Hiding by himself in the small guard room, Brots gathers his courage and prepares to rejoin the battle. Bow in hand he tries in vain to spot a target through the dense flames. The flickering bonfire gives nothing away, the flames too intense to spot the redbrand standing merely 10 feet away. Brots lowers his bow and opts to investigate the room instead.
The room appears to be used as a temporary accommodation for the redbrands, most likely as a living quarters for redbrand guards protecting the rest of the hideout. The room is largely bare - two beds and a wall covered in crates and barrels of supplies similar to those next door. Hanging along the northern wall, three spare redbrand cloaks, mud soaked but free of blood stains.
In the cistern chamber, Syna attempts to recall winters grasp once more, this time at the last standing Redbrand guard.
Redbrand 3 Constitution Save: 11 + D/A on next weapon attack Spell Save DC: 13 Damage: 1
A swirl of ice dances across the waters surface as Synas spell descends on the redbrand. The guards cloak stiffens as his legs cramp up in the intense cold. His red cloak turns a pale pink as a thin sheet of frost covers his shoulders, slowing his movement.
Reloading his crossbow quickly, Serak rushes to the southwest trying to get a better line of sight to the redbrand. With his aim well clear of Zyltris' splashing, the bard thinks to himself, "I hope he's not drowning..., " before firing again at the Redbrand.
Attack: 6
The crossbow bolt sails across the water again, a wake rushing along behind it. As Zyltris flails around to free himself from the pool, a wave of water spreads through the pool, catching lightly on the bolt as it passes. It's just enough to change the missiles trajectory, flicking it away harmlessly into the barrels of the northern wall.
Zyltris swims across the cistern and rises out of the water again. Soaked through, he finds himself caught between the warmth of the fire and the freezing redbrand. Water pouring from his sleeves, he swings a morningstar at the back of the redbrands knees.
Attack: 15 Damage: 7
Once more, Zyltris attack is conclusive. The redbrand falls to the floor, legs smashed, body frozen. The cellar turns quiet, save for the crackle of the fire and the trickle of water from the cistern. Zyltris shivers slightly as he turns to warm himself by the fire, trying to dry himself out.
OOC: Three Redbrands Dead - Another 60xp awarded to each of you.
Once things calm down Beetle calls out..."Everyone ok, anyone need healing or anything...: Beetle feeling rejuvenated after the fight like Tyr rewarded him realizes his pool of healing energy has increased, he will wait a little in case anyone needs any, if not he will heal himself.
Then Beetle will search the dead Redbrands for treasure and help Brots search the other room.
Syna breaks his concentration and the fire dies....
OCC: Somewhere I missed some XP, updated it and it moves me to 3. Can I use the spell slot for a spell already prepared, or do I need a long rest? (Really need a long rest, soon :) )
OOC: don't use a heal yet I think me and Brots are only ones injured and I am fine at 23/27 hp and i can use Lay Hands on Brots if he needs for 5 hp's.
"So where are we heading next, one of these other doors here or back to that storage room that has a secret door in it? The room north of the crevasse." Beetle asks feeling new powers of Tyr rushing through him.

Serak: Preferring mud over blood, Serak changes cloaks and says, "Well fought, gentleman. Now, let's have a look around." He then begins searching for traps while looking for anything of value.
Investigation: 17
Peering up the stairs, the bard listens closely for any sounds coming from above.
Perception: 14
Finally, he nods and says, "The other secret door it is then! Also, I think I discovered a second secret door in the supply room, but it wouldn't open."

Serak investigating the rest of the cistern chamber, finds a small pouch containing 5 electrum pieces underneath a bed in the western room. Next, he makes his way over to the bottom of the stairway leading to the upper floor. Listening carefully he hears nothing but the gentle trickle of water from the cistern. Convinced of the rooms safety, he patiently waits for the others as he prepares to make his way back to the northern storage area.
OOC: So, somebody needs a good search roll before we leave these rooms. lol
Also, I didn't realize there was another door north of the gambling room. This place is way bigger than I thought. Maybe we should have done a long rest after all? lol

OOC: that northern room also had at least 1 secret door, maybe 2 I forgot what i read way back, if 1 is on the west side of it it could wrap into that room where they were gambling.
OOC: Yeah, I think I misread it the first time. I thought there was only one door that Serak couldn't open, but Beetle figured out.
Reading back, there were two doors. The one that doesn't open sounds more interesting. We could try to force it, or go around to the door north of the common room.

Zyltris will work on getting himself out of the cistern. If there’s enough movement left over to get to the Redbrand he will attack.

Any new spell slot you gained are available but old ones that were already used need a long rest to be available again.
I leveled, picked up couple spell slots, 5 more hp worth of Lay Hands and best of all my Divine Smite ability.
Oh and my Ac went from 18 to 19 cause I took Defensive Stance.

The water trickles calmly as the party gathers themselves. Beetle searches the fallen redbrands for any signs on coins or items.
Beetle Perception (Wisdom) Roll: 21
Unable to find anything of any great worth he heads off to the north west room to help out Brots as the bonfire dies down.
