too much. 1

Zin walks over to the hot spring glancing at the mushrooms, “what do you guys think? Looks really nice. Can I try it out?”

Irtos, you recognize the mushrooms as an essential ingredient in healing potions, Heartcaps.
