Squiggles's fire bolt misses the narrow tendril and burns a little crater into the ceiling instead.
Celric: "Do you think your god will save you? You think you can command spirits? I am here to inform you the god you've chosen fiend is weak and I shall squash his severant with the ease of a grape betwix my finger and thumb!"
Celric then raises his warhammer and golden translucent dragon spirits erupt from it and swirl around Celric.
"...hm." Celric smirks, "Two can play this game!" Celric keeps his hammer in the air and as he lowers it to his side once again, a spiritual hammer stays in its place -- it zooms across and behind Kuo Toa and attacks.
The hammer strikes the kuo-toa soundly on its fishy head (10 damage. Note: To get 2d8 from spiritual weapon, you need to cast it at 4th level, but you can't cast 2 4th level spells in a single turn: we're using the Critical Role house rule that allows 2 spells in a turn but one must be 2nd level or below. I'm going to assume for now it was cast at 2nd level and use the first d8 for the damage, but let me know if you would have done something else instead).

Balian:
Unnoticed due to the spells bouncing round the chamber, Balian nocks an arrow and releases it in the direction of the drider, before silently making his way to the eastern side of the chamber.
Attack: 25
Damage: 23
Stealth: 23
"Well Squiggles, it's getting very colourful in there...won't you come and join the party?", the half-elf says as he passes in front of the gnome.
OOC - Move to M9, attack drider, move to K13 (25ft total). Rolling with advantage due to being hidden, drider's cover negated by sharpshooter. Let me know if you want me to roll anything else. Drider would have disadvantage to detect me.
Jarl moves forward 30 feet to the edge of the cavern, stopping short at the unexpected sunlight streaming forth, and leaning into the corner (should be able to reach M8 with some diagonal movement). "Too bright, Shale!" he yells. "We've talked about this!" But he can see the wounded drider if he peeks his head around the corner, and directs the Moonbeam (CON 16 save) to center on it. Damage: 7 radiant.
Jarl needs a concentration check (DC 10) to maintain Moonbeam. Squiggles and Jarl are up (Celric's post is in the queue, pending Squiggles; Celric, you might want a backup plan ready, in case Squiggles should happen to finish off the kuo-toa).

Drider CON save vs Moonbeam: 15
Whoops, that shouldn't have happened til the drider's turn. Ah well, extra information for you I guess.
The stalactite shifts along the ceiling moving 10' to the south, trying (but not succeeding quite yet) to escape the charring daylight, then extrudes four more tendrils.
The first goes for Shale, apparently the cause of the horrible glow emanating from the back of the cave.
Tendril 1: 19
As before with Celric, the tendril slips off Shale's smooth armor.
The second tendril goes for Jarl, who also seems to control an unpleasant light source.
Tendril 2: 8
This time the attempt succeeds, and the druid is pulled 20 ft in the air, next to a toothy mouth that appears in the middle of the 'stalactite'.
The third tendril reaches for Squiggles, who had just tried to attack it with fire.
Tendril 3: 11
I guess since you're standing on top of your illusion which can move as you do, it makes sense to treat it like a version of mirror image with one image. So, this next d20 determines whether it actually grabs you or tries for your image (11 or higher to get you): 1
The tendril hits its mark with precision... unfortunately its mark was an illusion, and the tendril passes right through it.
The final tendril makes another grab for the "other" Squiggles.
Tendril 4: 27
Squiggles nearly dodges out of the way, but the tendril loops around his ankle, pulling him up until he is dangling upside down 20 ft directly above Celric.
Annoyed at the ruse and seeing a chewy snack with no inconvenient armor to get in the way, the creature takes a bite at the restrained Squiggles
Attack: 27 Damage: 33
chomping into his gnomish flesh (mercifully, only 10 piercing damage; those 1s and 2s!).
Meanwhile, however, the bright glow of dawn which the slow-moving stalactite could not yet escape completely singes the stalactite's rocky exterior
Unnoticed due to the spells bouncing round the chamber, Balian nocks an arrow and releases it in the direction of the drider, before silently making his way to the eastern side of the chamber. Another marksman may not have been able to do it, but the sharpshooting Balian manages to aim his arrow at the bit of soft elvish flesh visible from behind the column, sticking it directly into the drider's lung. Its breathing stops, and its spider legs go limp beneath it as the long-suffering drider heads for whatever afterlife might await it.
Balian, did you want to use your bonus action to try to hide again?
Kuo-toa WIS save vs. Celric's spirit guardians: 20
The dragon spirits bite at the kuo-toa, but having knowledge of the spell it is able to steel its mind and resist the full brunt of the effect (12 damage).
It then steps forward and turns right, stepping around Celric and stopping directly beneath Jarl (to M8). It waves its hands in a familiar pattern, as a new swarm of purple spectral piranhas begins to surround it (spirit guardians, again at 5th level).
It then waves its hands, causing a shimmering field to surround itself (sanctuary).
Everyone except Balian is in the kuo-toa's spirit guardians (unless Squiggles counters again). At the start of your turn if the kuo-toa is alive and maintaining concentration on the spell, make a DC 14 WIS save. On a failure, take 5d8 necrotic damage (roll your own). On a success, take half.
Flynt, Squiggles and Jarl, you are grappled and restrained, 20 ft up (Flynt, you were pulled to J9, directly beneath the stalactite). You have disadvantage on STR saves and checks, as well as attacks and DEX saves (due to being restrained). Attacks against you have advantage (also per restrained). To escape you can either attack the tendril holding you (uses one attack), or make a DC 15 athletics check (at disadvantage) or an acrobatics check (normal), either of which use an action.
Due to sanctuary, anyone wishing to attack or target the kuo-toa with a spell needs to make a DC 14 WIS save. On a success you can target it as normal. On a fail, you can't target the kuo-toa, but can choose a new target if there's a valid one in range.
OK, it’s confusing because Flynt was specifically pulled vs Jarl being lifted, so I thought it was straight up. If a Jarl wildshapes to something tiny, would that break the grapple?
Oh, sorry, both of you were lifted and pulled. The tendrils pull you toward the body. I think wildshaping into something tiny would probably do it, yeah.
Shale is nipped by the swarming spectral piranhas, but resists much of the effect (5 damage). He takes a couple of steps back and to his right (M10) to cut off an escape should the fish creature run. The kuo-toa, focusing on self-preservation, does not attack him as he backs up. Shale sends a guiding bolt at the fish priest, striking it squarely. It glows momentarily as it collapses into the water, dead.
Shale then directs his spiritual spear straight upward to attack the stalactite, but it is unable to pierce through its hard exterior.
The kuo-toa's spirit guardians is gone, obvs, so no more WIS saves are needed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cursing in pain, Squiggles yells "Balian, is this what you had in mind? I must admit, I am not a fan of heights at the best of times, and our new friend is being a bit chompy"
Squiggles will attempt to blast the tendril with a fire bolt: Attack: 19 Damage: 24
If that fails, and it can reach, Fluffy will try and bite the tendril Attack: 13 Damage: 1
Thanks for giving me a 'mirror image' for that =p And hooooo boy as if I only took 10 on a 4d8!
