As the fog sets in Beetle says, "OK, I will take point, so hopefully if arrows do fly our way they bounce off my shield and armor," and Beetle slowly starts to move out cautiously.
A thick soupy fog descends into the small valley, starting from a point about half way up the right embankment. It slowly spreads downwards, falling about 5 foot short of the cart. It's so thick that it almost completely obscures everything it engulfs. The slight breeze that has been blowing all day makes little impact on the rolling cloud as it spreads.
Serak: Patting Beetle on the shoulder enthusiastically, Serak gives the Paladin an encouraging word, "Who's the best Paladin? You're the best Paladin! Go get 'em buddy!"
Serak uses Bardic Inspiration on Beetlejuice. Allows target to add +1d6 to any single roll in the next 10 mins, after seeing the result, but before resolution.
Zyltris ties the cart off to a nearby tree and takes a position flanking Beetle and Serak. Stayingjust our of reach he whispers “I’m ready as needed to defend you both.”
Making its way through the soupy fog, the group begins to climb the right hand embankment. Beetle leads the way, following the same path that Serak took on his previous climb. The hillside is deathly quiet, unnervingly so, but the group persevere. The ground eventually flattens out and the fog abruptly clears, before him Beetle spots a thicket about 5 feet away. Another step and he will exit the fog, revealing himself to daylight once more.
"If they are still here, I would think they are waiting in that thicket. We can hold here in the fog a min and let Serak scout again further or we go for it. I myself don't mind leading the way, all this sneaking isn't my style, but either way we need to clear this area and move through here if we are to make our delivery. If we decide to charge for the thicket we should be close enough to close and engage." Beetle always ready for battle give the group a moment to ponder the situation and awaits their responses. If he was alone, he would already be in the thicket killing some evil force.
Serak: As if on queue, Serak casts Minor Illusion.
He creates the sound of warriors rushing the thicket from the opposite direction of the group, hoping to make the enemy believe they are being flanked.

Enemy saving throw: 1 vs Seraks Spell Save DC: 13
"The ringing of chain mail and armour plating echoes from the other side of the thicket. A loud scream comes from within the bushes - "KHEREK-NOR!" - and a flurry of footsteps, broken branches and metal scraping on leather erupts from within the bracken.
One Goblin bursts from the far side, scimitar drawn and swinging madly overhead and he leaps out. Another Goblin stands upright, draws his bow, and frantically looks for a target. Both Goblins completely oblivious to the danger lurking in the fog behind them"
OOC: Unless you draw attention to yourselves before attacking then yes. The Goblins from the thicket aren't aware that you are about 5-10ft behind them

Beetlejuice charges the goblins, attacking the one with the bow and hoping to cause enough commotion to draw the other goblins attention away from others.
Attack: 12 Damage: 5
plus 2 to damage if the Bardic inspiration is still active.
OOC :Hope i did this right virgin attack roll on here
OOC: No problem at all. I think in this case as the party would be attacking from full cover then they would suprise the Goblins (everybodies dexterity beats the Goblins Passive perception). Given the distance and the movement required to reach and attack either goblin, I think your chain mail would probably result in a disadvantage on this first attack. So you can all have a free first attack roll against either Goblin, but Beetle would also roll for Disadvantage
OOC: Haha, it's fine. If you'd like I can just keep it ready and add it on after Zyltris turn. It's completely up to you, I can discount the roll if you want to roll again. Just saw the attack range of your longsword is 5ft so I will discount the disadvantage I've given you as well as you're basically within reach of the archer.

Still moving forward, slowly and cautiously, towards where Serak believes the ambushers to be.

OOC so this would be a surprise attack from the fog which is roughly 5-10 feet from goblins?
OOC: Unless you draw attention to yourselves before attacking then yes. The Goblins from the thicket aren't aware that you are about 5-10ft behind them
OOC...sorry for the confusion so if I charge and attack is it a normal roll or is there advantage? or bonus to the roll for surprise?
Actually surprise doesn't add anything now that I think about it, it just gives us a free round before the goblins react. My bad sorrywasn't thinking

Beetle: 9
Serak: 7
Syna: 16
Zyltris:20
Goblins: 18
Serak 14 vs 19 Goblins
Order of Combat then is as follows:
First attack round against the Goblins is a free suprise attack
OOC dam I get carried away and excited, you can discount my above rolls if you want it was Zyltris turn.
