1. Can we see another sewer entrance that is not as conspicuous? Tangle would like to try to pick up the trail from this one, so one not too far away would be best.
2. How far away is the statue with the offering? Visible? A couple blocks away? All the way across town?
3. Are we attracting attention? Perception (+3): 8

A low groan issues from Perry after Wolf Pup speaks; he owes these people for vouching for him. He will help Wolf Pup find his monster. It's probably the right thing to do anyway. Especially because he'll be tracking down the missing cart while he's at it. Perry is just bitter about getting arrested and he is wise enough to recognise that. It doesn't make him feel better though.

1. Walking around you can find a sewer entrance a few blocks away from this one.
2. The statue and the offering are in the center of town. Not currently visible to you and the group. So a little less then half way from where you are standing.
3. Well, you generally just look like a strange group of people to be standing in a group on the road, no one but one or two guards seems to have really taken note of your presence though.
OOC: Poor Perry he's just not been very lucky this day.
“I would suggest that we do not break into the sewers with so many eyes on us. However, the other entrance may not lead to the same place as this one. Therefore, a distraction may be necessary.”

"But perhaps not a magical distraction," Tangle smiles. She prepares to enter the sewer when a suitable distraction is available.
OOC > Perhaps a stealth roll is advisable to slip into the sewer unnoticed, during said distraction? I'm just banking a roll so Shy doesn't have to wait for me. If the distraction goes awry, and we change plans, you can ignore this. Stealth: 9
OOC > Ouch. Yeah, let's do something else! :) Sigh. So if we do go in, she's not particularly stealthy about it. Let's hope the distraction is a good one. Or maybe she can have advantage on the Stealth roll for the distraction? (Making begging eyes at Shy)
"You know Perry, I think you might be onto something. I'm certain in a city this big, we can find someone who would be willing to provide us with a window of time. Alternately, if you would be willing to go on without me, I could try to keep the guards occupied for a spell. Not an actual spell, of course. Spell meaning time. Common can be a strange language."
“Footbag? That could work too.” Wolf Pup shakes his head, “What are we saying. There are easier ways of distraction than children kicking people. Perhaps bees... No, no, we don't wish to kill people. Perhaps a performance?”

"I could put on something of a show, if that is what you all think is best. Can't use all my best tools, but it will probably be enough to get them away from you for a little while. Is that what you wish?"
Shuffling awkwardly, Barb starts to blush out of anxiety before she even speaks, "I can provide a distraction... I must visit Olivia and I wish to see the fireworks this evening. I will ask the next group of guards for directions or an escort to The Mermaid's Tears. See ya later?
Barbara travels wigth the group for a short while, hoping to provide a distraction but also really wanting to tell Olivia that their deal was done.
Tangle says, “At least do your standing around between this door and the guards. All you great big hulking sorts should provide enough of a screen.” She indicates Wolf Pup, Perry, and Barbara should block the guards view of her. Then her plan is to open it and drop in, closing it behind her.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC > If this plan goes forward...
Tangle will allow a moment for her eyes to adjust, then she will examine her surroundings, and given no obvious clues or obvious danger, she will attempt to discover and track any unusual (humanoid) passage. Survival: 21 And she will try to do so quietly. Stealth: 13
She fully expects her quarry to have used the sewers to simply move and then surface in another location. She does not expect there to be any underground hideout. FWIW.

Fenchurch walks away from the group, and towards the guards. As he nears them, his gait turns into a limp, tears his sleeve, and starts to hold his side in the manner of a man struck. He then "drags" himself before the two men, and puts on his best liar's voice.
"Thank the gods you are here. Two men accosted me, and took my lantern and my coin purse! I saw them run in that direction (points the opposite way of the entrance to the sewers)! Please help me, kind sirs."
