The dark god of the endless tunnels and caverns beneath Exandria, the Crawling King acts as patron to torturers, slavers, and jailers across the realm. His tears of pain and anger carved the pathways under the world, and his realm of imprisonment is a network of deadly caves and manacles where few return. Those who rob others of their freedom offer prayers to him in cellars and other subterranean domains, and other creatures who live in the darkness below worship him and seek his guidance.
The Dawnfather and the Everlight defeated the Crawling King during the Calamity by drawing their nemesis above ground. The Dawnfather pierced his body with 10,000 lances of sunlight, and the Everlight imprisoned him within her serene rays. The tears of suffering and rage the Crawling King shed burned through Exandria, and his faithful fled into these tunnels to escape their enemies’ holy light.
The Crawling king is largely rendered as a swollen, malformed worm that slithers through the dark below, a screaming, hairless human head at the helm with three arms carving through the lightless rock.
Commandments of the Crawling King
Seek and exalt places where no light touches.
Revel in the pain you inflict upon others, and relish the pain you suffer yourself as an offering to the Crawling King.
Imprison those who cannot resist you, and drag all life into the darkness.

“No sense waisting the gold and silver,” says Curascious. “Should take them and put them to use. May I read that?” He continues, indicating the scroll.
Curascious recognizes it immediately, but it shouldn't be here. Not in Trunau! It is the sign of the Clasp. The Clasp is a thieves guild.
The Clasp is a 200-year-old guild of thieves, assassins, black merchants, and contract dealers built upon the ruins of the old Winksman Thieves Guild founded under the rule of Drassig in Tal'Dorei, it operates on a relatively amoral code of honor and respect. Their influence is easily enforced, as most people know of the dangerous myths surrounding them, and they maintain an extremely high success rate on contracts taken.
Also, the name Raishan is the Diseased Deceiver a now dead green dragon. The lair spoke of is rumored to be somewhere in the Stormpoint Mountains that loom over Trunau. The dragon was killed by Vox Machina a couple years ago. The dragon's lair though is said to be filled with treasure and as of yet, unfound.
Herd pipes in, "I've been asleep for a while - I'm not sure I would be of much help." Then, observing Mozu's actions, he comments, "Thank you, Mr. Mozu of Worms, for carrying the dagger and gold for the group."
This once-grand flagstone hall is filled with statues of different celestial creatures in every corner. An old fire pit in the center of the room is bordered on all sides by moth-eaten bedrolls, while shovels, picks, and other digging equipment lie strewn about a shallow tunnel bored into the northeastern wall. The ceiling above the tunnel has collapsed, leaving a hole open to the sky above a pile of burnt rubble.

”Odd—equipment, no workers. Was the cleric one of them? Where have the rest gone? What happened here?
Curascious investigates the scene, trying to deduce any clues as to what happened to the owners of these bedrolls and tools. Investigation 25, if Crawley is able to help here’s the advantage: 24
Curascious is able to tell through his thorough investigation determines that this place was likely used in the last week. Maybe the ceiling collapsed due to the digging. The collapse didn't kill the cleric however. His throat was cut.
"Dis one musta been squished and started squealing so dey cutted 'im to be quiets" Tith suddenly realizes something "oi, dem orcses cheating digging a tunnel like dis! Hurmph, dis why Tith is bestest ever 'e dont need no cheats to beats!" He seems legitimately offended. It's also clear that Tith doesn't get the advanced tactics of warfare.
The body is wearing chainmail and appears to be a cleric based on the holy symbol.
