Syed steps up to the wagon, giving Mellow, the massive mastiff, a firm pat on the side. "We dealt with some road bandits," he says in a matter-of-fact tone, his eyes already drifting to his backpack lab. "Broke up their operation, took their loot. Nothing too complicated."
With that, he gives Mellow a final pat and heads straight for his backpack lab, eager to get back to his work.

William nods to Herbert and the vulture quickly hops over to the bag and picks it up in his beak. A moment later Herbert delivers the bag to William and the undertaker gives him a gentle pat on the head before taking the bag into his hand. Glancing inside the bag, William smiles at the sight of the coins and potion before closing it back up. "Well, I think it's time we head out... We have places to be after all." He says with an unsettling grin before tipping his hat towards the bandits.
As the group heads back to the caravan, William look to his companions. "So do you want to split up the 75 coins in this bag? I figured we eached earned them. If you don't wanna split them up, I'm OK with one of us just holding on to them." He says with a smile before making his way into the carriage.
William doesn't mention the potion however. He keeps it in his pocket so that he can help to administer it to others as needed.
Sighing, Zeren sheathes his sword and stows away his shield, then stretches.
"That was a good fight. Nothing like spilling blood to make you feel alive."
The massive armored man acts like he just got a good workout in as opposed to having nearly lost his life in combat with how nonchalant he is.
Hearing the Wizard talking about gold Zeren walks over to William and puts out his hand for the bag.
"I'll carry the gold for now. If we're sticking together we can use communally."
As the group walks off Zeren asks a question conversationally.
"So what do you think the wereravens will do? I think I put enough fear into them that they won't try for revenge, but I'd rather not have to deal with another attack if we pass this way."
"It's ok, we gave them a solid arse kicking. They'll know better next time, and if not we gave them their one chance." Kolette sighs, "maybe we'll luck out in the future since we spared their rotten feathers."

She quickly scrambles over to her dead brother and lifts him up, ignoring the departing adventurers. Tomo (who kept his hands above his head) soon later transforms back into his wereraven self and flies down and tries to put his hand on her shoulder, to which Sally pushes away. Going back to the caravan, Eren is surprised by the haul of the barrel and helps you guys put it in. Upon the noncommittal answer, Eren nods and doesn't prod further. You continue on your journey towards Emberwood Village. Day turns into night, and the sky turns a deeper purple than you've seen before on your journey. You're getting closer to Drakkenheim.
Like you do every night, you decide to camp out in the stars. By this it means just parking the caravan somewhere deep off road before continuing again. Eren lights a small bonfire by a clearing among several dead trees. Crows hang over head, perched in those trees like little gargoyles; any food dropped is quickly snatched up by them. Starry stays by the caravan and sleeps there. Eren attempted to hook them up to the caravan with the reins, but it refused. Instead, whining and wiggling its way of of there. Yet it still decided to follow the ways with you. It keeps looking back but still trudges along ahead right behind the caravan.
"We're nearly there. It's basically the home stretch of miles now," Eren says. There's not much food to cook other than dried berries and meats, so Eren just makes a very watery stew with the wine and beef jerky they had. "I just wanted to say thanks for all the help ya did."
They solemnly just continue to stir the stew and hand you each bowls if you take it.
You all complete a short rest
This is a time for downtime. You can choose what you want to do ie. go hunting, chat with each other/Eren, explore the environment, etc.
Sparkles camps out behind the wagon close to Starry; she's more than accustomed to starlit nights in the wild. As for downtime, she spends most of it training against a tree, particularly ones with crow-covered branches to try and scare them off. She comments over dinner how she feels like 'my punches feel a little stronger now. Maybe that combat helped me out to train more than I thought!' She also seems enamoured by the 75 gold pieces. She's never had much money in her life, and has had no need to, but something about that amount of cash makes her hunger for more. Each precious coin was like it's own star. However, she reasons with herself and concludes it's best someone else stronger and more responsible deals with the money, like Zeren. She sits and analyses each piece before handing it over, commenting thoughtfully that 'Perhaps when I'm older and richer after this quest I'll have more of my own cash. My own personal hoard.' It's unclear where she's picked up that last word, but she seems to like it.
As darkness settled over the camp, William would take his bulging bloodstained pack and disappears off into the nearby treeline. Once there, he pulls out a few chunks of raw meat and begins eating his macabre meal. Herbert sits on a nearby branch , his head hanging low as he keeps his eyes peeled to anyone that may approach William. While sitting with his back against the tree... removing meat from bone with his sharp teeth... he stares out into the darkness... surveying the area for anything of interest.

After a long silence, he glances up at the sky and mutters, "It's been a long road. We're almost there." He looks at Eren and adds, "Thanks for keeping the caravan going."
Not one for much small talk, he soon retreats into his backpack lab to check on a few experiments. Before disappearing inside, he offers, "I'll be working through the night. Let me know if anyone needs anything." Then, without further ado, he slips away, leaving only the flicker of the fire behind.

Stars can't be seen much from here as if the clouds of the haze following them out into outer space. The moon peeks through with just a sliver. The night is tinged with a chill cold. "No problem,"Eren says to Syed, smiling, "Yous've been good company."
The crows scatter at Sparkles's mischief, cawing at her once she kicks the tree, then circling back to other tress only just to be kicked again. They're the only thing that blot the dark black sky.
Eren laughs at the girl's enthusiasm, "Maybe one day. I'd sure as wish I'd win a pot of gold or something. If I'd hadn't already been traveling the world, but I'd travel it even farther you know that."They tap their chin.
"What would you do with it?"
@Zeren
Your perception was so bad you accidentally hit your head on a low-hanging tree branch. It doesn't hurt much but it snags part of your helmet. You look a little bit silly stuck to a branch.
@William
This part of the dried withered woods is quiet. You've strayed far from your friends but not too far. The branches underfoot crick and crack; they snap with ease. There is no leafy bedding. All that was once living here has been dead, except for the birds it seems. They just linger. Few mushrooms dart the part.
You end up by scattered ponds of a one marshy land in a caked over ground. The once vibrant green now lays dried brown. Here you see the remains of what looks to have been a campfire... and by the smell of it, it wasn't too recent but not all too long ago either. You find a small crab trap along the shore. Yet you are certain though that would be no crabs to live in these freshwater marshes. No one seems or smells to be around you.

William finishes cleaning the meat from a bone before tossing it to the ground and making his way towards the crab trap. once there he inspects it and takes it if it appeara intact.
You inspect the crab trap. It is made of bent metal wires and looks to be in good condition. Yet despite your initial thoughts, there is in fact a crab there, except it could be said it looks... a little fishy. Where the large claw should go instead seems to split off into fingers. There are hard chitin exoskeleton grooves on each of those short fingers, allowing them to curl up and down on its own while the rest of the crab sits patiently.
Its two back swimming legs deviate into a curled nail right off at the end. The tint of the shell is a dark purple color. Its mouth bubbles with liquid that can't be said to be water. It does nothing when you jostle the cage around.
At this point you notice that some of the edges of the waters too glow a faint purple.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well... What exactly are you?" William asks as he looks a bit closer at the creature. He then sits the cage down and moves closer to the waters edge. After kneeling down he pulls the empty healing potion bottle from his pocket and uses it to collect a sample of water. he is careful not to let the water touch his skin as he does so. Once some water is in the bottle he holds it close to his face and tries to determine what is making it glow... and if it somehow corrupted the creature in the cage.
You reach into the water to go take a sample. The water's edges have a greasy film to it. The water glops in longer than usual to fill up the bottle. It smells of nothing, not even of stagnancy. The liquid inside the bottle sloshes against the sides.
You've never seen something like this before, but from what you've seen on the sides of the roads and how barren this place has become, you're certain it is from some type of pollution one way or the other. But what must it be? Delerium? Yes, you're closer to the city than ever before. You've heard of these strange purple rocks in your hometown. Ever since the meteor everyone's been talking about it, but no one you knew has ever seen once up close and neither have you. You've heard the stories of its pertinence to abominations. But you can't see any of those rocks nearby. Maybe has it seeped into the soil? But how could it be all the way here? Wasn't there a village in between this and the city? How can anyone live in these conditions?
Twigs bob up and down in the stagnant water. The crab sits in its cage patiently, looking already defeated.
