Disappointed that she isn’t purple, Twig sighs. If this is ever going away I should probably stop changing colors. She returns the apples to the bowl, careful to touch the blue one last of all.
“You might want to avoid touching the apples,” Twig grins, lifting the bowl towards Garth. Twig takes a moment to wrap the apples in her pack, using paper from the kitchen (or draperies or she’ll claw apart the divan for fabric if necessary).
“Let’s explore the rest of the house, why don’t we?” Twig (and I assume, Garth & Rad) go upstairs and go to the unexplored hallway looking for a new door to open.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The items she wraps the apples with change colors appropriately.
Rad follows Twig mechanically, almost as if he were being controlled by some being of which he is not aware. (Me!)
Twig steps into the second floor hallway and walks ten feet to the unexplored hallway before a huge gust of wind blows against her.
Strength saves against wind:
Twig: 12
Garth: 23
Rad: 9
Struggling as hard as they can, Garth is the only one who makes it to the mouth of the unexplored hallway. Rad and Twig are blown back to the top of the stairs.
Twig tells her companions that she is going to take a short rest before opening another door, that way she’ll be more prepared for whatever might be behind each door. Twig curls up in the hallway right next to the door she will open next.
After everyone is a little more rested, twig opens the first door on the left.
Twig opens the first door on the left in the branching hallway and sees shelves containing hundreds of books lining the walls in a large, twenty by thirty-foot library. A large oak desk dominates the middle of the room. The legs of the desk are carved to resemble coiled dragons. Behind it is a chair of similar design. In one corner of the library stands an assembled suit of plate mail armor clutching a sword. On the desk is a leather-bound volume and what looks to be an iron candelabra fashioned to resemble a hydra with nine heads.

Garth looks over the suit of armor with a keen eye. It was clearly a show piece, adorned with elaborate etchings and gold filagree, but it looked to be functional. If he were trying to wear the armor, however, it would be quite the feat, since he is 6'5 and finding armor that fit him would be next to impossible unless it were custom made to fit him. The sword in its gauntlets was large and sturdy, but it wasn't as sharp as one that would be used in battle. It is, however, silvered.
She doesn't know exactly why it is, but it seems to be some sort of book about magic. There are lots of symbols and diagrams and cramped notes about spells that use a vernacular with which she is unfamiliar.
The key in Twig's pocket does, indeed, unlock the drawers. In the first drawer, she finds a money pouch with 50 gp in it and a magnifying glass with a word written in elvish along the rim of the actual lens. The word says "comprehension." In the second drawer, she finds a skull with a symbol carved into its head.
"First-quarter moon." Rad grunts from behind her shoulder, seemingly having appeared there as if by magic. It was almost as if he were just an accessory to the other two adventurers at this point.

Garth stares at Twig with a shocked expression as she seems to flit around the kitchen andand changing colors.
Rad seems nonplussed as he stares into the middle distance dramatically. He ruins this effect by briefly picking his nose.

“Rad! Quit playing and catch up!” Twig calls down the hallway. Twig curls up on the floor to nap while waiting for Rad.
Rad climbs the stairs and finally manages to get to the hallway after taking a running start and keeping himself low to the ground.
The adventurers have been in the manor for about 4 hours and the toll of all their efforts is beginning to show on the exhausted companions.

Garth immediately walked to the suit of plate armor and examined it, interested to see if the wizard had for aesthetics or function.

Twig flips through the book, looking for anything that might resemble or mention the wand she found or the color-changing apples.
Twig can't see anything about the wand or the color-changing apples.

Twig opens the top drawer of the desk and finds a quill, inkwell, writing paper, and a silver dagger. The other two drawers below are locked.
