OOC: Not trying to take control of Syna, but we need him out of this room. He could cast Healing Spirit on Serak, pass by Serak to heal himself too, and then get 3/4 Cover against Grol's AoO from the doorway.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Beetle wrenches his staff from the beasts hand and finds himself oddly hesitant. A quick prayer to his god soon fills him with the strength he needs. With Talon firmly in his grasp he takes a swipe at Gundren.
Attack: 13 (+ Bless and Bardic Inspiration)
Though Beetle swings with all of his might, the monstrosity of Gundren merely steps aside. Talon sings sweetly as it slices through the air, glinting in the firelight, barely missing its intended target. Beetles faith wavers slightly. No. Tyr always pulls through.
Leaping from the table top, Arkhan lands heavily, breaking a slab of his own beneath his feet. The dragonborn strides forwards into a gap in the fray, Hew held tightly in his grasp. With a snort, he twirls the axe in his fingers, before swinging upwards in Grols direction.
Attack: 9
Stumbling slightly among the crumbled stonework, Arkhan falls off balance. His swing, though hard, fades away as he misjudges his angle of attack. Grol chuckles loudly, batting the blade playfully away with his own weapon.
With the king distracted, Syna spots his chance. Firmly closing his eyes for a brief moment, the druid draws the forest spirit back into the room. The young, beautiful elven maiden appears once more, circling the room silently, smiling at each companion in turn. "My lady, no time for pleasantries. We must make haste!" Syna nods to the apparition to lead on, allowing her to position herself beyond the doorway before himself disengaging from the fight and ducking into the corridor. As he passes beneath her, the maiden blesses him, soothing his wounds as best she can.
Healing Spirit to Syna: 5
Buoyed by the reappearance of the spirit, Serak steps into the light and is instantly filled with the power of the forest. With Syna safely tucked away, the bard ducks into the room, taking his opportunity and thrusting his blade into Grols side.
Healing Spirit to Serak: 4
Attack: 23 Damage: 9 + 5 (Poison) = 14
Caught off guard, Grol roars with pain as the rapier plunges into his side. The king staggers ever so slightly as the poison seeps into him, instantly blackening the flesh around the wound. Eager to escape, Serak darts away once more. Back into the healing glow of the forest spirit.
King Grol gives chase, refusing to be bested by such insolence. With his morningstar in hand the bugbear stomps forwards, kicking the door open with a large hairy foot. Without warning he swings his weapon, bringing it downwards onto Seraks head.
King Grol Attack Roll 1: 6 Damage:9
King Grol Attack Roll 2: 15
Grols first blow cracks into the bards skull, almost knocking him out cold. However, as the bugbear raises his club for the killer blow, he forgets the doorframe, briefly jamming his weapon into woodwork. He grunts angrily, tearing shards of wood away from the frame in an effort to retrieve his morningstar. Meanwhile, dazed and slightly confused, Serak glances up to see the ghostly spirit above him. The maiden twirls in the air, smiling sweetly at him.
Gundren steps away from the wall as the chamber empties. The beast stands tall, now towering above both Arkhan and Beetle. Raising its claws once more, it lashes out at Arkhan.
Gundren Attack Roll 1: 10 Damage: 6
Gundren Attack Roll 2: 9
Arkhan takes a heavy blow but manages to somehow raise Hew to parry the second. The dragonborn struggles to remain upright, but resists to urge to stagger. The familiar, sinister smile stretches across the creatures face as it hisses an inaudible threat to the two companions beside it.
OOC: I had edited Serak's movement after your suggestion, so he should be standing where Grol is, so I suppose the spirit is there too. Did it that way so Syna can move up behind Serak and see to move the healing spirit.
OOC: See it now Serak, I still had the addition 1W movement for some reason :/ Rest of the round will be the same anyways!
Round map updated! Syna will move up on his turn, logistics prevented it last time! Any missing issues let me know :D
Beetle swings with intent, feeling the full power of Tyr behind him. Talon. feeling suddenly weightless in the paladins hands, gleams in the firelight, slicing into the beast.
Attack: 16 Damage: 5
A spurt of red follows the blade as Gundren falls victim to Talons wrath. The beast reels backwards, grasping in anger at his attacker.
OOC: I guess technically, the Healing Spirit is where Serak was before he moved, so 1W of him. If I understand the spell, Syna can walk 1N to heal himself and then move the Spirit past all of us to heal us all, right? Going to wait to see if Grol lives and what Syna does before posting my action.

OOC: Apologies folks, turns out this week is much busier than expected, we may have an early delivery! I’ll try and get an update done ASAP.
Serak, from what I gather Syna can indeed move 1N, take a heal and then move the spirit. As for healing the others, Syna can move the spirit 30ft, but the healing comes from you guys either starting in or moving into the space, not the spirit moving into yours. With the room as it stands it’s a little difficult to place the spirit somewhere where everyone can reach, so best tactic would be for Syna to heal someone then move it to someone else for the next round.
Arkhan, I can give you a more descriptive version later on, but for now I can say your attack did not hit.

Serak: Staggered by the massive head wound inflicted by Grol's blow, Serak struggles to stay on his feet as blood flows into his eyes. In a last ditch effort, the Bard musters all his remaining strength and shouts defiantly, "Your reign ends here, Grol!"
Leaping headlong at the Bugbear, Serak feints left at the last second, ducking low before springing into the air at the monster. Both hands tightly gripping the hilt of his blade, he plunges the cold steel deep into the King's throat.

Almost giving up hope, Arkhan musters up every ounce of remaining strength. A crackle of energy bursts into Hews blade, and with a deep growl, he swings.
Attack Roll: 17 (Bless + Bardic Inspiration) OOC: Wait, I miscounted! Turns out you will hit after all lol Damage: 7 (on movement: 1 thunder)
Arkhans arms shake as his axe bade embeds itself deep into Grols side. The bugbears makeshift crown falls from his head, toppling to the floor and rolling away with a loud clatter. Stuck in a tangle of chain mail, the dragonborn wrenches his blade free, releasing a torrent of blood from beneath the kings armour.
Syna steps back into the doorway and glances into the room. Above him, his healing spirit whispers into his ear, lifting some of the pain from his wounds. Calmly the druid closes his eyes, and reaches a cold icy hand into the chamber. With a flick of his fingers and flurry of snow flakes soar through the air, swirling around the monstrous form of Gundren Rockseeker.

Across the chamber Gundrens movements suddenly slow. The wet, shimmer on his skin seems to crystalise and harden, restricting his movement. With a loud growl he stretches desperately, shivering to loosen his tightened muscles. Syna simply ducks into cover, round the corner into the corridor once more.
Blinded by blood and off balance, Serak barely manages to stay upright. Arkhans attack has given him his chance. Serak grips his blade tightly, ducking and weaving, yelling at the beast in a mixture of rage and defiance,"Your reign ends here, Grol!" Grol swings a heavy blow the bards way, but misses leaving himself open as Serak ducks aside. The bard spins, leaping into the air, blade held firmly before him.
There's a wet pop as Seraks cold steel plunges into the kings throat, followed by a second stream of blood. Grol gasps for air, dropping his weapon and clutching his throat, his face filled with pure disbelief. He spits a wet, bubbled and completely inaudible threat through the liquid, taking a single staggered step backwards.
The bugbear king falls backwards to the floor, still clutching at his throat as several spurts of blood force their way through his fingers. Slowly the spurts grow weaker. Grol twitches, his voice completely masked by the volume of blood. A moment later, he falls silent and dead.
Not resting on his laurels, Serak springs through the doorway, accepting a quick blessing from the healing spirit before leaping back into the chamber. He steps over the fallen bugbear, careful not to tread in the large pool of blood now covering the stone.
Healing Spirit to Serak: 2
OOC: Nice! Sorry Arkhan, it was late last night trying to add those up!
As Grols spluttering ends, Gundrens eyes suddenly widen. His gaze snaps between Beetle and the bugbear corpse. Ducking beneath another of Beetles blows, the creature watches in vain as Serak clambers over the kings body - though importantly leaving a trail out of the chamber. Without a moments thought, Gundren disengages, leaping over the sleeping wolf and charging for the doorway. Splattered, wet footsteps pummel the stone as he lands, sliding through the open door. Syna blocks the way south.

Serak:On the heels of the fleeing Shapeshifter, Serak cleans the King's blood from his Rapier as he shouts, "Where ya going? The party has just started!" He then leans through the doorway close to Beetle and the Spirit, bathing himself in the healing radiance.
Serak: Helping a bewildered Syna to his feet, Serak says, "Get behind me!" as he holds the doorway for the Druid.
Rounding the corner, Serak darts forward with a flourish, thrusting his Rapier at Grol with all the strength and skill he can muster.
