OOC: "Sudden but inevitable betrayal"? "It will come."? Whatever are you all talking about?
DM rollz: 1517
Erric and Jambiya are otherwise distracted, but Maldorn and Anafrey, you notice Thrakk moving AWAY from the cave, sliding along the wall toward Ebokk. Do you do anything about it? And by that, I mean do you care? And if you do, do you try to stop him?
With the help of Jambiya's low light, you can see the large shadows are large rocks. Fairly nondescript ones, too. And, no, Erric, you don't hear anything in the cave. You heard Thrakk complaining, and then a little bit of an exchange between the orc and Maldorn, but nothing from the direction of the cave. And then Jambiya was talking to you. Ah, Jambiya. Her voice is so beautiful. It's like a summer's breeze blowing through the trees accompanied by songbirds. She was so close, you actually felt her breath a little bit on the back of your neck. You might recover in a couple of seconds.
Jambiya quirks an eyebrow at Erric, oblivious of Thrakk’s attempted exit. “What are you?” She backs up a step, worried she’s somehow tickling Erric and distracting him. She pops the other three lights into existence, and sends them around the cave, lighting up the shadows where things might be hiding, sending one to the ceiling.

(Is Erric incapacitated at all? Tried to roll with what I was given, but I'm not sure if he's in some kind of altered state, or just the canon crush he has on Jambiya...)
Not incapacitated. I just wanted Erric and Jambiya distracted at the moment for ... reasons. :) If you want to blow off my storytelling, I won't complain. I'll give Anafrey until the end of the day to appear and react to Maldorn's post.
Anafrey would huff through her nose and grip the handle of her flail with one hand while tossing her braided white hair over her shoulder with the other. "Where are you going friend?" She would ask as she moves quickly towards the orc before grabbing his arm. "Are you afraid? Here... How about I keep you company then.." She would say as she grabs his arm and attempts to walk beside him down the tunnel towards the curve.
Thrakk stops and looks down at Anafrey. By the faint glow of Jambiya's new orbs, the woman can hardly make out anything more than the orc's silhouette. After a couple heartbeats, he says, "That's fine," and allows her to accompany him.
Ebokk is confused, but doesn't stand in the way of Thrakk and Anafrey moving to the back of the line.
Jambiya and Erric, you're looking everywhere you can from the mouth of the tunnel into the cave, and you see nothing of any interest. Rocks. Dirt. Cave stuff.
Maldorn smiles as Anafrey catches Thrakk: "Icy, I think our orcish friend was volunteering to be the first to walk into the room ahead. Care to bring him forward?"
"There's nothing to be afraid of," Jambiya says, stepping out into the cave. She sends her lights out to illuminate as much of the cave as possible. If nothing jumps out at her, she'll go join Jack and the torch in the middle.

(OOC: I was trying to escort thrak to the front of the group... walking either just a step behind him or side by side with him in front of the party)
The curve is behind the party, not in front, so I thought you were walking with him toward the back. Just making sure I understand what's going on before I post a reaction. He was moving toward the back of the line. Anafrey stopped him. As he continues moving toward the back, what happens?
Maldorn was nudging Anafrey to bring him towards the front of the line, and possibly into the room he was clearly trying to avoid going into. Maldorn really wants him to be the first one into that room, though it sounds like Jambiya might have beaten him to it.

Thrakk attempts to pull his wrist out of Anafrey's grip, but her fingers do not give. He pulls a second time, but he is stuck. His eyes dart toward the front of the line where Jambiya is venturing into the cave. "There's nothing to be afraid of," she is saying. He looks back at Anafrey and smiles.
Cue the inevitable betrayal (Round 1, players are surprised).
A couple of separate things happen at once.
First, Thrakk raises his war pick and attempts to bring it down on Anafrey's head. (war pick attack: 17, damage: 7 non-lethal piercing damage) The huntress attempts to avoid the blow, feeling the orc shifting his weight through their physical contact. She is able to avoid most of it, but the weapon still glances off her shoulder, doing a little damage.
Secondly, six gray-skinned, eyeless humanoids spring out from behind six of the larger rocks in the cave. They each wield a handcrafted axe made of stone and bone. Four are upon Jambiya before she can react. (stone handaxe attack #1: 14, damage: 6 non-lethal slashing damage; stone handaxe attack #2: 18, damage: 6 non-lethal slashing damage; stone handaxe attack #3: 24, damage: 4 non-lethal slashing damage; stone handaxe attack #4: 8, damage: 4 non-lethal slashing damage) In the end, three of the four pummel the little goblin girl with the sides of their axes.
Jambiya, I can't find how far back you cast false life. If it's still active, you've still got a little hp left. If not, you're unconscious, but stable as all the damage was non-lethal. If you were knocked unconscious with the third attack, the fourth would have been made at Erric, but it misses either way.

Maldorn grimaces and calls for Anafrey: "Icy, grab the orc. He knows something and is trying to sneak away."
The old ranger will help Anafrey once she pounces on Thrakk.
“Jambiya, oh Jambiya. That tickles! You’ve a peculiar sense of timing but...” Erric says, turning around with a surprised smile.

(OOC: Sorry, I must have read it wrong. I wanted anafrey and Thrak at the front of the party.)
When Anafrey attempts to pull Thrakk toward the front of the line, he fights her grip. Anafrey, make an athletic check to hold onto the orc.
