Cor looks around, but can just see trees. Well, and a pond. And a dragon corpse. And some adventurer bones that the Hag pointed out earlier.
Garth moves over to the hollow of the tree and rifles through some aged remains. Most of the stuff is too rusty or deteriorated to be of any use, but he did find a Battleaxe that was in pretty good shape, an elaborately-embroidered quiver that was in pristine condition, and an unblemished 5-foot metal pole that may have been a fancy tent post.

I like the pole. I don't want to carry it if I don't have to though.
"This pole is a great magical item. I can feel it but I don't understand what it does. We should hold on to it though." Cor says as he stares at the pole with wide eyes.
Twig looks over the items that Garth pulled out and begins to turn them over in her hands. She is immediately drawn to the pole, convinced it must be special in some way to have been carried by adventurers. She comes across a small button on the pole and immediately presses it. She goes to turn the pole over again to see what kind of effect it had, but the pole was suspended in midair and she couldn't move it no matter how hard she tried until she pressed the button again. She was very impressed with the Immovable Rod.
Next, she looked at the quiver. It was ornate and beautiful, but there didn't seem to be anything magical about it like the rod. She placed one of her arrows in it to see how it looked and was astounded. There was room for much more than the standard twenty arrows in a quiver. Probably a hundred times that! It was almost like a bag of holding! She determined that it was a very Efficient Quiver.

Twig shares everything she just learned (read the spoiler!).
Twig suddenly remembers that she still has the Decanter of Endless Water, when obviously Cor should have that because of his water magic (sorry! I just took it to play with it at the Dryad scene and then forgot that I didn’t give it back).
Twig looks to Cor and Garth “I know that you both use a crossbow, but it appears to me that those are secondary tools for you. My bow is my primary tool, so I am going to take this.” Twig said this matter of factly, as if it were the only option that could make sense.
Twig begins moving her arrows from her old quiver into the new, placing her old quiver into her pack. Twig tilts her head and squints slightly at the arrows and how much room there still was. She lifts her bow and gingerly tries to fit it into the quiver. To her delight and surprise, it fits. Laughing, Twig shows her companions. She then begins to look for longer and larger sticks, to see just how much this quiver can carry, noting that the weight seemed to disappear once the item was placed into the quiver. Twig grabs the Immovable Rod to see what portion of it will fit in the quiver, and discovers that if she chooses the right pocket, the whole thing disappears with room to spare. Twig is thoroughly impressed by this and removes the Immovable Rod, returning it to whomever was looking at it before. Twig continues to experiment with the quiver, fully distracted from the task at hand.
"Before I forget, I would much rather one of you take this necklace I have. If I go down and stabilize, no one will be available to heal me, but if one of you goes down, I can bring you back up real quick." Rad then offers up the Periapt of Wound Closure and takes a closer look at the battleaxe.
"I personally think Garth should have the necklace. He's more likely to be in a melee then me or Twig. We seem to prefer ranged combat, but that's just my opinion." Cor says as he looks over the decanter.
It's odd though, I prefer being ranged yet I keep getting up close and getting hurt maybe I need to rethink how I fight.
Twig, taking a break from experimenting with the quiver, looks back to the Crystal Tree.
“So, I’m just going to try and pry some bark off with my claws or a dagger, I guess.” Twig says to the group “Unless someone else would like to try or has some insight?”

"I think we should try Twig's idea first, I would hate to cause irreparable damage to the tree if we used the axe." Garth spoke as he walked back to the crystal tree.
"Any chance this tree could be sentient? I mean, normal trees don't glow." He studied the tree for a moment.
The tree is definitely unique in shape, color, texture, and a bunch of other physical attributes, but there was no way to tell if the tree was sentient by lookong at it, that he could see.

Considering Garth’s idea, Twig put both of her paws and then her forehead on the tree, and said in Elvish and Common and a language the others didn’t understand “We wish to take a piece of bark, and use it to help restore your forest and the rest of this land. We do not wish to do any harm to you.”
Upon hearing the words that Twig had spoken, the smaller trunks that wove together to create the enormous tree begin to shift and loosen their braids. A space opened up between two of the smaller trunks and what appeared to be a female face was visible between them. Its eyes were open and staring at the group. It began to speak in common in a soft and soothing tone that was inexplicably deep and commanding at the same time.
"You ask and do not take,
that is well for your sake.
I cannot give you some of my bark,
unless you prove you're not of the dark.
It will always shine with an inner light,
even on the darkest night.
Prove yourselves with a task,
ten new trees planted, is all I ask.
They must be placed in five rows of four,
then you may have what you implored."
The ground around the pond shook slightly and ten saplings burst through the earth in a tight cluster near the pond. They shined briefly as they grew, quicker than any tree ought to. The tree looked expectantly at the group, then.
Twig marvels at the talking tree, surprised that asking to take the bark mattered, and wondering what would have happened if she hadn’t asked. Mind already moving on, she turns to the group, “How are we to plant 10 trees in 5 rows of 4? Isn’t that 20?”
Twig finds a nearby patch of dirt and begins to draw dots for trees, and lines for rows. She starts simply with parallel rows, which doesn’t meet the criteria, and works from there, trying to find different configurations, squares and crisscrossing boxes, straight lines angled and perpendicular, and on and on. After about 10 minutes, Twig has an epiphany. “I’ve got it!” She grins triumphantly.
Twig shows her companions how if you take a basic hand-drawn star shape, and plant a tree at each vertex, you get 10 trees, in 5 rows of 4. Just what the Crystal Tree had asked for.
“So, on to transplanting, then? Anyone have a shovel? Also, Great Tree, where would you like these trees planted?”
"Um, I have Stabby over here. He's great at chopping up people, so he should be able to at least loosen the ground enough for our hands." Garth paused to pat his sword. "Plus those saplings aren't too big, so I'd only estimate a few hours if three work while one keeps watch."
"Is there any chance you have Prestidigitation ? That would make digging much easier and I know I don't have a shovel on me. I don't mind getting my hands dirty though."
