Rova returns to where she has left Lucy and the group with this newfound knowledge. She felt quite smart but wasn't sure what to make of what she learnt.
"I spoke to the cat, his name's Timmik. He told me exactly what the giant was telling us!" Rova said, almost excited to share what she knew.
Goggles is a little despondent that the giant left without much more conversation, but maybe that's for the best. Looks like she and the party has a lot of other things to be getting on with, and if she's not going to be a threat, then that's okay with him. He calls Dangar in Common and says 'Don't worry about the giant, I think we should just leave her from now on. The homestead doesn't look to big so it won't take long to look ourselves, and the giant seems to be unbothered by us anyway.' He then congratulates Lucy for what she's found out from Timmick 'Oh, that's great, I'm really glad to hear that!' Hearing the giant was speaking the truth really does put his mind at ease.
He then waits for the party to finish any more discussions they're having, before saying 'I think we should check the house first. Not only might there be a map or some details on where to find the last ingredients, but we may also find Arthur's will, which the authorities will need sooner or later. We can leave the barn until later for if we don't find anything inside the house'
[Oh right sorry, didn't notice that on the map, guess we should head there first then. Also, taking a closer look at the map it seems like the barn has some penned areas, possible for cows, and there's cheese in the cellar, so although we should obviously not meta game, at least we're all aware the ingredients might be in the barn and house!]
Rova still had questions about the previous adventurers that has come by, especially now but she decided that if it was important then one of the others would ask it.
Goggles was the first to suggest they go into the house and she was glad someone got to that. "Agreed! Let's just go into the house, we know there's no one left in there since the man of the house is dead." She said simply.
Heading towards the door she had knocked before, Rova pulls it open.
((Kitty!))The ghost kids scream and rush toward the cat. Lucy lets out a sigh of relief.
“Well done, Rova! This is an improvement. At least we know the giant isn't lying. By the way, she is a Fire Giant, with fire immunity and great strength. A tough opponent, but I’ve fought Frost Giants before. I know how to handle her kind.”
Then Lucy stops talking. It seems the mystery was solved. It was just an accident and misunderstanding. (But really?) Something feels wrong. Something feels not right.
“Kaga said he sent adventurers because he lost contact with Arthur for a month. But the giant and the cat said the adventurers killed him, which means…” Lucy stares at the house. “The thing that made Arthur occupied might still be here. And that wasn't his death.”
Lucy recalls that her Wood Elf cousin, Mia who is also a druid, mentioned that druids with farms tend to keep diaries to record and prepare for seeding and harvesting. Also finding Arthur's will ( that Goggles mentioned) might help the female giant and her children.
Lucy sends her familiar, Artemis, to search for a desk and books.
Perception:18
While waiting for Artemis and the others’ report, Lucy begins a ritual. She moves her hands in intricate patterns and chants softly. After a few moments, a horse-like creature with pale skin and a mane that looks like swirling smoke emerges, summoned to aid her.

Goggles goes around and opens any cupboards he can reach, looking inside and taking in the contents. He takes some long sweeping glances at the shelves, seeing if anything relevant, important or valuable stands out, but otherwise just observing what Arthur had in his cupboards.
Rova listens in to what the others have to say about Arthur's death and finds it agreeable. If the adventurers killed him then who tossed the adventurers into the river?
Not able to find much even as they got into the house, Rova finds herself confused. Tightening her grip on her spear as she moves forward, Rova looks around for any weapons or signs of fighting. (Perception check: 5)

Dangar hears the others mutter about the adventurers and their well deserved fate. The adventurers OBVIOUSLY attacked some kids - the giant lady's kids, and Arthur tried to stop them. So OBVIOUSLY the adventurers attacked him and Momma giant killed their asses and tossed them in the river. OBVIOUSLY. Which reminds him to write a note to stab those suckers again when he gets back to town. Attacking a momma and her kids?! Shame! AAANNNNDDD Arthur was the one sending food to feed kids at the town!! He gonna stab them TWICE!
Shaking his head Dangar goes in search of a cow and a bucket.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
The front doors open to a large living area. Most of the interior has been demolished to make one open room that’s 20 feet high. The seam along the walls where the second level used to connect is still visible. The interior walls are mostly demolished, though a few remain.
The only room that still stands is in the southwest corner; it can be entered by a single door. It appears to be a small library. Above the library is a loft with an improvised railing made from wood and wire that reaches partway to the ceiling. After a few moments inside, noise comes from the loft: “Ima! Ima!” the voice echoes through the room. Mooing comes from the barn, and then heavy footfalls from within the barn move toward the main hall. After a moment, the giant you met exits the barn through the sliding door, closing the door behind her. She begins stoking the fire, then reaches into the pot of boiling water and plucks out the rubber cap. She snaps it onto a clear jar filled with frothy, fresh cow’s milk. Cooing softly, she carries it toward the fenced-off area above the library. Then, out from the shadows at the back of the loft space staggers a 6-foot-tall fire giant toddler. He reaches toward his mother, who snuggles him and gives him the bottle. The mother then sits on the table by the fire and, heating bits of spare metal, goes about crafting what appears to be a homemade sword.
She eyes you all a bit but seems focused on taking care of her child at the moment.
The main hall’s west wall is lined with shelves. In the northwest corner, a blazing hearth emanates bright light and abundant heat. A pot of water boils on the hearth, and a large rubber cap for bottle-feeding calves bobs in the water. A dining table sits near the hearth. A large sliding door leads north into the barn and an open glass door leads east into the greenhouse.
There is a small protrusion behind the desk (on the wall) and lots of books, beakers, and jars of mosses and bark; and a few decorative items along the walls.
Dangar is able to easily find a can and bucket and milk a cow to acquire the needed ingredient.
“The druid had reformed the house for the giants...” Lucy surveys the vastly renovated living room, noting the thoughtful adjustments made to accommodate the giant inhabitants. As she does so, the ghost kids return to her side.
(That's a baby's voice...)(Baby? Giant?)(Giant baby...) Rose looks up at Lucy. (Lucy, Kaga said he lost touch with Arthur for a month. Maybe that's because...)
Lucy nods to the little girl. To avoid provoking the female giant, she slowly moves toward the desk and conjures a translucent magical hand to pick up the books on it.
“So this is your child...” she says to the mother. “What is their name? How old are they? Were they …born on this farm?”
Casting Mage Hand to pick up the books on the desk and shelve.
Rova is unsure of what to look at and doesn't think she'll get much from the books. She lets the others take a few minutes to observe parts of the room.
Trying to help in, Rova moves towards the desk and examines the space behind it where it seems like something is jutting out. Curious to see if something is hidden, she pulls the table forward a bit to check.

There appears to be a hidden safe here behind a sliding panel. You can try to pick the lock with a Sleight of Hand check. Rova does feel the burning eyes of the giant behind them though.
Excited at the prospect of finding a hidden safe, Rova pulls the table forward until she can inspect it closer.
Splintering off a piece of wood from behind the desk, Rova ignored the presence of the giant and tries to pick the lock but to no awail. (Sleight of Hand check: 8)
Frustrated at her inability to get the safe open, Rova sighs and gets back up. She considers getting the help of one of the others but decides to give it a final go before she does. Rova casts Mage Hand and tries to get it to pick the lock for her.

The mother keeps a wary eye on Lucy as she responds, trying to keep the toddler's attention as well to finish eating:
"Calor. They are a baby still. Not born here. Not from here."
