The Wiz peeks under the water to get a full view of the seaLion and screams. “BLUB-B-B-B-B-AHHHHH!!!” Before coming up for air and plotting his next move. Then he remembers that he Still has a Bonus Action, and uses it to Misty Step out of the water tier and down into the bottom tier.

You hear a pop as The Wiz impacts something before reaching the sand.

Ooh it burns! 

DC 12 DEX save at disadvantage to avoid being engulfed.

Frustrated that its original snack got away the crayfish attacks Number 9 latching on with claws!

Grey is still faced with a hungry crayfish himself!

claw! Attack: 10 Damage: 5 Grappled on hit.

The other armored creatures get closer and will be upon the party next round.

The sea lion surfaces and roars in anger!

Everybody gogo!

Ember sees the sealion break the surface and hears the roar. 'Not fire this time,' he thought as he spoke arcane words and made a gesture as his fingers frost over, turning pale and numb.  As he whispered words of icy death, he summoned a bone-chilling air that immediately settles onto the sealion.   

Frostbite

An orb of biting cold coalesces around the sealion, instantly numbing its extremities and causing its skin to pale, while the moisture in its breath freezes in the air.

CON save 15 or take 12 pts of cold dmg

Ember watched as the sealion experienced severe fatigue, its movements sluggish and clumsy, as the freezing cold inflicts damage and makes it difficult for them to attack effectively.

OOC: Dexterity Saving Throw: 3 eep!

The Wiz seems to have found himself inside a creature that causes him to, well, die. His mind cracks like a whip and he immediately casts Vortex Warp on the ooze creature, attempting to teleport it into the water and hoping with all his might that oozes are water soluble. 

OOC: Constitution Saving Throw, DC 17, or the oozes learns to swim.

Alexia decides to stop worrying about conserving her mana and dives into the crayfish tank. After swimming to be within 10 feet of the creatures attacking Grey and 9, she invokes the strength of the void and summons the dark arms of hadar! 

All creatures within 10 feet of her must succeed on a DC 14 strength save or be slashed and battered by the unholy strength of the darkness itself, taking 18 necrotic damage on a failure and half of that on a success.

Grey will cast Spirit Guardians!

15 foot radius of him, WIS Save 16 or 10 damage.

As a bonus action, he will use another war priest point and attack the crayfish in front of him, /w disadvantage:

15 for 6 damage

WIS save 0

WIS save 7

WIS save 3

WIS save 6

All of the crayfish take damage. The one that was being pummeled by Grey leaks white blood through its shell which acts like an attractant to the other crayfish.

They gang up on it and tear it apart!

3 lightly damaged crayfish remain.

All of the sea lions are swimming aggressively circling their tank.

The cube tries to glorp The Wiz! he takes 16 Acid damage

Engulf. An engulfed target is suffocating, can’t cast spells with a Verbal component, has the Restrained condition, and takes 10 (3d6) Acid damage at the start of each of the cube’s turns. When the cube moves, the engulfed target moves with it. An engulfed target can try to escape by taking an action to make a DC 12 Strength (Athletics) check. On a successful check, the target escapes and enters the nearest unoccupied space. Success: Half damage, and the target moves to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the cube. If there is no unoccupied space, the target fails the save instead.

Creatures inside the cube have Total Cover, and the cube can hold one Large creature or up to four Medium or Small creatures inside itself at a time.

As an action, a creature within 5 feet of the cube can pull a creature or an object out of the cube by succeeding on a DC 12 Strength (Athletics) check, and the puller takes 10 (3d6) Acid damage.

OOC: The joke is on the ooze, because I just got that spell slot back and…

oh… oh dear. 

Well, since I couldn’t cast VW on the previous round, I instead did an Athletics Check for 4. So still take the 16 acid damage.

The Wiz’s skin turns to taffy and he begins to look like Paul McCrane’s Emil at the end of Robocop (1987, spoilers, the movie is extremely relevant to today and be advised, the movie contains extremely graphic 80s deaths). He tries to moan for help but since he is fully engulfed, his words never leave his mouth. He tries to breakdance free doing that upside down head spinning move, but EEEK! Trying to position himself upside down to perform the headspin takes up a worryingly large amount of time and he only manages an 11 on this turn’s Athletics Check. 

The Wiz begins to see a light. It seems distant, but also very reachable within the next 6 seconds. 

Ember thought he was figuring out what he had to do to stop these 'trap creatures' when he watches as The Wiz poofed out of the water and .... into a gelatinous cube!

In a frenzy of thoughts and emotions, Ember went through all he COULD do but felt like most of his skills and spells would not work fast enough to save The Wiz.  Coming to a decision,  Ember flew as close as he felt was 'safe' (within 20-25 ft of the cube?)...  

Reaching into his bag of holding, Ember pulled out a dry branch and immediately breaks the branch in half.   Instead of splintering, the branch ignites with a controlled, beautiful emerald-green flame.  The fire leaps from the wood, landing within 5 feet of the cube and the engulfed Wiz. 

In the past, Ember has called forth his wildfire spirit and it had appeared as a firefox... but this time, the fire transforms into a humanoid figure made of scorched oak and flaming vines.  The wildfire spirit steps forward, it's gnarled, flaming limbs ready to burn or save according to Ember's will as the scent of pine smoke, the sound of crackling wood, and a intense, sudden heat spread out from the burning figure.

Summon Wildfire Spirit   (action)

 9 pts fire damage

Ember then commands his wildfire spirit, "Spirit of my spirit, save The Wiz!"   Triggering the wildfire spirit to use it's special ability...

Fiery Teleportation

 8 pt fire damage

The fiery stick figure appears and damages things around it including The Wiz.

In a burst of fire, it takes itself, The Wiz, and the Cube and *BAMFs* right above the sea lion tank! *SPLOOSH*!

The cube, joyous that it is free of its prison, forcefully ejects The Wiz into the water and it begins to chase (HA! Spd 15) the sea lions.

Grey yells out "No reason to get close to them if they are all contained within there individual layers! Let my Guardians eat away at them!"

He will dodge as an action and try and move to maximize his spirit guardians, assuming he won't take any opportunity attacks.

Spirit Guardians: DC 16 WIS or 13 dmg.

Seeing as The Wiz is probably very nearly dead, Alexia is going to use a bonus action to speak a healing word, healing him for 5 hp. She then is going to fly up to above the sea lion tank and attempt once again to lightning lure in a crayfish and gift it to the lions.
