Glynquinal, wiping off and sheathing his daggers, will begin the process of searching the bodies, starting with the dead (Blue) goblin at his feet, the in the previous chamber with the goblin at X6. After searching the (Blue0 Goblin he will retrieve his short sword, and scimitar that were dropped when he was struck with an arrow during the encounter.
Glynquinal says to Gruxx, "I wasn't sure when I would need that healing potion Gruxx, but I'm glad I used it on you. That was an impressive strike. It likely helped the rest of us survive more easily."
Gruxx pats Glynquinal on the shoulder and leaves his hand there for a moment. Watching Glyquinal sheath his blades and begin searching the bodies lets Gruxx know the danger has passed.
”Thank you for bringing me back from death! I will not forget it. All have fought well looks like we may have a new ally. But first, I have a promise to keep.”
Gruxx will place his glaive on the ground and draw his handaxe. He will then walk over to Klarg’s severed head and will attempt to fashion a type of headpiece. Nothing fancy and really the cruder the better but based on the size of a bug bear maybe stretch it’s throat over Gruxx’s scalp like a beanie so that the head sits on top like a Daniel Boone Raccoon Hat. Please let me know what roll to make.
OOC: You all amaze me over and over. The stuff you all think of! Gruxx, since you're not skilled in any kind of crafting or art ... I guess roll a survival check? It's a skinning/taxidermy kind of thing, I guess.
Glynquinal, you pat down the small (blue) body and find 6 copper coins, a shortbow, a scimitar, a shield, 17 arrows, and one piece of dried meat (a ration). It is wear goblin-sized leather armor. On and very near the (black) goblin, you find (very soggily) 5 copper coins, a shortbow, a scimitar, a shield, a long-handled hammer, 18 arrows, and one piece of dried meat, which — miraculously — hasn't been re-hydrated. It is also wearing goblin-sized leather armor.
Rock, as it's fairly apparent that the skirmish is over (with Glynquinal and Gruxx conversing and Glynquinal patting down all the dead bodies), you take a second to look at your surroundings. This cavern is half filled with two large pools of water — one is deep and the other is very shallow, as if it was full, but has been emptied. A narrow waterfall high in the eastern wall feeds the full pool, which drains into the second pool, and out the western end of the chamber to form the stream that flows out of the cave mouth below. Low fieldstone walls serve as dams holding the water in. A wide exit with stairs (upon which the charred remains of Klarg rests) stands to the south, while two smaller passages lead west. The sound of the waterfall echoes through the cavern, making it difficult to hear.
Glynquinal will go west to the bridge leading out of the chamber Klarg was waiting for them in to inspect the body of the goblin that had been on watch there. After searching the body, Glynquinal will take up a sitting position and watch for anyone coming from the west side, occupying P5.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gruxx, you begin making some modifications to the bugbear's head in order to transform it into a hat. As you start to really get into it, though, you realize this is going to take more time and resources than you have at your disposal at the moment.
Glynquinal leaves the pool room and heads through the small passage which is the access to the bridge. Upon it lies the (first yellow) goblin. Searching this goblin, Glynquinal finds 9 copper coins, a shortbow, a scimitar, a shield, 16 arrows, and one piece of dried meat (a ration). It is also wearing goblin-sized leather armor. Just as Glynquinal is sitting down, the golden dragonborn — once again holding his lighted torch — appears on the bridge as well, coming from the passage. Rock, leaving the (second yellow) goblin you were standing beside in the pool room, and approaching the (first yellow) goblin on the bridge, you realize that smell you were curious about earlier ... is goblin.
Ian, as Glynquinal described before, sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. Looking over them, you see that most are marked with the image of a blue lion. In addition, you find a treasure chest. (We'll get to feeding the wolves in a minute. And, let's hold off on talking to Rock just yet as you're searching the southern cavern, and he's following Glynquinal to the bridge.)
Glynquinal, noticing the dragonborn approaching greets him, "Hail and well met. I'm sorry we couldn't have had you along earlier for that party." Glynquinal puts an emphasis on the word party and his mouth twists a little at the corners in a curious half smile. "It has been an interesting adventure so far for us. How has it been for you?"
Glynquinal replies, "Friends from a town a bit away from here. We were to have been delivering a wagon load of goods, but seem to have gotten sidetracked a bit. We've been trying to track down a couple of people the goblins took captive."
Taking a bit of water from one of his water skins, Glynquinal pauses.
"We haven't caught up to any of the goblins yet. I hope Ian, the other elf can pick up their tracks leading out of here."
Gruxx will try to stretch and all kinds of different angles to make Klarg's head fit on his head but he reluctantly sighs and gives up. Gruxx will walk over to the looted provisions and see if there is a sack he could use to store the head for now until they get to a town where someone could assist him with his new headpiece. Upon seeing the Blue Lion Gruxx will say to Ian, "Do you recognize this lion sigil?"
Glynquinal, having rested a for a short time will rise from his sitting position on the bridge. Seeing the rest of his party milling about in the larger chamber at the top of the chimney to see what if anything has been discovered.
Glynquinal says to Rock, "We may not have encountered all the goblins that are in these caverns. Can you keep a watch for a bit here on the path leading west?"
Without waiting for an answer, Glynquinal turns and approaches Ian.
To Ian, Glynquinal asks, "Did you find anything interesting? We need to go over this place carefully, but we need to rest as well. We could take our rest here for a bit."
Ian says “Gruxx, I don’t recognize that sigil in particular, but I know a treasure chest when I see it. Glenquenal, do you want to have a go at the lock first, or shall I?”
Glynquinal smiles broadly at his friend, "More than willing to give it a try. I wonder what might be inside." Taking a look at the chest for a minute Glynquinal inspects it for traps. If no traps are found Glynquinal will attempt to pick the lock. If any traps are found he will attempt to disarm them first before picking the lock.
Investigation 10
In case the chest is indeed locked, Glynquinal will attempt to pick the lock.

After searching tow of the bodies, Glynquinal will return to the chamber where Klarg was and give a search of the area a good effort.

Gruxx Survival: 13
OOC nice DMing
Ian will incestigate the room for anything of value, and any information pertaining to their lost friends.
6
as a gift to his wolf friends, he will toss the goblin bodies down the chute they tried to climb earlier so the wolves can enjoy a little snack.
ian then picks up his bow where he dropped it, and goes to join his friend Glenquenal as the adrenaline wears off.
he says “he, dragon man, I don’t know where you came from , but i am thankful for your help this day!”
