A huge mouthful of porridge combines with Barn's habitual stutter to render his compliment of Smiling Jack's morning music nearly unintelligible. But his knee bounces as he thumps his foot on the floor of the Horned Man to the rhythm (not very well).
He glances at the newcomer and... new member of their ragtag troop? "G... Galaren? I'm Barn. I... I d-don't know who ah... Elfaron? Alfaron? I'm not thure wh-who they are but if they inthpire you to h-help, then you are w-welcome to come with uth!"
After he finally finishes chewing and swallows, he turns to Clotha as she speaks, grinning subconsciously at the young lady'sevident upbeat mood. He had been worried about her fitting back into town. It was good to see her like this.
"I think first w-we should go b-back to the clearing with the b-burial mounds and the little p-pond where I s-sensed all the death in the w-water, but a link to s-something good from the b-bigger mound? I promised the old m-man's spirit that w-we would go back there and help h-him."
Clearly, Barn intends to keep that promise, but his brow furrows. "That's where I th-think WE should g-go first. Y-you're staying h-here, r-right Clotha?"
Reg continued to drink what liquid was brought with the porridge be it a weak tea or simple water. He acknowledged S Jack’s playing, “It all sounds good to me. Learned the pan flute myself when I was younger. But the pipes were lost sometime ago and I’ve not been able to find proper reeds to construct a similar one. Or else I’d give you a new tune to work on.”
The man’s face turned and there was the slightest smile at Galaren with the mention of Elvaron. To himself he thought he could get along with this one, or at least gather more material for his study of the wizard from him. But for now he silently remarked to the new comer, “That so?”
He quickly shot a question to Clotha as she asked what the group had planned next, “Ah, my dear. I’m in need of what some might call a ‘healer’s kit’. Any chance there might be the likes around here to secure such?”
Lastly, to Barn. “Yes, my fine friend. A promise unkept is a debt owed. And a danger until repaid. The glade has several things to consider. It also helps that the mystical hand we may need for Fabian’s tower is there. My bag is ready as soon as everyone else is as well. By your lead.”
Ardwynn comes in late for breaking her fast. She stops beside Barn and gives him a quick half shoulder bump, "I did not say it yesterday, but you were amazing. You make us all proud."
Then, moving on to an empty spot she attacks her porridge with energy as she listens to the chatter about her.

Smiling Jack enters the horned man and scans the tables. Seeing Reg he heads toward him sitting at the same table, ordering the same as Reg.
Before a bowl is dropped before him, he looks at Reg and says, "I noticed I can play this flute, can you tell me if I am making noise or a song?"
Jack plays a few notes then looks for confirmation or denial.

Clotha clapped happily at Smiling Jacks tune.
" SO! Whats the plan for today?"
Smiling Jack was oblivious to Clotha's clapping. Jack stopped looked a Reg for approval and validation.
Hearing Clotha's question, Jack smiles/smirks and looks to Reg, "so what is the plan for today? ...hmmm?"
As Galaren awakes, he feels inspired by the sight of the crystal and the beginning of a quest he has been hoping for.
"I have been inspired by Elvaron himself. I will act in his name. "
"I cast Fireball."
"Are you sure you want to do that?"
"I cast Fireball."
"It's a 15 by 15 room."
"I said I cast Fireball."
"Soundth pretty g-good! Nithe t-tune, Jack."

Clotha raised an eyebrow at Barn, " Oh, very much so."
" Your not getting me back in Gallows Wood any time soon."
Jack sniffs at the porridge then pokes his finger in it. Giving the finger a lick he ponders the food.
Huh. Fancy folk know how to make food but don't know how to make beds.
Jack grips the bowl with both hands and slurps up the food. His enthusiasm is a signal of thanks.

Smiling Jack beams with joy that he somehow did learn to play. He digs into his porridge.
