Maldorn chooses to rely on the goodberries no more than twice while traveling, so he uses up 6 rations in total.
The ranger is happy to finally find a fletcher willing to work with his unusual materials. So happy, in fact, that he pays in advance the total sum of 9 silver pieces. He promises to come back the next morning.
At the Fallen Tower, Maldorn enjoys his evening as most of the patrons in the tavern do. Erric's music is especially enjoyable tonight. The recent events with Thrakk still bother him a bit and he can't help but keep an eye out for any signs of another orc trying to bamboozle them, but he convinces himself that the chances that these folks have fallen prey to mind flayers is almost null. As such, he relaxes a bit.
When morning comes, Maldorn hopes that Erric's earned goodwill is enough to cover the party's breakfast as well. He asks if anyone in the group wants to go visit the fletcher with him. He makes sure to thank both Anafrey and Erric with a hardy handshake and a smile for their help finding this specialist the previous day. For good measure, he thanks Jambiya too, and then finds his way to that store. He collects his new arrows and any left over feathers (since he had a pile of them) and asks the elven lady: "Splendid work! Do you know if I can take these wonderful custom arrows anywhere in the city where they could be enchanted?" The old man is as happy as a kid in a candy shop.
(OOC: So other than save me from the flail, does the necklace give any other magical abilities? I know there are a lot of necklaces that this could be a variation of when I was looking through the magic items list but if it is just a cool necklace that saved me from the flail that is good too :D)
Anafrey would wake up feeling good... it was the first bath she had had in quite a while and the first drink of alcohol she had had in quite some time too.
Jambiya will also buy some rations, perhaps a week's worth, to supplement the berries, which even she admits are unfulfilling after the third day. Then eat however many we think we need during the trip. She'll also use Nature and some conversations with local animals to get good greens and the like to supplement the meals on the road.
At the Fallen Tower, she settles in pretty well, so long as they have a good Dwarven ale. She's ready to give any creature the benefit of the doubt, even orcs, though the leash is short. Still, these are more drunk people thank wild orcs, so she feels pretty comfortable, and even slips into some of her regular serving girl patois. She drinks more than she should, and wakes feeling less well than Anafrey does. Breakfast not sounding good, she about falls asleep in a morning bath, but manages to not drown when Snap tugs hard on her hair.
Finally, she is ready to go, if still a little bleary.

Erric truly enjoys his opportunity to play music and entertain even this rowdy group of orcs. He definitely uses his enthralling performance feature on any of 4 people who fail a WIS 14 save (targeting Vagdru and any of the wealthier-looking customers). He thanks everyone for the free drinks, food, and rooms, and encourages any of his new fans to invest in his budding musical career in the form of monetary contributions, or in Vagdru's case, food and drink for the road.
He also enjoys a luxurious bath the next morning. When Maldorn invites him along to the fletchery, he joins him, and asks if they have any particularly notable hand crossbow bolts.
He brings along any road food he'd managed to bamboozle out of Vagdru, and splits it up among the party, and then buys a few more day's rations to supplement the goodberries.
"So, Jambiya, what do you think Grumpy Pops will say when you bring him back his boot? You can answer after your headache's gone."Erric says as they prepare to hit the road.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anafrey, as far as you can tell, the necklace is a strong charm of Marthammor Duin's. It doesn't seem to have any magical enchantments placed upon it.
Maldorn, the elf frowns when you ask about enchantments. She apologizes and says she doesn't know of anyone who does that sort of thing.
Erric, Vagdru is a tough nut. While he is happy for you to make and spend your tips, he doesn't budge when it comes to handouts. Luckily, many of the patrons are freer with their purses, and you make enough to have an enjoyable evening, a nice stay overnight, a nice breakfast for all four, and you have 4 cp and 4 sp left over. As for crossbow bolts, the fletcher has a number available to buy. (Make your purchases through your equipment tab. Rations are easy enough to buy as well.)
Anafrey:
Overnight at the Fallen Tower, you have another dream where you find yourself walking along the straight road through the meadow of tall grasses. The thin dwarf is there, walking companionably beside you. "Have you decided to give up on Anin, then? You keep him isolated and alone." You reply that you are confused as to how to resurrect him. The dwarf chuckles. "I do not expect you to resurrect him, though that would be a noble quest. He does not need a body to live. He can live through you." He somehow touches, yet doesn't touch the necklace around your neck. "This will protect you. You found it for this very purpose. So long as you wear it, Anin cannot control you. In fact, if you can gain his trust, he may aid you." The dwarf pauses as the two of you walk. "At least think about it." The dream fades as your eyes flutter open in the dark of the room. You reach up and touch the emblem of Marthammor Duin. Then, turning over, you fall back to sleep.
Either at the Fallen Tower or somewhere along the street, Maldorn goes about asking for estimates of a trip to Seldom Spring from Neverwinter. How long would it take?
When Anafrey wakes up she would grasp her new amulet tightly. Looking towards the bedroll she could feel herself begin to sweat as she considers what the dwarf in her dream had said. Slowly she would get out of her bedroll and untie the bedding.. and then... very carefully... move to pick up the flail. "Hello Anin." She would whisper as her hand grips the handle once more...
When Anafrey comes down to breakfast she would be wearing the flail on her hip while trying to not draw attention to it. When She sits down to eat breakfast with them she would lean forward across the table and look towards her companions. "I.. had another dream last night and I am going to use the flail again. I think it is the only way to help Anin. The necklace should protect me from being controlled until I can help him." She would say somewhat nervously.
"Well... the person in my dream said that the necklace will protect me from being controlled.. and if I hold on to the flail... and talk with Anin.. maybe i could become friends with him and get him to change his ways" She would say before taking a small bite of food.
Jambiya stumbles down to breakfast, pulling up a chair at the group's table. When food is placed in front of her, she grimaces and pushes it towards Snap, then puts her head down on the cool wood.
She will turn her head and open her eyes to watch Anafrey as they discuss the dwarf in her head. "That's... really noble of you, 'Frey." She reaches out to pat her forearm.

Maldorn, you know that it is about a two and a half day journey from Seldom Spring to Neverwinter.
Anafrey:
As soon as you grasp the flail, you feel sadness from the alien mind that inhabits the weapon and that you can sense while touching it. Despite your greeting, Anin does not communicate with you. All you can feel is his sadness. But, despite your lingering doubts, you do not feel out of control. Anin's mind is present, but you still have full control of your body and mind. In the dim light of the room, you notice that the symbol of Marthammor Duin glows ever so slightly.
Snap happily laps up Jambiya's breakfast and telepathically sends the little goblin girl feelings of delight.
Erric buys another bundle of crossbow bolts, and tries to sell the morningstar and scimitar he is for some reason still carrying around (they were in my inventory and I'm not sure why... there were also three shields which seems like a mistake, so those are deleted!).
Feeling a bit vindicated, Maldorn adds to the breakfast conversation: "Ah! My hunch about the amulet protecting Icy from the cursed flail was right. And to think Jambiya almost ate me alive after I suggested no one else but Icy should pick it up again after she threw it."
Maldorn enjoys a bit more of his food before thinking of something else: "Wait. If Icy is going to be using the flail again, then perhaps someone else should wield that magical blade we found in the boot. Erric had made an early claim, if I remember correctly, so perhaps the bard should have it."
"I Think I'll carry the flail to keep Anin close, but I don't know that I will be using it a whole lot in combat. I think I'll use my longbow when I can and will use the flail when I need to." Anafrey would reply with a smile. "if Erric wants the sword, he can have it." She would add with a nod.
You can sell found equipment for 1/4 its regular value. Looking back through posts (searching for the term shield), I can see where you could have three or more shields from past battles.
Sold off, rations/bolts purchased, and ready to head home.
On the way, Erric tries out a new spell he's figured out. Maldorn begins hearing Erric's voice whispering in his head. He tries bits of a very catchy jingle about spoons he made up on the road to Neverwinter. Not long, but unexpected, and it happens several times. He tries the message on Anafrey and Jambiya as well. At first, Anafrey gets some bits of ghostly dwavish brogue in her head, and Jambiya gets some jokes about boots and also some sonnets about green goddesses.
He takes the dodge action after each attempt to stay out of the way of sticks and rocks thrown his way. Eventually he shows them how to reply back to him.
He does not later begin to try strategizing practical purposes of this spell, which began as a practical joke.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Accidental replies to Erric's messages include: "What?", "Did you say something, Erric?" , "Not that jingle again!" and "Change the channel, Marge Erric."

Jambiya, if there's anything further you wanted to do in Neverwinter, we can insert it below.
The party leaves the Fallen Tower after breakfast. Everyone feels refreshed except for Jambiya, who feels hung over. Two more nights on the road are interesting, but not too dangerous. But by the time they have reached the road to Seldom Spring, the party is full of anticipation. Their backs and feet are sore, but their pace quickens a little. Soon, they can see the familiar cluster of buildings appear on the horizon. After almost two months of adventuring, you are home.
We are entering a period of downtime. You have two weeks (though you don't know that) before the next chapter begins. Is there anything you would you like to do during that time?
Erric might take a trip back to Neverwinter to perform at that Orc tavern, which went so well last time, and he'd talk up the amazing Seldom Spring and its curious tavern around Neverwinter, trying to draw Dirk some business.
He'll clean up his home above the store and sort through his stone collection. He'll spend quite a bit of time chatting up Dirk and Brunthor at the tavern, listening to stories. He spends a lot of this time trying to be helpful with Jambiya, assuming she goes back to . He'll also pester Maldorn to go out hunting with him a few times, experimenting with his newfound abilities to near-silently message others and make someone, both himself and Maldorn-the-real-hunter cloaked in invisibility. He'd be up to his usual pranks around town, but he'd leave Anafrey alone, giving her time to sort out the dwarf in her head.
