Ransyl
“So, it looks like we could jump from stone to stone to get to the inner shrine. I’m going to give it a go!” And with that Ransyl sheaths his axes and begins leap frogging to the shrine.
OoC: I guess so. I was waiting to see if it was athletics or acrobatics to see if I should be giving it to Keyleth or Kirniar as Ransyl had already gone ahead.
Kirinar immediately throws a rope to Keyleth, calling out "My grandpappy used to tell me stories about hunting for gators this way, but I don't think we want to try it! Climb up or grab ahold of the rope and we'll get you up here!"
Keyleth manages to swim to the rope and starts to climb. With the strength of Kirinar helping her she is able to reach the balcony with the others.
You find yourselves on a balcony about 5 feet wide that runs on the south side of the building. There is a door in front of you on the south side of the building. From where you came you could also see that the balcony ran around the building to the west side and there was another door there. The balcony appear to run around the east side of the building as well.
You are now at the red X with a crocodile about 40 feet away swimming towards the balcony where you are standing.
Keyleth finds the door unlocked and trap free. Opening it quietly the group moves into the room.
These windowless rooms are connected by open archways and are more opulently decorated than the rest of the ruins. In one nook stands a rudimentary alchemical lab, surrounded by damaged shelves full of equally abused books. In another a large heap of fine silk cushions have been piled up into a nest bed. The main room seems to be an audience chamber of sorts, more carvings depicting scenes of swamp life now intermingled with images of snake-headed humanoids. At the far end of this room, behind what once likely was an altar that is now heaped with cushions, a makeshift wooden door is set into an archway leading further into the shrine.
You take this in quickly as you also realize you are not alone. Two large kobolds stand in the first room watching you enter. They hold shields and spears. They do not move to attack you. They stand on each side of the archway directly in front of you.
"Halt!" one of the yells as you enter the room.
Another, smaller kobold wearing a robe comes out of the room in front of you.
"Welcome intruders, what is your business disturbing the Black Claw Clan?"

Kirinar steps forward and speaks to the kobold, his shield and weapon held firmly and ready for business. "We are here to stop the attacks on our town by the Black Claw kobolds. You are causing trouble between the town of Mire's Edge and the lizardfolk settlements in the swamp. We're here to let you know this will not be tolerated. Cease your attacks and agree to keep to your temple and surrounding area, or face the consequences. We have spared your families and young as a show of good spirit. Will you agree to peace and stop attacking our people, caravans, homesteads, and livestock?"

OoC: Would this be acrobatics or athletics?
Not willing to be outdone by the dwarf, Kirinar follows behind and leaps from one stone to another.

Kirinar and Ransyl hop from stone to stone and make their to the balcony of the inner shrine.
Keyleth follows the two fighters, attempting short, precise hops across the stones...

Oof, Keyleth. I was going to give you guidance if it was athletics😖

OoC: Heh, probably wouldn't have mattered. At best it would've brought it up to 9. Appreciate the thought though!

OoC: I assume Keyleth fell into the water... Assuming she doesn't immediately get eaten by crocodiles...
Keyleth rights herself and paddles toward the rope that Kirinar threw to her, trying to grab onto it and start to climb up.

Eyes never leaving the crocodile, Faen says, ”Maybe we head inside now?”
"Uh, yes please." Keyleth reaches for the door but pulls back just before touching it, remembering to check it for traps first.

Keyleth shifts uncomfortably at being addressed and looks over to Kirinar, probably the smoothest talker of the group.
