Unseen servant doesn't require concentration. How about that. It's only been about 15 minutes, so Jack's still around. Let's assume Erric's been bringing him along.
Erric can tell that Jack is doing what he's been told to do, but nothing is happening.
A point of clarification (just in case it helps): This is a relief, not a painting. It's a kind of flat-ish 3D carving.
Okay, with Jack not causing anything to happen, he'll fire off that sling pellet. Not looking to damage it necessarily, but just trying to make an impact, see if anything happens.
If there's no "response" then Erric steps into the room to about the middle, looking at the ceiling, floor, walls, trying to find anything at all they missed from the doorway. He readies a vicious mockery in case anything jumps out at him or does something scary.
If there's still nothing, he begins playing idly on his lute. He asks the group, "so, what now?"
When nothing leaps out or burns us, Jambiya moves forward again, to stand with Erric in the middle of the room, looking at the relief.
"Raman goes first, and the plaque brings him up first, slaying the manticore... so maybe we have to do something about it first?" She will approach the relief and examine the manticore depiction carefully, looking for seams, holes, or anything that might indicate some sort of interaction is possible.

"Or..." Jambiya says, "Six spikes fly out of these holes, like a manticore shoots spikes from its tail." She considers. "Either way, jamming the holes with something seems like a good plan." She will assist in cramming something (Maldorn's arrows?) into the six holes.
If nothing untoward happens, she will go do a similar investigation of the peryton part of the relief. As she works, she says quietly, "These are fearsome monsters, if the stories I've heard are to be believed. These guys must have been quite the heroes. Or the pictures are overblown."

Erric looks closer at the disturbingly human-like face of the relief. And the scary-looking tail spikes. Poking and prodding for something that might detach and be able to go into the holes. Then he looks at the plaque to see if anything's hidden under it. He's looking for anything that moves.
Maldorn waits until everyone is clear of the manticore holes, stands by the side of the relief, and tries to insert an arrow in one of the holes. The idea is that no one is in the direct path of the holes should something come straight out of them. If it makes a difference, and assuming the holes are arranged like the pips on the number six of a regular die, Maldorn starts by inserting an arrow in the hole in the second row, second column of the arrangement. If he needs to roll for anything, he’ll take Jambiya’s help.
Jambiya is happy to stick around and Help, while trying to stay out of the immediate path of anything that might spring out of the holes. Also, for good measure, she holds her breath while he begins to poke at it with his arrow.

The arrow head, though able to enter part way, does not at all fill the diameter of the hole. Turning the arrow around, the fletching does not prohibit the arrow from being inserted backward, but, again, the hole still seems largely empty due to the small diameter of the arrow's shaft. Erric steps up and analyzes other parts of the relief in search of something he can break off and use to fill the holes. The relief is done so that none of the manticore is removable. It's really very well done to look alive while being mostly flat. It dawns on him, however, that he brought with him several sticks and stones from outside of the cave mouth. He begins drawing out stones and measuring the diameter of his sticks and between the two of them, manages to block all six holes (let's say you're down one stick and three rocks). Feeling accomplished, the halfling steps back. A moment passes. Nothing happens. But then Jambiya, who has been looking over the relief of the peryton notices that the creature's left antler looks askew.
(OOC: Oh! Okay then! Also, anything under the plaque?)
"...Should I put sticks and stones in the holes? Will that wake it up? Or keep it asleep?" Erric says, looking at the reliefs and waiting for them to come alive. If he doesn't notice the antler, he'll just be looking for any sign of life, readying a vicious mockery. If he does notice it, or if Jambiya tells the group, he'll ask if it moved since they came in or if it was already like that. He's focusing on the manticore though, keeping with the Raman first motif, as any fan of narrative would do.
Jambiya does tell the others about the antler. “Once you’ve blocked those holes we should all back up and have Jack try to move the antler.” She will then back up to a far corner (back left as we face the relief) and hold her breath again.

Ebokk will walk into the room to stand in the middle, watching the painting at first but not really thinking much harm can come from a painting.
They really like showing off dont they.
He looks around to another wall Maybe we should make our own painting some day.

Maldorn is still afraid of being burned by surprise again. He stays in his corner with an arrow ready.
The pellet hits the relief and bounces off, coming to rest on the floor.

OOC: To clarify, is there an exit in this room apart from the path we used to enter?

Erric, nothing you have done so far as garnered any reaction from the vault or anything in it.
Lerus, the only point of entry or exit you are aware of is the way you entered.
Jambiya, as you examine the manticore depiction, you discover six narrow holes in its body.
If Erric notices the holes, he says, "so do we put something in the holes? Or does something come out of them?"
OOC: Assuming Jambiya shares the info.
Maldorn suggests: "He slayed the manticore. Here, take six of my arrows. One in each hole should mimic the slaying."
