Maldorn slows down long enough to create a telepathic bond with Sagitta, but remains ahead of Erric and Ebokk. He also passes by the fountain. Erric and Ebokk continue to run full out, Erric only slightly ahead of Ebokk. Erric has just entered the room with the fountain, and Ebokk is just outside of the doorway.
There is another heavy rumble, but all four of the adventurers successfully keep their footing.
Sagitta continues to keep a close eye on the path behind them all, but doesn't see anything except falling rocks and dust during the rumble.
Satisfied with the clear communication established between himself and Sagitta, and even more with the serpent's report, Maldorn gives his all again to running. He dashes twice as to advance 120ft. For his bonus action, he'll maintain his request for Sagitta to continue keeping watch behind the ranger. If he falls, he'll simply pick himself up and go as far as he can.

While panting he keeps on going , his shield stil above his shoulder but has gone slightly down after the last sprint. But if needed he will do what he can to protect those near him

Still on a fast track to what they hope is safety, the party experiences another stone-shaking rumble, but one that is much more ferocious. Both Jambiya and Maldorn are knocked from their feet as larger pieces of stone fall from the ceiling, and some are even dislodged from the walls as cracks appear like sprays of spider webs in both the floors and walls.
Jambiya gets back to her feet, still in the lead. She has made it to the hallway that bends between the room with the second puzzle and the room where they met Rose and her little ones (all of whom are absent). Sagitta flaps his wings as the old man takes his tumble, but the snake retains his hold on Maldorn and reports that he saw a huge piece of stone fall and completely crush the fountain behind them just before that part of the Vault went dark. Maldorn is 35 feet behind Jambiya. Both Erric and Ebokk are able to stay on their feet despite the mighty shaking of the stone around them and the spray of water that peppers the backs of their legs. Erric puts himself almost in a trance by distracting himself with a song. Ebokk, instead, keeps his eyes on the backs of his friends, determined to do whatever it takes to make sure they are protected. They are about to reach the chamber where Rose was. All have passed through the chamber with the third puzzle: the cyclops and the gorgon.

As he is turning the corner in the hall's bend, Maldorn steps on a large piece of rock and immediately slips, sliding across the floor and banging into the wall. But the old man gets back to his feet and keeps running. There is another huge quake. Erric has to pinwheel his arms for a few heartbeats to keep from falling down. If it wasn't for the danger, the way his voice rises during his song in response would be humorous. The Vault around them is starting to look like it could all fall in at any moment. While Ebokk has never been in a cave-in himself, he has read many accounts, and he is finding that reality is just as frightening as he had imagined. He can hear the passage behind him imploding.

Jambiya pauses once again to ask for more help from her mother, and the floor lurches beneath her, throwing the little goblin girl to the floor. Maldorn is actually able to pass her by, and she waves him on as she gets back to her feet and follows behind the hunter, slapping her hands together to dust them off.
Ahead of him, Maldorn can see the great hourglass in the first chamber. He can't tell for sure. It looks like all of the sand or perhaps only most of the sand is in the bottom half.
In the back, Ebokk and Erric feel like they are only seconds from being knocked unconscious by falling rock. In the hallway leading to where they first met Rose, even the light around them seems to be dimming. Behind them is inky blackness, but they know it's a ruined mess of rock debris and dust.
Pulling into a solo lead as Maldorn slows to chat with Sagitta, Jambiya continues to pour on the speed.
