Thorne sneaks forward and evaluates the ambush. (How many and how close to each other? Preparing entangle.)
Thorne, Ozymandias:
Upon a second look, as the small figures have calmed down, now searching for whoever entered their domain, you would think that there are five or six of them, spread out among a 20 ft. square from the edges of the alley to where they first attacked.

Thorne shouts, leaping out from behind a smashed crate. Ivy on the walls and the ground surges up towards these fighters, snagging four surprised by this magic, although two more duck out of the way on the sides of the alley. "Hey!" one shouts in an old man's voice, and the squawks of others...which sound similar to those of seagulls...echo off of the sides of the alley.

Haha! I got you to click here! I'm an Evoker who loves D&D, roleplaying, and Magic. My characters might "accidentally" kill yours. Consider this an advance warning. If a vex randomly spawns in and starts attacking you, it's probably me. Also, the Minecraft devs really need to add Illusioners to bedrock.
Great, now that you have clicked the spoiler, you know all about me! See you in the PbP thread. :)

I hear the sounds of a scuffle occuring down the alley. "Ooh, are we fighting? Why are we all (motioning to Karrius, Tristain, and Thurimar) just standing here?"
I start running down the alley with my great-greataxe raised, ready to strike the first thing I see.

Dammit, the 3 dmg hit on Thorne almost caused him to lose concentration on Entangle but he managed to not let it distract him. (rolled 8 for concentration save, used heroic inspiration to re-reroll and got a 16)
The first one crawls back, shrieking, as its arm - and most of its cloak - are ripped away by the slash. Looking at the creature now, you can see a bird, appearing to be a flightless raven the size of a dwarf. You recognize this creature immediately as a kenku, the mimic-bird thugs of the Nine Kingdoms.
