Thank you to everyone who created a character! All of your submissions were fantastic. Unfortunately, I can only select six of you for this game. I'm closing this thread tonight and will DM the players selected by Friday night.
Good gaming everyone and maybe we'll see you in the next one.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
9/1/2025 Update: I am recruiting some fresh blood for this campaign. If you are interested in joining and have already created a character in this space, let me know. New character submissions are welcome as well. I'm looking for two more players to round out out my existing party of adventurers. I will give preference to players who are not currently recruited into a PBP already. You will start at level 4. Let me know if you have any questions.
Appearance: Short, dark brown hair, tan skin, brown eyes, 6'1".
Alignment: Neutral Good
Personality Traits (2): Fenric is confident in his knowledge of the woods and abilities to track and survive in nature. He judges people by their actions, not their words.
Ideal: Sincerity. Fenric is true to who he is, and does not try to pretend to be what he is not.
Bond: Fenric is bound to the forest he was raised in, and would die protecting it.
Flaw: Fenric is overly critical of himself, and afraid of falling short of the expectations he puts on himself.
Backstory: Fenric was born and raised in a druid grove. As such, it was expected that one day the powers of nature would be imbued within him, and he would become a druid too. But that day never came. For years, he lived in the grove, developing his relationship with nature and listening to all it had to offer. Eventually, he came of the age at which any non-druid was to be removed from the grove. However, the leader at the time saw the work he put in and how knowledgeable he was about nature, and decided to let him stay. He adopted the role of protector of the grove, fending off goblins and the like. A few years later, the leader of the grove died, and the new druid in charge was critical of Fenric's extended residency at the grove. He was forced to leave, and he made his way to the town of Phandalin in search of a new home.
The adventuring party currently has a warrior, cleric, ranger, and rogue. However, I don't mind having duplicates in the party. Thanks for asking. If you would like to check out the current thread, you can find it here.

Still be happy to join with char I put forth when this first opened here but I am currently in a PBP already and you'll likely find people who aren't so *shrug*

In that case, I'll reprise my original gnome entry from here. Though as I too am currently in another PbP, I fully embrace the "runner up" role~
