Serak: Waiting until everyone is in position, Serak formulates a quick plan. Thinking the best approach is always exploiting human vices, Serak takes a small handful of coppers and hurls them down the corridor, being sure the majority land at the top of the stairs as he throws them.
The voice of the slain Nothic calls out loudly from the top of the stairs, "Sooo so hungry it is! Its treasures for meats and treats it gives you! The dragons and Muriel will be pleased! Yes, YES! Treasures for treats a bargain we meets - with meats! HahahaHAHA!"

Down the corridor the southern door creaks slowly open. A goblin is forcibly shoved from within falling face first onto the cold stone floor. The goblin picks himself up off the floor and glances up the stairs nervously. He is a quivering wreck as he takes slow agitated steps forward.
The goblin quietly calls out up the staircase, "Sep... sep zen Mosk..... sar..... sarit not onlrit con.. k.. k.. kahl tendarit. Sto fal kahl des?"
Beetle, Brots:
"The... the great Mosk... sa... says we only fed y... y... you a tenday ago. What do you wish to exchange?"
The terrified goblin goes no further than the bottom of the stairs, fear overcomes him and stops him from stepping any further forward.
Beetle scurries back by Serak, staying hidden along the wall he quietly says, "The goblin wants to know what we will pay for food...I didn't want to answer cause I don't know how to do that voice trick you do....I also don't think the goblin is the only one he seems to be answering for someone else"
Then move slowly and carefully to stay hidden back to his spot by the stairs.
Scattering more coppers across the floor on the top of the stairs, Serak makes the voice sound to be coming from the crevasse and says, "It fears it does. No need, no need.. Wizzy doesn't feed it enough. It wants to trade coins and gems for meats and treats! Enough for all of you down there!"
Serak rolls one of the malachite gems out into the open floor in the center of the party.

The goblin stares at the collection of treasures gathering along the stair case, unsure what to do he stammers and stutters a response.
"A... Daan..."
He turns and flees back into the safety of the southern room. A few seconds later the door smashes open once more. The goblin reemerges, this time held in the air by its throat by a huge hairy beast - a bugbear. Taking angry strides towards the chamber the bugbear booms out -
"Rhaan! Dar an den khruukaakaan? O'kaan shuukorec huur Droop maagaan!"
Beetle and Brots:
"Beast! What is this nonsense? You're confusing poor droop here!"
The bugbear takes another few steps, stopping at the top of the staircase. "Tuul ogaach o shogaal shaakhogaan ac A tach daar o"
Beetle and Brots:
"Show yourself you cursed creature and I shall treat you"
OOC: First round is a suprise round, Bugbear and Goblin will not engage. Goblin would give the bugbear half cover.
Same format as last time. Record your attacks with possible alternatives and I'll collate them all after everyone has moved. Syna I have your attack already, unless you want to change it.
As you have surprise, the bugbear can't move until its turn on Round 2 - Beetle and Zyltris you can make two moves - one per round.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brots, not being able to see the Bugbear or Goblin from where he is standing will move toward behind Syna to get a better view. Brots will ready his bow, notch his arrow and release his arrow quietly. Hoping to not give away his exact position. Attack: 15 Damage: 6
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zyltris will engage the bugbear with his Morningstar for both rounds, going after the goblin if the bugbearbis d ad or leaves his reach. 1st Attack: 18 Damage: 10
[OOC: Didn't see all the damage the Bugbear is about to take. If he dies, Serak will shoot his crossbow at the goblin.]
Attack: 13
Damage: 7
Edit - Critical Hit: 2
Here I am telling Beetle he critical hit, and so did I. lol
Forgot to add Vicious Mockery damage and it changed the nat 20 I rolled for some reason, but that attack never happened anyway. It changed the Critical damage too. It was a 1. No longer editing posts with dice rolls. I'll post again if I need to.

Leaping out from behind the cavern wall, Beetle suprises the bugbear at the top of the stoned steps. The beast stops, stunned at the fiery green blade slashing towards him. In his haste, Beetle misjudges his strike, the flame rippling harmlessly through the air.
Seeing Beetle leap out, Zyltris follows suit, reaching for his morningstar. Overestimating the width of the tunnel, the elf clashes into Beetle, compromising his own swing. The morningstar chimes powerlessly against the tunnel wall.
The bugbear narrowly escaping two blows, gathers him self long enough to call out behind him, "MOSK! DAAN'ZAAN HUUR DUUKAAN. AKORTHAAR!"
Beetle and Brots:
"MOSK! WE'VE GOT TROUBLE. INTRUDERS!"
Behind the stone column, Brots is frustrated at not being able to see the action. Skirting around, he takes a position beside Syna and spots the huge bulking figure of the bugbear, with a goblin in its hands. In an instant, the gnome raises his bow, notches an arrow and releases. Ducking back behind the column, Brots doesn't see his arrow ricochet off the cave wall and spin away down the stairway.
"Hey, stupid! You just fell for the oldest trick in the book!" Seraks voice fills the chamber as he casts his mocking spell at the bugbear. He smiles slyly, pleased that his plan is working and readies his crossbow.
Bugbear Wisdom Saving Throw: 20 Seraks Spell Save DC: 13
The terrified goblin lets out a pathetic scream and wriggles violently in the bugbears strong grip, desperate to escape, "Kaar ghaan huun, maach!"
Beetle and Brots:
"Let me go! Help!"
Eager to silence the quivering goblin, Syna charges across the room and draws his scimitar. The steel of the blade scrapes pleasantly out of the elfs scabbard as he tries to force his way past Beetle and Zyltris blocking the corridor. His allies block the way effectively. Synas blade swings but only slices through empty air.
(Updated to the end of Bugbears attacks in Round 2)
OOC: Beetle and Zyltris I have your moves in already, the other two bugbears enter this round so it gives the others a chance to target them if I run your actions now.If you have any changes let me know, although your targets will still be restricted to B1 and G1. Bugbears still have half cover - from Beetle, Zyltris and Syna. (I'll be using the cover damage rulings from now on as well - if that suits everyone. Basically if your attack beats a monsters AC but not its AC+Cover, the attack deals damage to the cover instead. If the cover is a monster/PC then they take the damage.)
Beetle takes a back handed swing at the bugbear. Green flame slicing through the cool cave air.
Attack: 26 Damage: 12 Collateral Damage to Goblin: 3
In his hands, Talon makes Beetle feel stronger and deadly to his foes. His attacks are dealt with slightly more force and damage than before. (+1 on attack rolls, +1 on damage rolls using Talon). He delivers a critical hit on the bugbear, (7), breaking ribs on the beasts side. (CON saving throw to take actions).
With his own second attack, Zyltris swings his morningstar back at the bugbear.
Attack: 17 Damage: 10
The spiked orb flashes through the tunnel, missing the bugbear but smashing into the goblin with devastating effect. The goblin takes the hit with a squeal, and falls to the floor in a bloody heaped mess, dead.
The bugbear winces in pain, hurting from his broken ribs. 2. He struggles to raise his own morningstar in retaliation, and instead starts moving back down the stairs and into the safety of the southern room.
A moment later, two more bugbears emerge and stand at the bottom of the staircase, ready to fight. One, the larger of the two, wears a jewelled eye patch.
[OOC: I didn't see you roll a saving throw for Vicious Mockery. Assuming from what you wrote that he failed his save. I forgot to add damage so I added it in. It jacked with all the other dice rolls. Every time I edit the post now, all the dice rolls change. Vicious Mockery seems to stay a 4 though.
