Reacting quickly to Seraks sudden collapse, Beetle dives to the floor, catching his companion. The paladins hands glow faintly as he channels the strength of Tyr. whispering a short prayer into the bards ear.

Seraks eyes flicker and open, followed by a gasp for air as he sits upright. He nods in thanks to Beetle, reaching for his allies hand.
Noticing the resurrection, the nearby hobgoblin thrusts its longsword into the crowd. With an angry grunt, it swipes for Serak.
Hobgoblin Attack Roll: 20 Damage: (8+11)
The blade plunges into Seraks side, forcing air back out of the bards lungs. His grip on Beetle sudden loosens, as his body falls back to the floor - lifeless. Withdrawing his sword, the hobgoblin takes off, pulling back against the wall, circling around Arkhans table.
OOC: Another hard hitting roll. I can't even pull punches!

A thin red mist spurts into the air as Syna splutters through the potion, gasping for air. Disorientated and fighting through blurred vision, it takes a few moments for the druid to regain himself, eventually nodding a thanks to the dragonborn towering over him. A quick glance around the room tells him exactly what to do.
Syna rises gingerly to his feet, raising a palm outwards to his companions. Closing his eyes, he whispers a short, soft prayer to the gods of the forest. From nowhere, the glowing apparition of a young female elf appears. She smiles sweetly, hovering softly around the party in the center of the chamber before settling herself above Syna. "Sariel can cure our wounds. Let her spirit into your hearts."
Sariel Healing to Syna: 5
The ghostly elf giggles to herself, sprinkling the druid in a flurry of leaves which seem to strengthen his resolve. Without stopping for thought, Syna immediately begins casting again. This time shouting to the ceiling in elvish, "MORAES OS SI THYSAER! EIR IAR!" As his hand begins to faintly glow, Syna thrusts it against Seraks side. The bard comes to, quickly checking himself over.

Healing Spirit (the elven ghost) - Until the spell ends, whenever you or a creature you can see moves into the spirit’s space for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, you can cause the spirit to restore 1d6 hit points to that creature (no action required). Moving past Syna closely, Serak bathes himself in the healing light as he weighs his options. Assuming the King and Wolf slumber, the Bard will move to prevent the Hobgoblin from being able to reach Syna.
The bugbear sneezes violently, wafting dust away from its eyes. Beside him, the wolf yawns loudly, before stretching itself out and curling up on the floor.
With Grol distracted for a moment, Serak steps into the ghostly light, receiving its healing gift, his mind racing with tactical decisions to be made.

Wiping sand from his eyes, Grol lets out a roar. Morningstar raised, he swings hard into the crowd, swinging first at Syna.
Grol Attack Roll 1: 6
Nimbly ducking away, Syna easily avoids the blow, watching in terror as the morningstar swings towards him a second time.
Grol Attack Roll 2: 20 Damage: 12
The second blow smashes into Synas chest, forcing the druid back to the floor. The ghostly apparition above him instantly disappears with an echoed shriek.
A flash of light fills the room as Beetles shield bursts into life. With one arm holding his staff aloft, Beetle swings low, swiping his blade at Gundrens legs.
Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Talon strikes the beast, slicing a chunk of flesh from its shins. For a brief moment, it appears as if Gundren might stumble, but the creature holds firm and steady. A wry smile grows on Gundrens disfigured face.
From the rear of the group, the suffering hobgoblin stumbles forwards, a long trail of crimson pooling along the floor behind it. With a grunt of effort, the beast thrusts its longsword into the group, stabbing at Serak from behind.

The blade falters, almost falling from the hobgoblins grasp as he strikes. Serak, barely registers the attack, still preoccupied with Grol now looming beside him.
OOC: Bit of luck! Arkhan, we're back to you again. H1 has moved 1 Square North.
Watching as Syna is helplessly cleaved down again before him, despite his best efforts, Arkhan turns with fury towards the Hobgoblin behind him. Tossing Hew into his off hand, the dragonborn pulls back, puts his weight onto his front foot and swings hard.

Blinded by fury and precariously balanced on the table top, Arkhan misjudges his strike. Hew glances harmlessly against the hobgoblins chain mail. With a grumble the hobgoblin slaps the axe away, staring the dragonborn down.

A cold chill runs along Synas side, the stone pressed hard against him. The druids eyes remain tightly closed, barely able to keep grasp on his slowly fading consciousness. The sound of scuffling footsteps approach, skipping over his head.
Spinning on the spot, Serak scans his available options. Danger looms all around him, though one target seems most promising. Lifting his poisoned blade, the bard stabs at the hobgoblin.
Attack: 23 Damage: 8 + 7 (Poison)
The hobgoblin stands motionless, stunned by the blow, dark poison oozing from the fresh wound in its chest. A deep burn penetrates every inch of his body. Serak withdraws the blade sharply, watching as the hobgoblins mouth starts to bubble with white froth. A moment later, it falls to the floor, twitching and screaming in agony, before suddenly falling silent.
Turning sharply away, Serak bounds over his fallen companion. "Vitala!" A quick glance down reassures the bard - Synas eyes flicker as he regains consciousness. A flash of steel approaches. Instinctively Serak ducks, Grols morningstar swinging angrily over him as he somersaults back into the corridor.
Grunting in anger, Grol brings his morningstar back over his head. Noticing Syna stirring below him, the bugbear brings his weapon sharply downwards.

CRUNCH! Grols morningstar smashes into one of the stone tiles, sending huge chunks of stone into the air. Grol roars in frustration, bringing his morningstar around a second time.

SMASH! Syna opens his eyes in time, rolling aside as the bugbear pulverizes another stone slab to dust. King Grol bellows in anger, lifting his morningstar again, "GRARR NOOO! YOU STAY DEAD!!"
OOC: These rolls..... both with advantage too because Synas still prone. Unbelievable lol.
Sorry Beetle, not sure how I missed your post! Serak finished him anyway. He was a good bit short, Bless and Bardic Inspiration would both have needed two decent rolls.

A searing pain rushes from his chest as Gundrens nails manage to snake inside, ripping into flesh. With a hiss Gundren withdraws, his hands dripping wet with blood.

Beetle falters a moment as his defenses weak...he utters words to Tyr... "great Vengeful one,please give us the strength to finish this battle" and he swings again at Grundren..
