Tyena eyes the flail after making a few notes on a pad she's been holding. "Hand over the flail," she says, holding her hand out. "You'll get it back after the Watch has a chance to look at it."
we are alone correct? out of sight of the others amd the guards? I had assumed in the captain's quarters or something while everyone else was off the ship?
FWIW, I had assumed we were to stay on the ship, perhaps with the guards to enforce that, until all the interviews were done. Jambiya would spend her time not in the interview at the bow trying to coax the little dragon out.

OOC: The interviews are happening below deck for privacy while everyone else is waiting on the dock under the watchful eye of the three City Watch.
Anafrey only:
OOC2: I've changed my mind concerning my last post. Do over.
Tyena eyes the flail after making a few notes on a pad she's been holding. "Wait here, please." She turns and climbs the steps above deck.
OOC3: Decide right now whether you wait or not. You're below deck, so there's not any way to exit except up the stairs to the upper deck. Before you keep reading, decide what you're going to do because your choice may change everything below, but I don't want what is written below to affect your choice. If you were going to try to escape, you could decide to climb the ladder and sneak away (basically, jump off the other side of the ship). You'd need to roll two stealth rolls. Or you could try to hide below deck. That would also require a stealth roll.
OOC4: There's a chance this will change according to what Anafrey decides above, so Wreckzors needs to be the next to post to let me know. Well, if you want to post some RP while this is going on, that's fine.
Tyena appears on deck without Anafrey and calls down, "Mister Ebokk, will you please join us?"
Ebokk looks at the others with surprise before walking up the plank and disappearing with Tyena back below deck.
Anafrey only:
Tyena, followed by Ebokk, descends the stairs. The three of you form a triangle. "I'm not exactly sure what is going on between you and the others," she says to you, "but even in speaking with me, one of the others tried to convince me to take the weapon from you," she says. She looks at Ebokk, "You explained to me the arrangement you made with the four adventurers — that they could keep what treasure they found. Is that right?" Ebokk confirms the arrangement. "To your knowledge, was this weapon found during the time of their employment?" Ebokk says the flail was on his father's corpse's lap when they found him, that Anafrey expressed an interest in keeping the flail, and he heard no one voice an opinion otherwise. "Have you witnessed some of the others attempting to take the flail from her?" Tyena asks the dwarf. At this point, Ebokk looks worried. He looks back and forth between you and Tyena and finally says he hasn't noticed any attempted theft. He starts eyeing you and subtly sniffing the air around you. "Were there any witnesses? Besides the three accused?" Tyena asks you. You say that Gramps witnessed it, so Tyena takes Ebokk back up top, again leaving you alone.
OOC5: Do you continue to wait? Decide right now.
Tyena appears again after a few minutes, Ebokk in tow. As Ebokk descends the plank, Tyena asks Gramps to join them. The old sailor obeys, following the woman below deck.
Anafrey only:
Tyena, now followed by Gramps, descends the stairs. Once again, a triangle is formed by the three individuals. She turns to Gramps and asks, "Gramps, have you witnessed anyone trying to take this woman's flail?"
Gramps's look of politeness changes to a look of shock and then indulgence. "Well, now, there was a little disagreement about it earlier. Miss Jambiya and the halfling were concerned about it, and the lady here did get upset. Some words I'm sure she didn't mean were said —"
"Concerned about it?" Tyena interrupts.
"I didn't hear everything. I really only paid attention when the lady here started yelling about the others trying to steal her new flail. I'm sure it's all because we're tired. It's been quite a bad day, if I do say so myself. The bosun trying to mutiny. The twins getting killed. In self defense," the old sailor says quickly.
"Thank you, Gramps," Tyena says, cutting off the old man again. "You can return to the dock." Gramps doesn't look happy about the exchange, but he nods and climbs the stairs to the upper deck. Tyena looks at you. "We will escort your party off the dock. After that, you're on your own as far as I'm concerned. If you feel your personal property is in danger, you can speak with the City Watch about it yourself. It will be their problem once you're off the ship."
OOC6: Any response before you leave the ship with Tyena?
Gramps appears and returns to the dock looking concerned. "She just asked me about the flail," he replies to the party's questions. "The lady there — your friend — says you were trying to steal it. I think Tyena's trying to figure out if it's true. I told her it seemed like a big misunderstanding, but I'm not sure who she'll believe."
"We're not trying to steal it," Jambiya says. "We're just trying to get her away from it! I think it's turned her bad, it may be what turned Ebokk's father into a pirate! She's never been this bloodthirsty, in all the time I've known her." She stops to think a moment. "But, maybe it's not the flail. Was there anything else she took from the treasure? I wasn't... um, I was not really around when you guys split it up."

The moment she leaves out the door, Anafrey would quietly open the door behind her and look around before closing the door and returning to the room. "Shit.." She would whisper under her breath before sitting back down... "a window would be nice right about now..." She would whisper before sitting back down in her chair, trying to relax while leaving her hand securly on the flail.
Jambiya fidgets nervously. "Should we be worried about Tyena? I don't want Anafrey to hurt her." She looks up at the boat from where she is pacing on the docks.

"All I want is to get off this boat and let you get back to your duties" Anafrey would reply to with a nod Tyena. "I hope yer beard jewelry was worth it captain... " She would say as she gave the dwarf a friendly slap on the shoulder before moving towards the door and back up on to the deck.
Anafrey, Tyena, and Gramps appear on deck and disembark. Tyena points toward the Nightshade. "Gramps and Scrub, finishing cleaning up. Once everything is ship shape, report to the office." She looks at Ebokk as the sailors return to the ship. "You'll be in Waterdeep for a while? We may have a few more questions for you." Ebokk says he will be at the address on the paperwork. "Then, I think that's everything. We'll escort you to your carriage."
"I have a carriage waiting," Ebokk says to the party a bit needlessly. "You are welcome to stay at mother's until you're ready to return home. At least come for supper. She'll, er, want to hear a report."
"Um, okay." Jambiya grabs her stuff, and with one more searching look at the masts of the ship, climbs into the carriage. "Um, everything okay, Anafrey?" she asks.
LOL — This turned out better than I'd expected. OK, everyone roll a d20, please. I'll add the appropriate modifiers.
Jambiya’s lucky d20! Can she be inspired by Erric’s ring? I’m not sure how that works. Anyway, here’s a d20: 14
