D.O.R.K shook her head slowly at the ongoing destruction. Even overlooking the fact they had the audacity to strike one of her own, this ran counter to previous attitudes regarding such wanton destruction. Nevermind their current goal being delayed as well, or what amounted to the tactician within not caring for a useful structure for future battles being taken apart on a whim.
But she knew well she was no inspiring leader or intimidating drill sergeant that could goad their others into action. Not this time, at the very least. So, she stood by waiting for a sign or signal of a change in plan. Meanwhile, Vark climbs his way into the back of the wagon to fully gear up, as well as get situated this time in case another charge is imminent.

Devin judges the response by the giant. "Was that a yes or a no?" he asks Lukian.

"I mean for all we know the local land owner has requested these guys take the bridge down. I'm not assuming anything here, I'm just trying to get us across the river."
Devin judges the response by the giant. "Was that a yes or a no?" he asks Lukian.
Insight 10
Devin cannot tell whether the giant is looking favourably on their request, will do something about it later (i.e. after the bridge is down) or not do anything at all.
Lukian stops working and takes a step back. Scowling at the giants, he says, "I'm going to give my friends the go-ahead to cross. I hope there won't be any trouble." Without looking at them, he waves the party toward the river.
As the party starts to move towards the bridge one of the Stone giants turns and lobs the bit of the bridge it has just dismantled so that it lands at the feet of Golemogote.

"I take that as an act of war." Ebonitus communicates to everyone within Brainshot, "I think it is time to attack." Then he adds to Lukian, "You may wish to distance yourself a little - or take other appropriate action." To Mambo he adds"I think these giants may need to get burnt, get ready." He then readies Spiritual hammer for when he is within range of the Giants.

Beedo is too far away to hear the communication, having stayed in hiding and kept relatively close to Lukian as possible while staying so. If he sees the elf retreat though, the talkative goblin wouldn't be far off his heels.
Vark startles at the brain voice, and while he's busily checking his ears, D.O.R.K looks down to the group. "It has long been past that time. Had Acolyte Devin had been more severely injured or slain without reprisal..."She stops, and looks to the giants. ".... I'll move on your mark." She says eventually as once more the Red Viel of her goddess is cast upon Mr. G.

How far away are the giants from Lukian? How deep is the river? How swift is the river? Is it possible for Lukian to get "between" the two so that they are both within 10 feet of him? He's going to act as soon as they throw the rock at Golem, but I need to know a few things first.
"How about we just run for it. If we all dodge and duck and weave I bet we can cross the bridge relatively unharmed." Devin suggests
"By the looks of the river, and consider the fact these giants have not completed their deconstruction within the first hour of their presumed arrival, it is too large an expanse to cross without taking severe amount of damage in the process. And having been on the direct business end of giant attacks, they are painful accurate. It would be better if they are eliminated, so that we can cross with relative carefulness when the time comes, and avoid falling into the river itself." D.O.R.K expresses. "... But, as my judgement has been distressingly flawed and untrusted as of late, I will again defer to the rest of you."

OOC: That answers all of my questions. Lukian will perform these actions in this order, and you can decide how many he gets off before combat is initiated, and he needs to start doing them in rounds instead of out of combat. As the giants currently see him as a kind of co-worker, I'm hoping I might get them all in, but that's up to you, DM.
As soon as the giant lobs the boulder at Golem, Lukian moves along the bridge so that he is standing between the two giants (SW corner of E4). He e
He turns to face the river (away from the giants) and makes a lifting motion with his palm facing the sky while speaking five or six arcane words in Elvish (spirit shroud). In response, five or six forms appear to rise out of the bridge around Lukian. The forms are almost pure white, as if they are made of light, yet they do not cast any light on anything, nor do they hurt the eyes to look at them. They are vaguely humanoid, but their limbs are indistinct and blurry, and they don't really have any features. They begin moving about the elf in haphazard directions, but staying within 10 feet of them at all times. (This is a bonus action.)
He extends Dawnbringer's glowing blade at his side so that it is aimed at the bridge. He's trying to do all of this without provoking the giants so that he can surprise them. (This is also a bonus action, so 2 and 3 would be two separate turns if in combat.)
Finally, if he's been able to do all of this prior to combat, he initiates it by turning and swinging at the giant closer to the party. (If combat begins prior, he'll still do this as his first action.)
One-handed attack with Dawnbringer: Attack: 23 Damage: 8 radiant + 3 radiant from spirit shroud, and the giants' speed is reduced by 10
Devin watches as Lukian maneuvers himself around. Certain that a fight is about to start but not wanting to alert the giants to their intentions he is ready to dodge at any moment when the fighting starts.
