I'm only doing this because it seems to work, and I really want this to continue.

DM, when are we going to continue this game?

(I bet they'll come just today and send a message appologizing and saying they'll get a post by the end of the night, after that, we'll respond to it, and then go into more one of those huge delays, and the cycle continues.)

thats usually how it goes. how are your other games going? 

my other games are mostly at least post once a day, a few get delays but not as bad as this one.

as i may have mentioned before im still world building the world i plan on dming some time in the future. hopefully in games i dm there won't be any delays cause i'd be able to post at least once a day.

This is by far my slowest game, I have one other that comes to this one post a day thing, while the others can keep an even higher frequency than that.

Heck, those other three can set a record too fast for myself to follow sometimes, and I end up going to the back and reading everything again before I can make my post.

Elery is the only character that I'm playing right now that started at level 1 and is still at level 1. 

wow, that sounds really nice. i have more than one level 1 character but thats only because in one of my games my dm thought it would be interesting to start at level 0, but other than that yeah lazarus is my only level 1 character. and a few of my characters had to join other games for one reason or another. (like a dm leaving or too many players leaving so the dm closed the game, etc) and those characters/games still manage to make more progress than this one. there was a time where this game was my favorite, i really liked the background for our characters and what little interactions our characters had.

2 of my older games closed because the DM disappeared, and 2 other closed after the DM gave a warning that they would have to close it, otherwise all my other games are still running.

I completely share the feeling of this one as an once favorite game. It's for me, the only one that we actually built what the background of the party is, most of my other games started in the group's first meeting, so no party background there, and the one game that did start with a party that already knew each other had no actual build to it, we just assumed the party knew each other and went from there. But I think it's plenty of fun to create the background the way we did here, I just wanted to see it grow with the story, which sadly is going at a dramatically slow pace.

well we could always try to find another dm, i don't like abandoning this one, but at this rate this game will never progress.

Again with that plan? Last time everyone said it'd be a plan B circunstance, after we chose to wait, I'll have the same stance as before, and hopefully everyone has the same...

Waiting is always better, but in case that doesn't work, sure, even a new DM would sit us just fine if things become desperate, but I think there still is hope.

Of course, I hope so too... But even if that was not the case, that wouldn't stop me from continuing it myself.

 Ok, at the start I wasn't worried, but when I noticed that literally no one but we two were talking for the last week it started to fell on me, that it's completely possible the others may have given up on this already, or gone to do something else, which does worry me quite a bit... And the lack of response from the DM makes it even worse...

Elery is my oldest character here on D&D still active, forcing her to go down under these circunstances would be terrible, I just really want to hear something from someone else to calm my nerves a bit.

Oh, just to be clear about it, we're officially down one more player, Myra had to leave us...

Fun thing, we started with two clerics, two sorcerers and two rogues, also two humans and two halflings, and we now have no repetitions... Haha, funny isn't it?

It kinda isn't, though... Most of those players left because the game was running slow, I was just trying to make some self-deprecating humor due to our not-so-great situation.

Still, great hearing from you guys... Sorry about not saying that earlier, now we just need the DM to come back, and we're fine.

we had a big party, a smaller one is easier to keep track of.
