Fope, why don’t you use your strong shepherding survival skills to quickly see if there is anything of value to to scavenge from those dead wolves. Then we can hopefully back out of here without any further carnage.
Fope, I admire your enthusiasm as well as your optimism. What you have done with your pup there is most impressive. On the other hand, dark has set in, and I believe that we still have an hour or two left to travel before we reach relative safety. I do not understand how or when you intend to tame one of these wild beasts. The much more likely situation is that they will soon be attacking us again. My arcane energy is much depleted from our fight with them so far. Kif has taken a serious beating, and, I believe, our new friend Lucento has expended many of his heals as well. We must go...now.
Barnaby motions the others forwards and then begins walking quickly while keeping a close eye on the remaining wolves.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Barnaby is right, lad, a pup may be able to get by on scraps and such, but one of those things eats about a halfling's weight in fresh meat every day, Let's move on from here and hope they don't come after us
Besides, I'm not sure if others like the good count can't see through their eyes, like we were watched when we got to this valley
It’s already gone as far as it can go this turn. On your next turn it can go another 20 feet.
Føpé will stand up, disengage, and as a bonus action, dash away.
I asked if it had any gas left... 😕
The remaining wolves stand shoulder to shoulder and growl at the party. They do not chase, and they do not run away. They snarl and growl.
Magical movement is the only kind of movement it gets. But if, for flavor's sake, you want to "carry" it for occasional periods, that's fine.
It is a very potent spell already. I am inclined not to house rule it to make it moreso.
Everybody is up. The wolves are glaring at you, growling and snarling, but they have moved no closer.
Føpé will take out some rope and attempt to form a lasso. Survival: 11
Kif will ready an attack if they charge us 19 damage 14
Føpé, what do you think you're doing with that rope?

We’re not exactly in turn order, but I’ll stop you guys if something happens. Keep doing what you want, and go slowly.
Ireena glares balefully at Fope.
It goes slowly. If you want to take two minutes, you can. If something happens during those two minutes I’ll let you stop.
Kif is going to toss a rock in their direction (not really trying to hit them) and yell
Go on, get out of here you mangy mutts or we'll carve you up too, git!! and wave his hands
They watch the stone fall, but they're just standing there. Hackles raised, and glaring at you.
Everybody make a Perception check.
If you get a 20 or higher, read this:
You hear something, or some things, moving in the trees nearby. Not very close. But not very far, either.
Barnaby, I want to catch one! What a fearsome ally we'll be able to make it.
