OOC: Serak crossing the bridge has caused it to collapse as he makes it half way across. He lands prone at the bottom and takes 7 damage - with your movement there, you still have enough movement left to be able to stand up in the same turn
The crevasse walls are about 20ft deep and can be navigated without an ability check, but both the crevasse sides and the floor count as difficult terrain - half speed.
(The checks on the southern bridge failed earlier when Beetle and Syna inspected them)
[OOC: Was Serak there for that? I don't remember reading it. I feel like somebody would yell for him to stop if they I new he was about to fall. lol Did Serak at least get a Dex save?
Edit: Never mind, I see what you're saying. Their checks to see if the bridge was sturdy failed. Passive 13 Perception ain't good enough. Taking expertise on that asap. lol Can I roll acrobatics for half falling damage or is that not a thing anymore?
OOC: The bridge looked safe when Beetle and Syna both checked, they just didn't notice any traps.
I don't have a DC for the bridge collapsing for you to roll against... But if you were to make a DC 15 I'd let you make it across and continue your run/attack. Either way the bridge will still collapse. You can roll now or I'll put it in later if you'd rather? Sorry should have thought about the save!
Edit: I think your acrobatics saves have been taken out from 5e from what I can see
[OOC: Did you say earlier that I would have had Advantage for my surprise attack without spending Inspiration? If so, I am definitely using it here. I'll let you roll it when you resolve the round.]

Brots, seeing the creature run, will turn around, pointing his bow at it and releasing another arrow. "Take this you scum!" He shouts as his arrow leaves his bow. Attack: 23 Damage: 5
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: Just waiting for Zyltris attack roll. He's last in the order so I'll update this post etc when Hiker makes his move.
Seeing the creature attempt to flee, Serak moves at full speed south while drawing his crossbow.Keeping his eyes firmly fixed on the nothic, Serak begins to cross the southern bridge. The bridge groans loudly as he runs across. Suddenly he loses his footing as the bridge disappears beneath him.
Serak Dexterity Save: 16,19 (Forgot to roll your advantage, so rolled twice) Target: 15
Serak realises the danger too late and mistimes a last ditch effort to leap to safety. He smashes to the crevasse floor below in a mess of rocks and wooden debris, 7 damage. The bard gingerly picks himself up off the ground, clearly shaken. The crevasse is about 20ft deep, the floor a maze of boulders, difficult to navigate quickly.
Serak:
The floor of the crevasse feels unnaturally cold. Amongst the rocks, piles of old gnawed bones and a human body. At the northern end of the crevasse, beneath the northern bridge, a small hole sits in the rockface.
Meanwhile, seeing the Nothic escape his blade, Brots, turns around, raises his bow and notches another arrow. He aims towards he beast, but finds his target is obstructed by the dominating figure of Zyltris. Trying his best to get a clear shot, the gnome sees his opportunity.
"Take this you scum!" He shouts as his arrow leaves his bow.
Attack: 8, 6 (Added the second roll for your disadvantage)
The arrow sails through the air, but misses, glancing off the cavern wall and spinning away helplessly.
Charging across the cavern, Beetle gives chase to the fleeing nothic. Squeezing beside Zyltris on the narrow ledge of the crevasse, Beetle swings his longsword at his foe.
Attack 10
The available space is too tight to get a decent swing of his longsword and Beetles swing is in vain.
To the south, Syna aims another frostbite towards the Nothic. Frigid air descends around the beast as Syna casts his spell.
Nothic Constitution Saving Throw: 8 Synas Spell Save DC: 13
Seeing his failure, Syna heads northwards to catch up with the chasing party.
The nothic reaches the northern bridge, bleeding, chased and in pain. In desperation it turns around, faces Zyltris and sends a deathly glare at the elf.
Zyltris feels strange as the Nothics rotting gaze hits him. Feeling an intense pain, the elf looks down to see the flesh from his unweaponed hand start to peel away, rotting from his bones. The nothic turns to flee again crossing the bridge.
As Zyltris swings in retaliation, his morningstar smashes into the nothics chest as it turns to flee, smashing ribs. The beast falls to the floor in a heap, struggling to breathe. Standing over it, Beetle, Zyltris and Syna watch as the creature draws its final breaths. Its chest heaving slowly, the telepathic voice enters their heads a final time.
"It wasn't wanting a fight. Betrayers! Falsers! It thought its were friendlies! The dragons will.... do it, Muriel! Do.... it for the trea...."
The nothics breathing ceases. The glowing green eye begins to dull and glaze over as life leaves its monstrous body.
OOC: Nothic is dead. Thought he might get away for a second there! Instead it was my turn to have the rubbish dice rolls!
The southern bridge has collapsed. Serak is currently at the bottom of the crevasse. The others are on the west side of the chamber beside the northern bridge.
For defeating the nothic - award yourselves with 90XP each
Seeing the creature dead, Beetle turns back towards where the south bridge was and heads back there following the west side..."Serak are you ok? I saw the bridge collapse but I couldn't see you land." As Beetle gets back to the general area of where the bridge was he will slowly climb down to help Serak if needed. "Now would be a good time to see what this creature was hiding down there."
Zyltris bends down to check the nothic for loot, information, etc. while using the opportunity to catch his breath. He will then peer around the corners that have become visible to see if he notices anything as something must have heard us.
Investigation: 5
Perception: 11
OOC: No intentions for meta gaming with the bardic inspiration note. I figured since I was last I would have a good idea by then of where the AC would be so I’d be able to judge at that time if I should use that extra roll or not.
Beetle slides down the steep sided walls of the crevasse, hoping to find Serak still alive.
Beetle and Serak:
Reaching the crevasse floor, Beetle notices an unnaturally cold air surround him. Littering the ground, countless jagged shaped rocks, the splintered remnants of the southern bridge and piles of well-gnawed bones. A few feet away to the north, a body lies motionless against a pile of bones. In the distance, underneath the northern bridge, Beetle can make out the outline of a small inlet cut into the cliff wall. The debris makes it difficult to navigate around the crevasse. Carefully navigating around the bridge debris, Beetle finally spots Serak, dusting himself down.
Zyltris is relieved to see that his rotting hand has returned back to normal - the visual effect caused by the nothic disappearing on its death. Checking the rotted, leathery, purple corpse for anything of use, he is disappointed to find that the beast has nothing of value on its person. The elf gags a little at the smell of decomposing flesh and rises back to his feet, and peeks around the corner of the corridor to the north west.
Down the long corridor, Zyltris can hear a very faint murmuring. Men talking, laughing or yelling? How many he can't say for sure from here. The corridor continues down a set of steps after about 15-20ft. The end of the corridor is flanked by two wooden doors, the sounds seem to be coming from one of those
OOC: Don't worry about the Bardic Inspiration Zyltris. If you'd rolled well you wouldn't have used it and if you'd rolled badly you probably would have regardless. The nothics AC was 15 so it still took a 5/6 on the d6 to make the hit.
"Guys I found Serak," Beetle calls out to the group..."He is injured but seems ok. There is something down here, a hole or something cut into the cliff wall." He turns to Serak, "Do you need healing friend? I don't have my Lay Hands available but we do have some healing potions." Beetle awaiting an answer from his friend turns to check the hole in the wall.

Tying a rope onto the stone column, Syna climbs down to the crevasse floor. The floor is unnaturally cold and strewn with shattered wooden debris, old gnawed bones and sharp boulders. Beneath the north bridge, Syna spots the small hole that Beetle is making his way towards. Between Syna and the bridge lies a motionless humanoid object lying beside a pile of broken bones. The druid makes his way over to Serak, standing amongst the wreckage of the southern bridge, dusting himself off.
Beetle clambers through the debris strewn cavern with great effort. Bones and broken pieces of wood crunch below his feet. Finally, after a few minutes of struggle, Beetle finally makes it to the inlet beneath the bridge.
Putting his hand inside, Beetle feels the shape of a hard wooden box and pulls it out firmly. A long deep box, covered in claw marks made by the nothic. It is unlocked. The paladin opens the chest to reveal a mass of treasure within. 129 Gold Pieces, 160 Silver Pieces, 5 Malachite Gems, 2 Potions of Healing and a Scroll of Augury.
Beneath these sits a longsword in a delicate silver scabbard. Drawing the blade Beetle is impressed by the artistry of the bladesmith. The Swords hilt, golden in colour and worked into the shape of a bird of prey in flight, wings outstretched. Inscribed along the shining steel blade near the hilt, the word "TALON"
After searching the nothic and looking around the corners Zyltris heads back towards the group. He urges them to be quiet saying, “I heard something around the corner over there. It sounds like people might be talking. I don’t think we are alone and we should be cautious. Does anybody need healing before we potentially fight again?”
"Well look here," Beetle says going through the creatures treasure..."Yes Syna he certainly did have quite a horde." Beetle lifts the sword, "Quite a fine piece of steel here," drawing it from its scabbard, "Nicely balanced also," Beetle continues swing it..."a few more healing potions also...maybe use one now for Serak. As far as the rest if anyone wants the sword I'm fine with it, maybe Zyltris? If not I may wield it myself."

You’d still have your inspiration anyway. Might as well use it if you want to!
Anyway, I’ll deal with that later. Brots, Syna and Zyltris to go next! Lol
