Somewhere in the Inn in a bed Misalyk mutters to himself in his sleep: "Excuse me... we ran away with style. Panic is for people who don't have hair like mine." he then turns over and continues snoring.

Yes, yes. Take your full rest uninterrupted. Curiously, the sun once again does not shine. It’s drizzling a bit, and you realize that autumn is getting later.
You had planned on calling on Lord Von Holt. Feel free to make other plans as well. Also, Barnaby did not get much more than a grunt in response to his claim about missing children. Might be something to escalate, if you want. Or not.
OK boys, do we want to see if we can find Lord Von Holt? I wonder how many pastry junkies are going to be lining up for the cart that never comes. I really think that after we find LVH is in town and we met with him we should check in with Ireena.....winter is not far off and it would be good to get her to safety and see If we can't move this forward, even though a soiree with the Count might just do that , with or without Ireena (preferably without...I like to think she has some protection in the church
You don't have any trouble finding Lord Von Holt's home, based on the description you received the night before. As you approach this two-story home overlooking the town square - neat and sturdy, but not gaudy - you see it has a small attached stable. This would be, assuming this stable is occupied, only the second horse you've seen. The Wizard of Wines, of course, had the horse to pull the cart.
Assuming you approach the door and use the heavy brass knocker, Lord Von Holt himself soon responds and opens the door himself. Gentlemen! He greets with you with a friendly bow and shows you in. I was not expecting to see you again so soon! He shows you to a sitting room near the front door. There are books (at a glance, none of any particular interest), a fireplace, and oil paintings on the wall. He gestures for you to sit. Are you hungry? So, did you look after the witches? Do tell.
Barnaby: Kif, don't forget the werewolves. Your Lordship, no sooner had we rescued the children from the witches then they were absconded with by some lupine devils. It happened much like in the prelude to Verstadt's Shame and Love in the Wolfen World. We were able to track them back to the creatures' den, but there we suffered a rather overwhelming defeat in which Chubs here nearly lost his tether to this mortal plane. I reported it to the town guards so that they could muster a troop of well trained soldiers to rescue the children, but they gave me the hairy eyeball like I had a case of fouled gland corpuscles. I truly do not understand this place.
Hmm, yes. Werewolves. They do like to prey on the weak. As for the town guard, I do not think the Burgomaster would want his precious town guard running into the forest outside the walls. No, no.
As for you, Chubs. You are recovered? He looks over Chubs. Excellent. Let me see about the eggs.
Lord Von Holt steps out and you hear him walk toward the back of the house, where the kitchen likely sits. Then you hear him walking back up the hall, and up the stairs. There's some rumbling upstairs, for just a few minutes, and he returns. Well, gentlemen, I thank you for your service to the community of Vallaki and to all of Barovia. Please take this as a token of my gratitude. He reaches across to Chubs, and offers him a small tin flask, covered in runes. You will find that it will rejuvenate your spirits, and maybe keep you more firmly connected to the, ah, tethered to this mortal plane. As Master Barnaby says. You have a Flask of Healing, which operates as a 1x day potion of cure light wounds. Lord Von Holt is not, apparently, aware of the coincidence that he's given this item to a character who already has a drinking vessel that does not empty.
So, what's next for your brave troop? For better and for worse, I'm afraid I don't have anything terribly dangerous to ask you to do at the moment.
"Well, we could always try the werewolves again solo. After all a good flask is really all one needs to face danger like that I'm sure.... " Misalyk is trying to stay to the background but is irritated by the reminder of the Burgomaster's fear.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Chubs bows low over his belly in appreciation upon receiving the gift, Your Graciousness. He then takes a moment to look over the flask and admire its beauty. Do the runes mean anything to him? I figure that that's either arcana, investigation, or religion which all have the same bonus for him: 10 He then looks at Von Holt out of the corner of his eye, and the moment he believes that he is not being directly observed, grinning ear to ear, he pours a few drops from the flask to his stein to see what ale made from magic potion juice tastes like.
Barnaby: Mmmyes, perhaps with a good night's rest and a bit of a plan in place we could take on the wolves. Hmm.
How far out is the Baron's invitation to dinner and how far do we have to travel to get there?
Might your lordship have extra tools, or potions or unguents that may aid us?
(soto voce, intended only for Barnaby) You know Barnaby, I'm pretty sure I'd rather fight werewolves than have tea with the Count
Lord Von Holt, how do you stand with the Count, we have met him a few times. We have met him a few times and he certainly seems to have the welfare of his people as he sees it in mind
The Count? Oh, I see him rarely. Or, I should say, I used to see him rarely. He is not to be trifled with. Quite powerful. But I do not cross him, and for that reason I suppose, he leaves me be. I don't know that I interest him much, anymore.
How does he treat you? What do you mean about the "welfare of his people"?

Blue: :D
So does dawn break in a soggy wet gassing like we expect in this grim land?

Chubs and Barnaby are on board for LVH visit.
Portent: 6, 10
Misalyk is very bleary and tired but readily agrees to visit Lord Von Holt.

Chubs wipes the foam from his upper lip. My Lord, what a marvelous set of knockers you've got.

Chubs gets inspiration!
edit: According to the OP, everyone but Barnaby already had it. How could you all almost die, with everyone carrying around that ace up the sleeve?
(Inspiration doesn't help when your weapon doesn't hurt them)
I was just running away due to peer pressure
Hello sir, perhaps a bit of a breakfast would be welcome, we did indeed meet the witches and in fact, dealt with the mill situation
Kif delivers an abridged synopsis of the events of the previous day, leaving out the werewolf encounter that sent us running
Might you have any eggs, perhaps even a simple scramble?

That might be possible, indeed, perhaps if we had extra fortification beyond a flask or two...
