Sky pats Morgan on the shoulder in a friendly way, as if offering comfort. "Your bat was a very nice ... thing of darkness and we shall miss him."
A pause. "Was his name Batsy?"
"I always told him: next time you do something useful, I’ll give you a name."
He pauses for a moment.
"That… never really happened."
OOC: @DM: Prolix gave us a few (possibly magical) items. Would it be possible to examine or identify them during a long rest? Morgan is especially interested in the gold-trimmed goggles.
Ylis doesn't want to butt into the conversation but you hear her softly say, "We're the good guys, they're the bad guys. We keep us together, and take them apart. Seems simple to me."

DM: You can learn its properties and how to use it without the Identify spell, but no more details than that. You do have access to some magical sorts here in the city who might be able to help if you lack the spell, but I will just assume the examination on the rest.
The gold-trimmed goggles (styled however you wish), can help people see better, both things nearby and those far away. It doesn't require any special activation to use; wearing it is enough. However, it does require spiritually anchoring yourself to it (attunement) before you can benefit from them.
[Frekor] "You want to know where it leaves you? It leaves you with the time to make things right. You talk about yourself as someone who made mistakes in the past and regret them deeply, that regret is enough to incite change. No matter how little time we have left in this world, even if we only have one second, you can make a choice to be better." says in a calming, almost fatherly, voice. He pauses for a moment to let his words sink in Nivi's mind and heart.
"Sure, it might be hard to change the way you act because you fear the idea that "you can't actually change" and the uncertainty of what your actions may bring. But as long as you try, that is enough." continues in more of a laid back tone, with his glance switching back and forth on her and directly ahead. "And if you find it REALLY hard to change, but you still want to, asking for help is always a good option, and I'm here if you ever want to ask for my help." adds looking at Nivi with a fiendly smile before gently patting her on the back and getting up.
"I'll leave you to it. Say hi to Shiv for me." says before walking away.
Nivi listens to Frekor, her pale green eyes friendly and companionable, yet otherwise expressionless, neither affirming nor rejecting his words.
Randa watched the interactions between the others with a slight smile, she beamed at Ylis as she sighed at the number of arrows she'd lost yesterday.....then caught herself....your still thinking this thing was like Rainmaker.....she looked down at the strange almost..alive....bow in her hands, " Where do they come from?", she whispered quietly to the weapon.
She was utterly terrified for Ayo and the other kids but she knew others in the group had other priorities and she knew what terrible things happened when she insisted on following her own desires.
Again she held the necklace around her neck feeling the weight of the burden she had taken on.....yet still not fully understanding what it meant. Sighing she got to her feet and went to each of the others in turn making sure they were ready to move out once Nivi had completed her ritual.

OOC: If nobody else has a claim on them, Morgan would like to try (and attune to) the goggles. He's hoping they might provide the darkvision he sorely lacks as human.
For flavor, he'd tie them to his top hat (a bit like in my profile picture)
Frekor can see that Ayo and her crew had never entered the home that your parties were lent. Frekor also remembers that Ayo and her crew took Randa’s subtle queue to explore the city and departed at the house, before anyone entered. That means they know where it is. Aside from some scant signs of that parting just two days ago now, there is nothing, not so much as a stray hair, that they ever came back.
Ylis isn’t quite on the button as Frekor is but she would know Ayo’s beach-like scent anywhere and it isn’t in this house.
Randa can feel Kor’s bow respond to her question. Not so much with a direct reply, and not so much with a consciousness per se. Instead, it is a feeling. An emotion pushed into her somehow. The bow is content with its new owner and seeks to grow.
Morgan easily attunes to them. They readily resize to fit the hat. Magically they are fixed to the hat and will not fall off, but Morgan can sense that when needed, they will slide over the brim effortlessly.
DM: It is morning and the party should remember that Foghome did ask for evening meditations, but nothing is stopping you from being pushy if the party feels like it. Other than that offered option, what would the party like to do? I plan to skip shopping for brevity unless someone actually wants to RP it. Haggling will be handled with rolls. However, if anyone does want to RP the shopping spree, I am always happy to provide. This is a party-led adventure (a note for the newbies).
Ylis remembers somebody mentioning that they should look for the Ioun U magic shop.
Enchanting the plants takes 8 hours so Foghome might be understanding if Ylis wants to start around lunch time then end with meditation.
Enrichment. (8 hours) All plants in a half-mile radius centered on a point within range become enriched for 365 days. The plants yield twice the normal amount of food when harvested. They can benefit from only one Plant Growth per year.

"You're the good guys, they're the bad guys. Keep together, and we take them apart," Nivi repeats softly, nodding at Ylis and changing only a few words.
Later...
Other than replenishing her caltrops with one of her two remaining gold pieces when passing a suitable equipment merchant (or underground fence for thieves' gear), Nivi remains subdued, unsure of what the others' next priority will be, and never having heard of Foghome.
Shiv now perches on her shoulder once more, equally taciturn.
The only question she ventures is: "We planning to check in on the Taskhand? Let him in on what's up with your other pals and Aloysia?"
Morgan nods, then shakes his head, unconvinced. "I'd say: Taskhand. Foghome. Then Ayo."
He thinks about it for a moment, frowning. "I'd even suggest we split up between the Taskhand and Foghome to save time. I may be wrong, but like it or not, both Ayo and Aloysia will eventually lead us to Betrayers' Rise."
He taps a finger against the brim of his hat. "If we can get there with a better understanding of the jewel... and of what we're walking into... I think we'll be in a much better position when the time comes."
Then Morgan quickly fills Nivi in on Foghome. "Friendly firbolg. Gardener, farmer... servant of the Wild Mother." He counts the points on his fingers. "We met him in that spiral-shaped temple. And, most importantly, he might help us better understand the jewel we're carrying. A jewel with more than a faint connection to Betrayers' Rise and whatever is happening here..."
Morgan pauses, searching for the right words. "Foghome has..." He points a finger toward the sky. "...connections."
" But isn't Foghome tonight and the Taskhand essentially now?", Randa said confused, then she waved her hand. " Whatever, I'll go where I'm told. Lets move."
