Talorin DEX Saves Save 1: 6+3 = 9 Save 2: 12+3 = 15
Continually slipping and sliding it seems, Talorin stands up to regain his bearings. By the time he's ready again the beast is felled. He takes to the air upon his spectral wings to make sure no further danger lurks.
The Sea Hags, a mischievous glint in their eyes, chanted in unison, their voices echoing through the cavern. Green energy crackled around the Borthak, its massive form contorting and twisting. With a sickening squelch, the creature was transformed, its monstrous form shrinking and morphing into that of a plump, bewildered-looking pigeon. Feathers sprouted from its hide, its claws retracting into tiny, useless nubs. The pigeon, bewildered by its sudden transformation, flapped its wings weakly, tumbling to the ground.
(Polymorph spell: Borthak must pass a DC13 WIS Save or a lovely pigeon he becomes)
Necyra casts Toll the Dead on Borthak: DC17 WIS Save or suffer from 13 necrotic damage.
(The lowest dex save Trystane can roll is a 16, so I don't roll for the saves.)
Trystane infuses his claws with the power of thunder and slashes once, twice at the Borthak, hoping to end the creature.
Action: two unarmed strikes Bonus: Crimson Rite (5 damage to self) @B1, hit 27 for 14 magical slashing and 2 thunder damage @B1, hit 25 for 12 magical slashing and 6 thunder damage
As the polymorph spell takes hold, you see the huge ice wolf reduced to a diminutive bird, right before Trystane pummels the ever-living-birdseed out of it, with enough damage to transfer over to kill the borthak, the pigeon falls into a heap of scattered feathers before slowly morphing back into a huge frozen wolf.
Hewn from the rock and earth, the Warden's Temple is a sanctuary hidden deep underground. Its central gathering area is surrounded by six small adjoining cells, where the wardens sleep, meditate, and pray. This place serves as their refuge, where they await the moonlit nights that define their lives and purpose. The air within the temple is cool and damp, carrying the faint scent of earth and stone. Despite its rugged simplicity, the temple exudes an aura of quiet reverence and strength, a sacred haven for those who worship Habbakuk and protect the natural order.
As the group approaches the massive, weathered oak door that guards the temple, Riffle rushes ahead, his excitement overcoming him. He pounds on the door and calls out in a loud, urgent voice, “Friends, it’s me, Riffle! I’ve got help!” For a moment, there’s only silence. Then, as if struck by a sudden realization, Riffle slaps his forehead and mutters, “The knock! The knock!”Quickly, he taps out the secret knock, a rhythmic sequence only the wardens know.
On the other side, a muffled voice acknowledges the signal, and the heavy oak door groans as it slowly creaks open. Standing in the doorway is Argentia Skywright, her piercing eyes scanning Riffle and the strangers with him. The human werewolf, clad in simple but functional clothing, exudes a mix of warmth and authority.
“You came through, Riffle,”she says with a proud smile. “You’re a true champion of the wardens.”Her expression softens as she turns her gaze to the party. “And these must be those who have offered their aid. Welcome to our temple, friends.”
She steps aside, gesturing for the group to enter. The room beyond is dimly lit by torches mounted on the stone walls, their flickering light casting shadows that dance across the rugged surfaces. Despite the temple’s humble design, a palpable sense of unity and purpose fills the air.
As the party steps inside, Argentia’s face grows serious. Her tone shifts, carrying a weight of urgency. “I must warn you,”she begins, her voice steady but grave. “The attacks on us will not end because of our recent assault on The Three Moons Vault."
She leads the group deeper into the temple, where the wardens gather around to listen. The flickering torchlight illuminates their faces, revealing a mix of hope and determination as Argentia prepares to share what she knows of the vault and its secrets.
"There are things you must know before you proceed. But first, let us rest and prepare. You’ll need all your strength and knowledge to help us face what lies ahead."
Feel free to take a short rest or even a long rest.
“Valendar, our leader, is imprisoned in the Three Moons Vault. He uncovered a ritual being prepared by Teremini, one involving an artifact shard. Recognizing the grave threat this posed, he rallied the Wardens to launch an assault on the Vault. While the campaign wasn’t entirely a failure, it came at a heavy cost."
Argentia blinks at Riffle and the others, a lycanthrope gesture of reverence and respect. "We managed to inflict significant damage to their defenses, but Valendar was captured in the process. Forced to retreat, we were pursued by a monstrosity they unleashed upon us, the Borthak. It was a creature of terrible power, designed to scatter and weaken us further."
There is a somber howl of victory, from the group, quiet and low, bittersweet. "Now, we call on you for help. We must free Valendar. He is the only one who truly understands the full intent of Teremini’s ritual. What little we know is alarming: the ritual seems to harness the light of all three moons, focusing their energies into lunar crystals. These crystals could be used to create new shapeshifters, control existing ones, or, worse still, transform them into mindless, savage lycanthropes, utterly devoid of free will."
"Please, help us liberate Valendar. Only he can reveal the depths of Teremini’s plans and guide us to stop her before it’s too late.”
Necyra listened intently to Argentia's tale, her heart filled with sympathy for the plight of the Blue Fire Wardens. The threat posed by Teremini was grave, and the fate of the world might very well depend on their success. "We will help you," she declared, her voice firm.
She glanced at her companions, their faces reflecting a shared determination. They were a formidable team, each with their own unique skills and strengths. Together, they would face any challenge that lay ahead.
Necyra turned to Riffle. "Tell us everything you know about the Three Moons Vault," she said, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Every detail, every weakness, every opportunity."
Before settling down for a well-deserved rest, Necyra took a moment to appreciate her surroundings. The temple, though simple, exuded a sense of peace and tranquility. She could feel the connection to nature, the reverence for life that permeated the very air. It was a powerful druidic reminder of the importance of protecting the natural world.
Trystane stood silently as Argentia spoke, his clawed hands resting on his belt, the faint flicker of torchlight casting sharp shadows across his face. The weight of the Blue Fire Wardens' plight settled on him like a familiar cloak, their struggle echoing his own feelings of being caught between the wild and the civilized, the monstrous and the noble. As the low howl of victory faded, Trystane finally spoke, his voice deep and measured. “Valendar fought for your cause and paid the price. It’s only right we help bring him back.” His eyes flicked to Riffle, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. “You’ve got spirit, I’ll give you that, Riffle. Let’s hope we can match it when we step into this Vault of yours.” His gaze returned to Argentia. “These lunar crystals, this ritual… it’s not just your fight. If Teremini succeeds, it’s every lycanthrope and shapeshifter, every free soul who’ll suffer. I’ll stand with you to see this through. But tell me—this Vault, it sounds like a fortress. How do we get in without giving them the fight they’re expecting?”
Before the conversation continued, Trystane turned his attention to the temple’s rugged beauty, running a clawed hand along the rough stone of the walls. “This place,” he said softly, “it reminds me of something. A haven for those caught between worlds, who fight to protect what matters. It’s good work you do here. We won’t let it fall.” He took a seat among the others, stretching his shoulders and rolling his neck as his troll blood worked to close his wounds. As he prepared to rest, he added, “When the moons rise, we’ll be ready. But when we free Valendar, don’t let him try to fight alone again. No one stands against darkness alone—not anymore.”

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
The Three Moons Vault sits high at the top of a peak in the Northern Dargaard Mountains. The wardens of the past built three magical towers: a spacious white tower for Solinari, a handsome red tower for Lunitari, and a solemn black tower for Nuitari. The Cataclysm destroyed the white tower, disrupting the balance of magic between the three towers. Lord Soth’s forces from nearby Dargaard Keep assumed control of the ruins. They built fortified walls around the site and carved out a subterranean vault to contain prisoners and treasure. The vault is now under the purview of a servant of Lord Soth and operates as a prison for the overlord’s enemies and a safe house for his underlings.
Teremini Nightsedge is a loyal servant of Lord Soth but she may have her own agenda for the ancient moon towers.
We must mount a second assault on The Three Mooons Vault. This time we need to rescue Valendar and stop Teremini's Dark Ritual. If we can recover your "rod" then let's call that our third objective.
Argentira Skywright says, let's rest up and prepare for the assault, the rescue, and the recovery of your lost item.
Necyra nodded in agreement. "Rest and preparation are key," she said, her voice firm. "We must be at our peak to face the challenges that lie ahead."
She glanced around the temple, taking in the atmosphere of reverence and unity. "We will not fail," she vowed, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "We will free Valendar, disrupt Teremini's ritual, and reclaim the fifth piece of the Rod of Seven Parts, and have a little fun while we're at it, giving these evil dudes their just rewards..." she says with a sneer.
As the party settled down for rest, Necyra couldn't help but ponder the gravity of their mission. The fate of Krynn, and perhaps even the multiverse, might depend on their success. She knew that the road ahead would be perilous, but she was ready to face any challenge, to overcome any obstacle, to ensure the triumph of good over evil.
Trystane crossed his arms, leaning against the cool stone wall of the temple, his expression thoughtful as Argentia and Necyra spoke. When there was a pause, he stepped forward, his gravelly voice breaking the quiet. “The white tower,” he began, glancing at the others. “If it was destroyed in the Cataclysm, it might’ve been overlooked when they fortified the Vault. Ruins can make for good cover—and an even better way in if they haven’t reinforced it. Might be easier than going straight through the front gates.” He looked to Argentia. “You know these mountains better than us. Think there’s a chance the white tower’s rubble leads anywhere close to the Vault? Even an old tunnel or collapsed hall could give us the edge.” Turning to Riffle and the others, he added with a faint smirk, “I’m all for kicking down the front door if we have to, but I’d rather not spend the first fight getting peppered with arrows. What do you say?”

Necyra nodded in agreement, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Trystane's right," she said, "Who wants to face a horde of guards at the front door when we can sneak in through a crumbling ruin? Besides," she added with a playful wink and blows an air-kiss to Trystane, "it would be a shame to miss out on exploring the remnants of the White Tower."
She turned to Argentia..."What do you think, Guardian? Do you know of any secret passages or hidden entrances that might lead us to the ruins of the White Tower?"
The next morning, Riffel and the other Blue Fire Wardens gather to devise a plan. As they huddle around a crude map of the region, Riffel outlines their strategy.
“We’ll lead you to the main entrance path,”he says confidently, gesturing to a marked trail. “Once we’ve shown you the way, we’ll split off to search for another way in. I’m sure I can find a second entrance. We managed to escape once before, so it stands to reason we can reenter through the same route.”
Riffel’s eyes gleam with determination as he continues. “If we can get inside from a second entrance, we’ll meet up with you deeper in the Vault. At this rate, you’ll clear out the guards and sentinels along the main path, paving the way for us to join you and make this campaign far more successful than the last.”
The Wardens nod in agreement, their resolve clear. The plan is set, and all that remains is to put it into action.
Around the corner from where Riffel leaves the party is the vault’s entrance.

Necyra, her eyes fixed on the Moonlight Guardians, reacted swiftly. With a graceful movement, she unfurled her wings and soared into the air, ascending to a height of thirty feet. From her aerial vantage point, she could assess the situation and unleash her magic with greater precision.
With a focused concentration, she channeled her divine energy, her eyes locked on the nearest Moonlight Guardian (MG1). A chilling aura emanated from her, a spectral presence that reached out towards the creature. The Toll the Dead spell took effect, a single, ominous chime echoing through the air.

MG2 uses moonlight blast, that will hit Trystane and Necyra in a 60 foot line. Radiant Damage (28), Dexterity Save DC 14 for half.
Moonlight Blast (Recharge 5–6). The guardian unleashes a magical blast of moonlight in a line 60 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. Creatures that aren’t in their true form have disadvantage on the save. On a failed save, a creature takes 22 (5d8) radiant damage, and if it isn’t in its true form, it is forced into its true form and can’t change forms until the end of the guardian’s next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage only.
