In a whisper,"I find you to be a delight Hyacinth; I think they might fancy you the same! It will eat at me if we just pass by without at least attempting to converse with them." Cordimis gives a shrug and looks at the other two, waiting for their vocal opinions on the matter.

If the group decides to speak to the six strangers, Cordimis will touch Hyacinth's shoulder before leaving cover and cast guidance. You can add a d4 to an ability check of your choice.
Trix stares at the spectacle in amazement. Her voice a whisper, she says “I don’t speak any language other than what gets bandied around the streets, but I’d sure be interested in what they’re going on about over.”
Hyacinth stifles a snicker and gives Cordimis a light punch on the shoulder, "Oh, stop it, you'll make me blush! You sweetie you. But alright, if you both think I should go, then go I shall. Just... be sure to back me up if or when they try to eat me, eh? If this is the last thing I do, it's been an honor knowing you fine folks!"
Hyacinth blows their party a kiss then strolls right into the fray. "Pardon me, dear athletes! Sorry to interrupt your field day, but I was wonderin' if you might be able to answer some questions for me! I'm lookin' for someone who lives in these here woods and could use some local expertise, ya know?"
The bigger creatures give Hyacinth little more than a glance, staying focused on pulling with all their might. But both goblins turn and regard them with surprise.
The one on the left, a green-skinned wrinkly red-eyed fellow with a wide grinning mouth full of yellow needle teeth, barks at Hyacinth (in common):
”Don’t just stand there, get over here and help us!”
The other goblin, very similar in appearance but with great uneven patches of wispy gray hair sprouting from its head and down its back, growls, “Eyyy, that’s not fair—aughh!” It yelps as the straining of the bigger creatures causes the rope to raise higher in the air, lifting the little creature off the ground as it holds on tightly to the rope.
Cordimis, excited at the invite extended to Hyacinth, looks to the rest of the group, "Should we join? I want to join!" Less of the semi-stoic cleric you're used to, the seriousness melts away on her face at the prospect of playing like a kid. Although she's not very physically strong, she has heart and optimism.
Setting down her pack by a tree, she'll pop out into the open. "If you're going to that side Hyacinth, I'll even out the other." She walks toward the side with the wispy haired goblin, hands up showing she means no harm, "Mind if I lend a hand? Only seems fair!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Trying to squeeze between the bugbear and goblin, Cordimis notes the aggressive scents swirling around her from their efforts. Dirty, sweaty, pungent... She ends up reaching around the goblin and putting her hands in front of his, "Sorry 'bout this." She'll grit her teeth and pull with all her might.
All who want can join in on the tug of war and make athletics checks. Cordimis is joining the side on the right. Will anyone go left to balance her out?
“That’s really not fair,” acknowledges Kesili the goblin’s concern and hurries over to help the short-manned side. She thinks to herself, ‘Either way it is better to help both sides if we want to reduce the risk of conflict.’
(I’m experimenting with maps on the forums. Here’s a pretty simple representation of what I’m imagining. Red shows the right-hand troll bugbear and goblin, blue is the left-hand ones. Note that the party approached from above. Yellow indicates the adventurers, Hyacinth, Kesili, Cordimis, and where I imagine Trix would join, IF they choose to do so)

(OOC: Lol this is incredible! Thanks for the visualization -- go team red!)
(Since we last heard from Trix 2 days ago, let’s assume they have followed the rest of the group and taken position as indicated above, and I’ll roll Athletics for them)
Trix follows the lead of the rest of the group, evening things out on Cordimis’ side. But her heart doesn’t seem to be in it (rolls a nat 1, straight 1)
This leads to Team Left, with Hyacinth and Kesili, and with the goblin that had originally solicited help, winning the tug of war! Their added strength sends the other team stumbling into the mud. Trix goes sliding completely across the mudhole, and Cordimis stumbles aside, just in time for the goblin and bugbear to splat down. The ogre stumbles in right after them, carried completely off balance, huge arms windmilling, before falling with an almighty crash that sends mud flying everywhere.
No sooner does this happen than the muddied goblin leaps to its feet and howls, “No fair! The newcomers were not evenly matched!” It brandishes two little clubs from inside its vest as it says this.
The muddied bugbear and ogre also get to their feet, scowling. The bugbear grabs a nearby rock and the ogre finds a nearby fallen tree branch. The ogre in particular seems to be working itself into a rage; it holds the large branch up in the sky and roars a wordless challenge.
The victorious goblin mutters under his breath, “Ah, Hell’s bells and wishing wells, here we go again,” and his team quickly also arms itself with similarly blunt-force weapons.
You all have a short span of time in which to act before it seems like things are about to get serious.
Kesili watches in alarm as the playful tug of war quickly escalates into a potentially violent confrontation. She glances at her companions to see if the same apprehension is mirrored in their eyes. She knows they must act quickly to de-escalate the situation and avoid a needless fight. Drawing on her diplomatic skills, she steps forward, hands raised in a gesture of peace.
"Wait, wait!" Kesili calls out, her voice firm but calm. "This was all in good fun! There's no need for violence. We came to ask for your help, not to cause trouble." She quickly glances at the goblin who had declared the situation unfair. "You're right, we didn't mean to disrupt the balance. But we didn't come here to fight. And you asked for help, didn't you? How can we not help if someone asks us to?"
She takes a deep breath and continues, addressing all the creatures present. "We are looking for a witch with yellow eyes. She may have passed through here recently. Can any of you help us? If you can, we promise to make it worth your while."
Kesili hopes her words will reach them and that the promise of mutual benefit will appeal to the creatures. To emphasize her sincerity, she slowly reaches into her pouch and pulls out a dice set. She holds it up for them to see. "We can play it out over dice, if you wish. Or, in return for your assistance, we could do another bout with you two," she points at the goblins, "Ahem, with you two selecting a team member one after the other from you guys and us included. That would be the fairest contest! Wouldn't it? And, then, perhaps, we can share more stories and games once our quest is done. What do you say?"
She looks around at the assembled creatures, hoping to see a spark of interest or at least a hesitation that will give her group a chance to avoid conflict.
Cordimis will wipe the mud from her clothes, her smile fading at the insinuation of a fight. She’s seen plenty of tavern brawls, but this could get ugly quick with weapons.
She’ll put her hands up to show she is not brandishing a weapon. Backing up Kesili’s sentiments, “Woah, definitely not here to pick a fight. Just trying to find the witch that resides in these woods. Her offer is genuine, we could definitely make it worth your while!”
Hyacinth was going to jump in, but seeing Kesili taking the lead, they hang back a bit. "Not a bad idea, appealing to their sense of sport, clever Kesili. I sure hope this doesn't come to blows, but I'm ready to make some heads roll if it does." Hyacinth keeps a hand on their sword, keen to see how this plays out.
The goblin’s eyes glitter as it looks you up and down. Quickly, it mutters to you, “The yellow eyed witch lives yonder. Follow the path of kingly oaks. When you see the signs, you’ll know you’re close. Be persistent and you may yet find her. Now go, before someone gets their head bashed in.”
[he indicated further East]
He turns back to the fray that is about to break out, but says over his shoulder, “And don’t worry about us, we just knock each other about, but we’ll be alright.”

Kesili can make a persuasion check (disadvantage because they’re riled, but advantage for getting help from Cordimis et al, so a straight roll)
(just to warn you in advance, this is likely to come to blows, but your words and persuasion check will not be for naught)
Persuasion: natural 20 for 21 total :)
