"It'll probably come to that. Wouldn't hurt to ask him a question or two about what's really going on when he wakes up. But if you think that's too dangerous, we can, well, you know."Erric draws a finger across his neck.
He' stops his soft singing when Maldorn alerts him to the clacking sound. He tries his best to figure out what it is. Perception: 4
He'll also call up Jack at the end of the rest for more torch duty, if needed. He's ready to talk to Thrakk if he wakes up, or help put him down if the group wants to, or head along to the rest of the cave and find out about the clacking sound. "We're looking for something that will help Anafrey, right? Still no sign of anything."
Jambiya, you walk to the mouth of the west cave and use your lights to investigate further. The tunnel appears to meander more or less west between 20 and 40 feet before ending.
Now in the west tunnel with Jambiya, Maldorn says: "I'm pretty sure the sound came from this direction... Hmm. There are a couple things I can try. First, let me see what I feel."
The old ranger starts feeling up the walls, seeing if he finds anything of interest while listening to the sound he heard earlier in case its direction gives him any clues.
If that strategy fails, Maldorn will then ask Sagitta for some help. He'll let the snake slither and fly about and ask that he specifically relies on his blindsight to find a way deeper into this tunnel.
(OOC: Ah, of course. I have to pay for those recent crits...)
Erric looks up to the ceiling, trying to see any possible source for Maldorn's odd clanging he apparently heard. He pauses and listens for more clanging, eyes searching around for anything odd. Jack takes the torch around the whole of the cave, looking for anything.
If really nothing, Erric will try playing more music, wondering if Maldorn just mistook something Erric was playing for a clanging sound.
Sagitta flies to the end of the tunnel, turns left and disappears for a few seconds, then is seen flying from left to right, and again disappears for a few seconds. The flying snake then flies back to Maldorn. Where did the snake go when it was out of sight?
If Erric notices this, he will walk to the end of the tunnel, and looks to the left, torch-bearing Jack leading the way. He should coordinate with the group before he walks over, but he's Erric.

Erric turns back to the group. "Two more paths. Ready?"He pauses and listens for clacking. And looks for anything on the ground -- water droplets, scuffs, smears, footprints, items. (Perception: 18)

(He also packs up Thrakk's stuff, distributing anything anyone wants.)
"I won't stand in your way." Maldorn tells Anafrey, "but my vote is with Erric. We might still get an answer or two out of this old orc."
"Either way, we lost our guide. Should we move toward the clacking sound? I'd prefer if we move fast, as my tobacco-honed senses won't last forever."
Erric, you listen and listen, but don't hear anything ... or your attention is diverted before it happens again ... one of the two.
Jambiya looks up at the noise Maldorn points out. "Let's leave him tied up and go investigate," she says, standing up and calling up her fairy lights.

Did the grimlocks seem to live in this cave? Or spend any real time in there, based on what we see on the floor, in alcoves, etc?
It looks like they've spent much time here based on the mess.
Before following Jambiya, Maldorn makes sure some of the rope/bedding used to tie down the orc passes over his mouth as well.
Erric nods to Maldorn as he gags the orc, and follows them into the tunnel, looking closely at walls and rocks, not wanting to be surprised again.
"Dead end?" Jambiya asks. "Maybe Thrakk, or whoever is controlling him, led us here just to try to get us killed?"

Can Erric help?
If Erric can help, here's a second roll in the spoiler:
-> Investigation: 5
OOC: Oh well, let's hope Sagitta finds something... Should I roll a separate investigate for the winged snake? if so:
-> Investigation: 4
"I guess we should probably let him answer some questions first..." Anafrey would acknowlege with a frown.

The end of the tunnel is a T junction, more tunnel heading both left and right.
