"Might get useful," nodded Aseid. He was still glancing around from time to time but was doing so inconspicuously - just keeping an eye on surroundings, without allowing paranoia to take the better of him. The small winged creature was interesting, though and got the biggest number of glances.
After Aseid comments on the winged thing, Jambiya approaches the Cadaver's Arms, hoping it's Snap. She sends happy thoughts toward the creature and is rewarded when it lifts its wings and soars down toward her. It is indeed Snap. The pseudodragon circles the little green goblin girl, making a sort of coughing chirp sound. He is happy to see her.
Munchy begins barking wildly, but Jambiya understands his exclamations to be more interest than ferocity.
Geth starts to answer Erric, but stops as the pseudodragon makes his appearance and Munchy starts barking. "Gargoyle!" the big human says, looking scared.
Introductions are quickly made, and Snap flies back up to sit on the edge of the roof, staying out of Munchy's reach just in case. Geth smiles. "So it's like a little dragon," he marvels.
After a little more conversation about Snap (feel free to reveal anything anyone would say here), Geth finally gets around to answering Erric. "They've already left for the day. They're usually out of here right at sun up."
Maldorn stays in the back during the scene with Snap, Munchy, and Geth, at least for now. He lights up a cigarette after spending the night depriving himself of the taste of tobacco. His offer to cast pass without trace once the group is ready to investigate still stands.
Conversation about Snap, conversation about the weather, conversation with Munchy about what a good dog he is. Then, "Well, we have some business with them, but now it's also with this old temple," Jambiya nods in the direction of the building. "We won't be long, though, I expect." With a wink, she adds, "Adventurer stuff."
"Maldorn, if you would, I think your idea is a great one."

Maldorn follows Erric and Jambiya, focusing primary on keeping the spell going for now. He is mesmerized while watching the natural-looking shades move and expand to conceal their movement. It's as if the sun was perpetually shining through a tall tree and casting the silhouette if its many leaves in shadow.

Aceid let others move a few steps ahead of him. Not only to watch their backs (this too, of course) but mostly to not compromise their effort. Aseid could be called many names, but "stealthy" would not be one of them, and if he was bound to draw attention, at least others will be safe:
Little remains of this former temple beyond a few broken walls. From what is left, you can tell this used to be a fairly large structure. Grand, perhaps. But what is missing from the walls and ceiling is just gone. The floor is pretty much an uneven broken mess, but where are the piles of wood, stone and other debris? There has clearly been some removal here. Perhaps the Kelemvorites' claims are true.
Erric, you can clearly see the rod standing atop the highest part of the remains of the temple. Erric, standing in the southwest corner of the ruin, you also notice two places where it looks like something (or someone) was buried, but have been unearthed.

"We can do both - someone is checking the rod and others dig. Though, it looks like whatever was in these graves was unearthed already." Aseid looked around in search of any passages under the temple. Perception: 10
Jambiya looks up at the rod. "Well, Daddy Pops said that once back when, he and the others had buried an adventuring companion here, at the temple, along with a lot of loot, to keep it from... um, the wrong hands." She looks back at the arty. "When I heard we were going to be stopping in neverwinter, I remembered that story, and I thought it would be a fun bit of adventuring, recovering treasure my fathers left here. But then we got mixed up with the Piffernackles, and maybe it's because they were such boorish slugs, but now, I want to know what they are up to." She looks back up at the rod. "So I'm going up there, and maybe you guys figure out if those two holes are new, and if there are any bodies in them, and any treasure?"
She spits on her hands for no good reason and rubs them together, then calmly steps on to the wall and walks up it to the top.

Erric places his hand gently on Jambiya's shoulder. "You don't need my advice, but please be careful up there. I know you'll do great."(d8 insiration to Jambiya for her ring... but not sure if there's some already stored in there!)
He follows her ascent with his eyes, and also tries to help Maldorn and Aseid keep a lookout both for flying dangers that might threaten the little goblin girl, but also any guard or Kelemvorites who seem interested in their presence here.
Jambiya smiles warmly at Erric as he inspires her. "I'll always take your thoughts, Erric, and when have you known me to not be careful?" She quirks an eyebrow, but then can't help herself from laughing. "Do not answer that, Mr. Hillfall!"
As she climbs, however, she will whisper an appeal to her mother to watch over her.
OOC > I def need to use the combo of Erric's Inspiration/Ring of Inspiration more! I just re-read it, and I'd forgotten that not only does it let her save up to three Bardic Inspirations given to her (but only for an hour), it lets her have Advantage on their rolling! (She rolls the inspiration die twice and takes the better number.) Wow.
Maldorn nods along as Jambiya explains, uncertain if he had heard the whole story before. When Erric says something about keeping an eye out, the old ranger looks into one of his droopy sleeves: "Sagitta, friend, it is your time to shine. Fly high and keep an eye out for us, would you?"
The snake zaps out and up, keeping an eye out and about but also on Jambiya.
Aseid, the place is a mess! Despite the absence of huge amounts of collapsed temple, it's still hard to make heads or tails of much of anything. You don't see any passages.
Jambiya carefully walks up the tallest remaining temple wall with Erric and Maldorn watching and Sagitta flying lazy circles nearby. Walking on the inside of the wall, Jambiya realizes she is following a kind of black cord. It starts at the rod and runs down the tall toward the ground. She didn't notice it until a ways up, though, so she's not sure if it goes all the way to what used to be the floor of the temple. She reaches the rod. Taking a quick look around, she can see the walls of the graveyard to the west, the city wall to the south, the still-empty area where the chasm used to be to the north, and more small clusters of buildings dotting the road heading east.

"Right away!" Maldorn leads the team to a secluded spot and casts the spell.
Erric gives a thoughtful "hmph" at that answer and then follows Maldorn, Aseid, and Jambiya to the ruins.
Okey dokey. You aren't seen going to the "secluded spot", and Maldorn casts his spell. What's next?
Jambiya will lead the group, as stealthily as possible, inside the ruins to see what there is to see. Stealth (+10 added for PWT): 24
