Glynquinal tosses a dagger at a wolf, but the blade hits the ground instead.
The last wolf chases Herr Doktor around the tree. (bite attack: 6, damage: 8 piercing damage) It lunges to bite him again, but he twists out of the way at the last second.
Glynquinal will climb down and retrieve his thrown dagger. Then he goes over to inspect the fully frozen wolf. Seeing the effect, a broad smile crosses his face.
Ian hops down, and joins Glyn, staring at the frozen wolf. He asks: How did you....? and points at the wolf.
Herr Doktor, seeing the fallen wolf, hobbles out from behind the tree, and finds his way back to his bedroll. He lowers himself to the ground, where he nurses his wounds. He says to no one in particular: We really need to start sleeping up in the trees. Maybe then we wont get attacked in the middle of our rest!
Herr Doktor will, at some point after catching his breath, attempt to climb the tree with his bedroll and rope, and get comfy on a big limb, and lash himself to the branch so he wont fall. If anyone asks what he is doing, he merely says that he is ensuring a good night's rest.
Glynquinal to Ian, "It's something I've been working on. Halia turned out to be worthless so it took longer." Pulling out the small cut and polished diamond to show Ian. "This helps to focus the energy of the spell. Pretty effective isn't it?"
Rock, you do an extremely thorough search of the wolves carcasses, but they're wolves ... they're just meat in fur. You do find fleas and a couple ticks. If you're wanting to clean the carcasses, that would take hours, which means you won't get a long rest. The other option would be to wake up and do it in the morning and leave later rather than early.
Ian pulls Glyn aside - Glyn, where are we going? I know you have this side mission, and I agreed to help you, but without some more clear direction, I feel like we are just wandering out here. Can you give me any more details about where we are going, and why we are going there?
Even inspired, the bolt sticking out of the back of his leg causes Gruxx's aim to be a hair off, and the barbarian misses his intended target.

Ian responds to Glyn, gesturing to the wolf: "Yes, extremely effective. Well done. I think I will stick close to you during our next fight!"
Ian will post up at the bottom of the tree that HDP is attempting to sleep in. He will keep the next watch, and possibly catch HDP if he falls.
HDP, please roll a survival check to find out whether sleeping in a tree is doable.
