Milo shakes his head in response to Erric's question. "They leave in the morning, but they pay to keep the room closed. It sounds like they pay Sergor quite a sum; he doesn't let anyone go in there even when Largo and his boys are gone."
"Forgive me, I seem to have forgotten what their shop is... is it a mortuary? Piffernackle and Sons, that one over there? Or do I have it mixed up..."Erric says, looking across the square, scratching his head.

"Well, that's not suspicious at all," Jambiya says. "We need to find a way in to that room, but maybe we can find something to help us in their shop?"

Maldorn turns to Milo: "Are you suggesting our good friend Erric here pretends he has passed away so we can "hire" the gnomes to prepare his body for burial just so he can infiltrate their domicile and open the door from within for the rest of us?"
"Very risky," shook his head Aseid, "what if they check whether or not the person is alive? Or treat the bodies in some way that would kill a living? We should not do it. Maybe during the daytime, when gnomes are not there we can somehow sneak inside the room in the inn? Milo, would you help us to do it? I'm afraid the owner does not like us much."
Jambiya stares at Maldorn, then nods along to Aseid’s comment. “That would never work, Maldorn. I think maybe you’ve heard too many of my fathers’ tall tales. I was thinking we should… um, let ourselves in while they are at the tavern.”

"We could do both! Let ourselves into the mortuary at night while they are in the tavern, and into the tavern if there's a window while they work in the daytime,"Erric says.
"Very well." Maldorn says silently blaming Seldom for filling his had with wondrous tales. "Mr. Nile, could you point to the window that would lead tp the gaming room in the tavern? Jambiya, how about you set a date between the bouncer and the server so they are conveniently busy whenever we attempt our infiltration?"
Milo takes a step back, raising his hands in front of himself defensively. "Whoa, I'm not going to help you break into anywhere. These are my friends." He pauses and gives a little shrug. "Well, maybe just my neighbors." He turns walks back his front door, then turns and leans against the doorframe. "I want to know what's going on as much as it seems you want to know, but I'm not getting involved."

"You want us to to clear the area of nefarious monsters but is not willing to help" Maldorn says in a non aggressive manner. Disappointed, he then asks: "You were willing to stick your nose in our business, but not the gnomes?! They are the ones with things to hide. We are trying to do the right thing here."
Just because a player rolls a natural 20 doesn't mean they get to bend reality. Milo is not going to join the party. However, to reward your sweet, sweet roll, I will give you three questions. As you are progressing, you can ask Milo these questions as if you asked them prior to leaving his presence. The questions could be to gain information or they could be requests. But he always can refuse to answer or cooperate.
Jambiya rubs her hands. "Well, then. It is day, and day means the gnomes are at their place of business. So, we should investigate the back room. Ideas for how to get in? I don't know that distracting Geth with romance will work, he's dumber than a rock when it comes to that."

Three questions for Milo, hoping he is seeing us in a slightly better light:
"Can you kindly point out the window that leads to the game room? I know you said no once but you can agree we are trying to do the right thing here, right?"
"What time of day would there be the least amount of people inside?"
"Do you know anything about the metal rod the gnomes placed at the top of the ruin, or the gargoyles protecting it?"
Erric nods, and says, “of course I can try! are we doing this now? I can either try to befriend him if he’s a music lover, or make him an offer he can’t refuse to perhaps go check out something across town and he’d be gone for a while. But maybe the window isn’t close by to where he’s posted, and we don’t even need to try?”
"Actually, gargoyles were attacking the gnome. Hard to say if they wanted the rod to be taken down or left alone. But it is the fact, that gnome's activity attracts the monsters."
