As the bears continue to crunch down on the biscuits poor Ruhkis had to leave behind, the forest once again grows quiet. McFuddy easily tracks the trail of the two men, with the rest of the party close behind. After around another couple of hours of slowly working your way through the dense foliage of the forest, you come across a body. Our beloved Albert lay in a heap on the ground, abdomen eviscerated with his intestines splayed nearby. Claw marks mar his face and arms, where it seemed he tried to shield himself. Nearby, a backpack is split open, contents on the ground. Upon looking at the contents you noticed there are food crumbs scattered around the area.
McFuddy can see the trail continue off into the forest, though it is becoming more difficult to track.
What do you all do?
((McFuddy, please roll Survival to continue to track the remaining man, you may receive advantage if someone helps you. You might already have advantage though...))
((All, check roll20 for a slightly updated position))

Liet will certainly help with the tracking. He'd also like to check the wounds to see if they do match what he'd expect from a bear attack. "This looks like it could be from the bear we met earlier." He'll say, adding "but it's odd that a bear would leave a kill so ravaged yet so uneaten..."
For checking the wounds: 18 +1 medicine or +3 nature. DM choice
Theos will cast Guidance again, but this time on McFuddy ((he's doing the Survival roll right?)). "If you ever need help, just ask for it. My Goddess is free with giving her Guidance to those who need it."
Ruhkis silently hopes the party come across some bandits so that he can knock them out and pilfer their food. After confirming with McFuddy that the trail is not yet cold, he steals a glance at Albert's mutilated corpse. Ruhkis shudders at the thought of what he went through before finally succumbing to his attacker. With a shrug about both his biscuits and Albert, the dwarf takes up his position at the back of the formation and waits for McFuddy to lead on, his axe a little more tightly gripped then perhaps it was before.

You have a favored terrain type. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for proficient skills when you make an INT or WIS check related to it. While traveling for an hour or more in your chosen terrain, difficult terrain doesn’t slow your group’s travel, your group can’t become lost except by magical means, you remain alert to danger even when you are engaged in another activity, you can move stealthily at a normal pace (while alone), you find twice as much food while foraging, and while tracking creatures, you learn the exact number, sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.

NALLA
Nalla cautiously walks forward to look at the man, but turns away with a flip of her stomach. Instead, she decides to change her focus to the food crumbs and other contents that had spilled from the backpack.
Theos shudders, looking away from the body. He had seen violence before, although he liked to be the one that ended it. He'll continue on with the group, eager to leave the scene.
McFuddy is able to follow the tracks without a shadow of doubt. Tree branches snapped, grass stomped, and tattered cloth dot the tracks as you follow them, it was obvious the man was in a hurry. A couple hours later, just as dawn begins to peek through the canopy of the forest, you come across a small clearing. As you approach, still at a distance, you can see a very dilapidated looking cabin (noticeably larger than the picture). The tracks of stomped down grass leads to the front of the cabin where a the man you were tracking lays face down. About thirty feet from the cabin and man is a smoldering pile. Small tendrils of smoke rise up in the faint morning light, the fire proper has long since been dead. The party is about 100 feet away from the scene, with no one in sight.
Pointing at the body Liet will say "that's the other man who attacked me and ran... I wonder if he's dead or resting... Dead seems more likely out here, but what could have caused it? We left the bears back write a few hours ago." Pondering options he adds "I think we should be careful approaching that cabin... Should I try to sneak up alone?"
"If it were me luring someone here, I'd have an ambush sitting just off the edge of the clearing waiting for you to walk into the cabin. Then I'd warp wood on the doors and shutters and lite the pla…"
Ruhkis doesn't finish the sentence. He clears his throat and pauses a moment to collect his thoughts.
"May I recommend a scouting of the perimeter first?"
McFuddy points to the body as he takes off above the group. “Check him.” He rises until he is even higher than the cabin. He’ll check the surroundings for anything or anyone he can find.
(Are we still in the woods so I still get my double proficiency?)
((Nicely handled all. I think I was almost as nervous as if I'd really seen a bear. Well described^^))
"Whew.. that was close. Let's get outa here and let them alone." Liet will quietly say to the group.
((Liet has 150xp from the wolves... Was that not right?))

You find odds and ends, nothing of importance. Certainly no biscuits.

McFuddy still has double proficiency. 11
Also, anyone scouting, please explain what you are doing and also roll perception. Additionally, roll stealth if you are trying to be sneaky.
McFuddy sees nothing but the body, ashes, and cabin as he hovers overhead.

You don't notice anything out of place around the perimeter. You can't see into the cabin at that distance, too.

Ruhkis will hold position here and wait for a scouting report, keeping an eye out as well.
