Then he looks at Sky. "Are you coming with us? Do you have a place to stay? We could take this little night stroll as a chance to get to know each other better. Tomorrow, we're going to put our lives in each other's hands."
"Sure, I'll come with you. I don't know if I can do anything to help you with your other tasks, but I can try." Sky shrugs a big shoulder, and his aquamarine cape flutters. "For what it's worth, I don't think this is a hot pursuit situation: these beings that you appear to have stumbled upon, and the cultists that are apparently using the sewers here, are operating with impunity. Right now, they think they're unstoppable -- to be fair, no one's raised a concerted effort to rout them, not yet. If we take longer than they expect us to -- to, to meet them on their chosen battlefield, I mean -- they might get complacent." Another shrug. "I think you should rest as long as you need, tonight."
"Which of you is usually facing your foes on the front lines?" Sky holds up a shield and a morningstar in his hand, but you notice a halberd and a shortbow on his back as well. "I can assist that person."

Morgan walks beside Sky and whispers, "If you thought she was adorable because she looks like a white bunny girl... well, welcome to the harsh reality."
He smiles warmly. "But yeah... no. Don’t count on me on the front line either. I tend to get stunned, paralyzed, or whatever else makes me useless for the rest of the fight."
He shrugs lightly. "They’ll probably love having you there, though." He points at Randa and Frekor with a wink, then drifts away.
With a flourish, he puts his top hat back on, hiding the bat perched on his head, and walks ahead in direction of the Wall of the Unforgotten.
(OOC: I did a Insight check before to know if Ylis was upset when she suggested to go and finish the other thins we said we would or she just gave the ideas without much care).
Frekor looks at Sky with a smile.

I don't know how Erik runs it but in my games you can't/shouldn't use skills on another PC. We're all people, if you got questions, just ask in character or in the private chat. If we want to be honest, we'll be honest. If we want to lie we'll lie. However, I would appreciate a little headsup in the game thread or private chat if a character is bullshitting. I can RP that. I just really hate outright backstabbery.
Taskhand Thelyss listens to Frekor pass him vital information about Aloysia. Thelyss nods once in understanding and pats Frekor on the shoulder reassuringly and whispers back. “She was under house arrest for attempting the same. You will have more opportunities.” He raises his voice so anyone can hear. “Going into Betrayers Rise is restricted for the safety of the fools who would enter. It isn’t outright banned. We let expedition forces go in with a squad of defenders. In fact, we let a team of the Cobalt Soul in just the other day. They have not returned. I am sure you know the reputation of the Cobalt Soul."
Thelyss looks doubtful of the methane/fireball idea. “We… can probably have someone assist you with a massage. I will see if any of the civilians are willing to volunteer for that task. I will have drink sent to your guest house.”
When Ylis mentions the orc guard, Taskhand Thelyss smiles, reaches into the ranks, without looking, and pulls the orc out from the two dozen virtually identical soldiers in heavily used armor. “Yes, Lieutenant Nokk. Because of all your hard work in finding this door, you are officially promoted to Captain. Congratulations.” He nods to Ylis knowingly, silently asking Ylis not to push the issue with his eyes.
Nokk nods dumbly at Thelyss and moves from his place in the middle to somewhere closer to the front, eyes glassy with shock.
“I can’t give you a pass to all restricted areas if that is where your… adventures take you. But I can let my people know you are on special business for me and to allow you access to all level 1 restricted areas and below. This gives you a bit more freedom to chase certain someone’s where they may go, but also keeps you out of places I don’t want you.” Taskhand Thelyss’ voice is firm on this offer and does not give any indication that it is up for discussion.
“Items of a magical nature are extremely hard to part with. We are under constant assault and things like magical earmuffs to block out gibbering mouthers’ mind-bending effects are impossible to part with, and I am sorry to say that you know from personal experience why we can’t part with anything we have.” Thelyss says to Morgan. More quietly, he adds, “The healing potions are already an incredible bargain for your services here. I am going to pay, but someone here will pay for that later. I really can’t part with more.”
DM: I am pretty flexible when it comes to PC on PC Checks. If everyone is on board, then it’s fine. If people would prefer to just do OOC Q&A, that works for me as well. Some might see it as metagaming to do the OOC, but I don't see metagaming as a big deal for PBPs because you guys are playing the game you want to play. I do see the value and fun in both options, though the OOC Q&A is unquestionably faster to work out in a PBP. Since it seems like Wysp prefer just the OOC route, let’s do that. I will say though, that Frekor got a rock solid Insight and had it been left to a Check, he surely would have felt sure about whatever he observed. :P

With a new member of the group, the Fellowship bids farewell to Taskhand Thelyss and the new Captain Nokk, who offers a curt nod as they leave. The market is right next to the Wall of the Unforgotten and the walk takes less than 5 minutes at this now extremely late hour. Nary a soul in the street except the patrols. As the party walks the street, they see a stretch of stone wall on their left. It is carved with names and wreathed in dried flowers, silver necklaces, and ropes weighted with good-luck charms. The ground near the wall is cluttered with trinkets left there as offerings.
A drow of the Aurora Watch prays near a corner of the wall. He wears Kryn Dynasty sleeveless tunic of a fine fabric with a deep plunging neckline that exposes him down to his bellybutton. He wears short leggings and the left pant leg is rolled up to the knee, where his extremely intricate prosthetic leg can be seen. It is carved from chitinous black rock and ringed with bands of pale purple light. His exposed arms existing leg, chest, and face are covered in deep, ragged scars, which have marred a face of typical elven beauty.
As the party approaches the main body of collected items, the drow rises. “Be respectful. They’ve earned their rest, and they deserve to have that rest honored.” He says flatly. He regards you as one without patience might regard a mischievous child.
As the party approaches the main body of collected items, the drow rises. “Be respectful. They’ve earned their rest, and they deserve to have that rest honored.” He says flatly. He regards you as one without patience might regard a mischievous child.
Sky pulls a simple silver amulet, fashioned in the shape of his holy symbol, from where it was resting beneath his armor. He holds it up and closes his eyes, bowing his head slightly, as he squats down a more-than-respectable distance from the door engraved with the names of the honored dead.
"Lord Ilmater, please help the people of this city liberate themselves from their troubles. If I can, let me be an implement to help them ease their strife. You are always benevolent and watch over those who have fallen for their causes. I am sure you will watch over these former guards as you do others. I thank you for it."
Sky's voice is more sonorous than normal as he intones his solemn prayer, but it's said loudly enough that everyone can hear it. He is very still as he speaks, and he remains momentarily, still squatting, eyes closed.
Morgan rummages in his pockets and pulls out the small tiger’s eye carving of a rabbit he was given by the wounded member of the Aurora Watch in the infirmary.
Not knowing what else to do or say, and being no man of faith, he leaves the prayers to his companions. He simply reads the name carved into the base of the stone, aloud and steady.
"Naevyn Tasithar... may neither you nor your sacrifice be forgotten."
He places the carving against the wall, nods and walks away.
-My mind and my heart will remember you.- said aloud, but more to himself than anyone, while touching his forehead with his index and middle fingers of his right hand before making a fist and pounding his chest slightly once. He kept his hand there for a moment in silence.
-May the gods gide you to a pleasant afterlife.- added before kissing the same fingers he touched his forehead before and lifted them slightly to the sky. He then took a step back and remained in silence giving the rest of the Fellowship their time to give their prayers.
The drow nods an approving nod at Sky’s prayer, but his body language is still wary. He softens barely when Ylis sits near the wall along with Sky. It is when Morgan places the carving of the rabbit at the base along with all the other trinkets that his knitted brow slackens and his face takes on a fully welcoming expression.
“You are placing memorial for a soldier?” He says, stopping Morgan as he leaves. “Thank you for allowing our soldier to have a memorial. Naevyn Tasithar…” He seems to be committing the name to memory. “When a soldier is not sure that they will walk among the living long, and don’t have any friends here yet, either because they lost them already or because they are new arrivals, they place a keepsake here. It is really the only way they can be remembered.”
The man watches Randa kiss the stone and place it along the wall and his chest swells with gratitude. “Thank you. For Turk.”
With Frekor’s prayer, the drow joins him to regard all the hundreds of tokens along the wall. “So much lost possibility here,” the drow says with a voice stricken with grief. He then kneels down and begins a prayer of his own.
After a minute, he stands again. He motions to Frekor with a touch of his forehead, then gestures to Frekor to indicate that he will touch Frekor’s forehead as well. If Frekor allows it, the drow reaches out and repeats the salute but on Frekor instead of himself.
As he touches Frekor’s forehead, a brilliant flash of silver light bursts from the contact. He then repeats it for each of the heroes standing here, each receiving a brilliant flash of light themselves. They can feel something incredible permeate through their body. The sense that you can alter time and space exists now within you all.
DM: Each member of the party can reroll one d20 of their choice within the next 24 in-game hours.
“A mote of possibility. For helping one of our brave soldiers and honoring those lost, you have been granted a chance to rewrite a small moment in time. The First Radiance has saw fit to bless you all, praise be to the Luxon.”
He bows to the party respectfully, then returns to his prayers.
Ylis bows serenely and backs away slowly. She turns and tries to search the skyline for the twisted temple roof. There is a bunny squint as she calls up a mental map of the town and which way they should go.

He bows to the party respectfully, then returns to his prayers.

Ylis bows serenely and backs away slowly. She turns and tries to search the skyline for the twisted temple roof. There is a bunny squint as she calls up a mental map of the town and which way they should go.
