If the guards are distracted he'll whisper to the other members.

"They'll be watching us, I suggest we leave town separately, then meet up and set an ambush for the group that inevitably come after us when this blackwood fellow finds out, unless of course he's a complete fool,  After that we can find a way back in. Seva probably could help us with that"

Seeing the dog run off and catching the meaning of it, he'll follow the parties lead of any attack the guards.

OOC Though Tristan says this as if it's the plan, he's always open to other plans,  especially since his last plan fell flat on it's face.

Also how big is the town, is it big enough that a group our size would be able to feasibly hide in here?

Lazarus: (to Tristan [in a whisper]) "Do you think we'll be able to get back inside once we leave the town? the plan is sound if we can manage that."

As the group first leaves the tavern, Seva turns to Neona.

”I’ll live,” she says in answer to the paladin’s quesiton. “I’m glad you all stepped in. Thanks for the help.”

Therion, you can’t seem to find a good moment to kill the unconscious Big Man. The rest of the guards stay and wait for you all to leave with the escort.

When the dog takes off, followed by Neona, the guards yell angry halts after her. You all know what she’s up to. Then, Elery follows Neona.

“Get your bloody carcasses back here!” one of the guards yells. He and one other take off after Neona and Elery.

Khinsrra, Lazarus, Thadrith, Therion, and Tristan are all left with the other two guards. All of you stand in the street having walked a ways from The Old Hag.

“You all stay here,” one of the guards says. “Don’t move.”

As soon as Neona thinks that the guards following her are out of sight of the others, she whirls about, longsword and shield at the ready. 

If she gets a surprise round, she draws her longsword from across her shoulder in a downward arc towards blackwood soldier who is closest to her, whistling for Luna to come to heel at the same time. 

Attack : 12 Damage : 3

Huh... really thought it would work that time.

Either way it looks as though her attack was not very effective, but she smiles up at the guard as she speaks raising her shield in preparation for what is to come. 

Elery immediately get anxious as she sees Neona deciding to attack. She whispers to her, trying to solve the situation. "What are you doing? We'll just get in a lot more trouble if you decide to attack them that way, we're two against two, and I'm no fighter..." Still in her anxious state, now worried that the guards might counter-attack, Elery tries to disengage and walk further down the alley, until she's about 15 feet away from them.

(My objective here is to make the only way for them to reach her be by getting an attack of opportunity from Neona, I just don't know very well how to describe that in character, although, technically, they don't have any reasons to be focusing on Elery in the first place.)

Evening the odds. By the looks of them, these boys are no fighters either.

Neona smirks at Elery from behind her shield, chuckling.

Down the alley:
Neona, your sword glances off the guard’s chain shirt. He is unscathed, but surprised. He draws his own sword.

Elery, you push further into the alley, separated yourself from Neona. The guards will have to move past her to get to you.

Both of you roll initiative, please.

Back on the street:
Khinsrra, Lazarus, Thadrith, Therion, and Tristan, you all stand with the other two guards who are getting visibly anxious.

What are you all doing?

The tabaxi looks to the others not really knowing what's happening and what to do. 

"What took them so long?" he asks the others in a whisper

Lazarus: (to the party on the street [in a whisper]) "Not sure, i wasn't expecting them to run off like that, we need a plan before we run out of time."

Elery Initiative: 6

(Btw, I'm so not in favor of my current situation... But that's what it is...)

As the other two guards run off chasing the dog and the other prisoners, Therion will draw his scimitar. "Now fellas, I think you can clearly see you are out numbered. Would you like to be able to live another day some where on a beach... or die here trying to be brave..."

Intimidation: 22

The tabaxi opens his eyes and point to Therion sword, whispering to Lazarus 

"Well that's something... "

Lazarus: (to the tabaxi [in a whisper]) "Does everyone in this town enjoy violence and blood shed? i don't shy away from a fight but i know the value of restraint."

"Violence only brings more violence" nods in agreement the monk "as we just saw inside the tavern, now all that they had to do is scream and we all are dead..." 

Tristan

"Doesn't seem like the time or the place for this, it's too open, and the numbers are not on our side." Tristan sighs "But I would suggest you do as he says." Tristan tells the guards "It would be a shame for this to end in bloodshed."

Neona Initiative : 13

Down the alley:
(No need to apologize! I’m sure you’ll find a way out.)

Neona, the guard in front of you brings down an overhand swing of his longsword, but you side-step the blade at the last moment.

The second guard tries to move past you to get to Elery, which gives you an opportunity, attack, Neona. If you’d like to take it.

Back on the street:
Therion, both guards take their hands off their sword hilts. The one who’s been doing all the talking shakes his head.

“Not going to lose my head over you rabble,” the guard says. “What now then? Kills us in the streets? You lot aren’t getting out of this town alive. I hope you know that. Better decide quick.”

Neona sees the second guard trying to move past her to get to her new and apparently reluctant comrade and sweeps her longsword towards the joint in the armor by the guard's knee. 

Attack of Opportunity : 13 Damage : 6

 She (presumably) bashes her blade against his greave causing a surge of pain in his shin as she turns the blade upward and goes for a killing blow. 

Attack (during regular turn) : 8 Damage : 8

Still nimble with a bruised shin eh? We'll cure you of that soon enough, won't we friend?

She says trying to get the guards both to engage her. Luna is growling and barking in the background, agitating things further. Neona will try to intercede or block the guards' path if they try to get past.

"What if you say you walked us out the town and we call it a day? Probably you are right, and we do not get of here alive, but neither you if you don't let us leave now. And I guess that it's in your best interest to lie about it. I guess that the discipline methods of your employeer aren't pleaseant... "
