"Interfering with your work?" Orynn asks. "You attacked us," he says defensively. "We didn't even know you were down here. You're the one that interfered with our work. Why?"
“Careful, mortal. I seek something, just as you. The difference is, I was here first. You interrupted me. Therefore, you interfered with me. Now, if you want to help me find it and return it to my master “ - it spits this word- “so I can fulfill my contract and leave your accursed plane, we can deal.” Dekket feels it relax in his grip, as it turns visible: a tiny humanoid with leathery wings and a wicked barbed tail.
”Actually, it’s just leaving the plane I am after, master be damned. Just can’t break the contract. That’s kind of our thing.”
After some time working her way through the crowd, Cassie eventually manages to make her way upstairs where she spots Jun easily enough and makes her way over to him.
"So? What's the word on accommodations? And how is everyone else doing on this little venture so far?"
"Durnan has offered his remaining bunkroom free of charge in return for the assistance we rendered with that carriage and those two weasels. As to how the others are doing, Orynn was rather tight lipped when I asked, so I'm not sure what he found. Rue is seeing if that bard Threestrings can tell us anything."

"A contract?" Orynn lowers the dagger — but doesn't put it away — and smooths his small beard. "That does complicate things, doesn't it? What is it you were contracted to find?"
"What makes you certain he is a pirate? As for 'the loudmouth', he was up here on the balcony with me, but it's not impossible he slipped away while I was checking in on Kita."

“You’ve seen him, the mouse-man,” the creature begins. “Powerful is he, strong enough in the arcane arts to rip me from the Hells and bind me here, to find whatever the foolish gnome put in his hidey-hole. I am not released until I give it to him, or until he releases me. I dare not fail him; when you rudely interrupted me I was on my way to warn him, but I would be as pleased to see an accident befall the aged fool, even if it keeps me on your plane a while longer.”
“You saw the same mirror I did, or you wouldn’t be here. Whatever is to be found in that absent minded fool’s usual place. Had I found it, I wouldn’t be here. Now, do you want to help me, or get in my way?”
OOC: How big is this area? If Orynn wanted to get Dekket away from the devil in order to talk to him without the devil hearing, is that possible? Or is it too small to even attempt that?
"What kind of artwork did he provide?" Aerys asks Threestrings.

Dekket offers the little humanoid his forearm so they can continue speaking.

“You, of course. Whatever he wants, those faction people have also sent you to get.”

Perhaps 50’ by 80’. You could certainly try, though you have no guarantee of its effective hearing range or if it remaining in one spot.
DM and Dekket:
Orynn sighs and looks up the stairs. "We don't have much time. Let's keep looking."
