Maldorn leans in toward Aseid: "You don't want to get on her bad side."His eyes tell the human warrior that he has experience with that himself. Maldorn follows Jambyia, not worrying about taking his usual spot on the back of the marching order this time.
Jambiya walks across the ceiling, 10 feet down the fall wall, and steps into the smaller tunnel continuing on the ceiling. Maldorn follows, again, having to stoop to keep from hitting his head on the arched ceiling that is a little less than five feet from floor to ceiling.
Who's lighting up the place for those without darkvision?
Jambiya, you can see that the tunnel is only 10 feet long and then it intersections with another smaller tunnel going left and right.
Aseid would lighten the torch again and follow Maldorn. At the intersection, he would either try to light the paths himself one after another to make the choice or land the torch to Maldorn if both of them can not fit there.
Maldorn moves away and/or takes the torch from Aseid as needed to coordinate and effectively light the tunnel. He makes sure to hold the torch as far in front of him as he can. It can be a little awkward to stoop and light the way at the same time. One might end up burning their own eyebrows.
Jambiya, while the bigs are trying to negotiate stooping and placement and the torch, you look to your left (their right) and see that the tunnel appears to be caved in after about 40 feet. There is another smaller tunnel branching off in the same direction as your current tunnel before the cave-in. Looking to your right (their left), you see ... well, you're not sure. You can make out another small tunnel branching off, again in the direction your current tunnel is going, but straight ahead is ... again, you're not sure. Even with your darkvision, it's hard to discern what you're seeing. You watch it, and nothing is moving. That, you can be sure of.
As for Maldorn and Aseid, the tunnel is not quite five feet round. Jambiya is ahead of you. Yes, she's small, but she's also walking on the ceiling, where you'd normally lean forward. To see past her, you'd really need to get below her instead of looking over her. You're really going to have to wait until she gets out of the way to utilize the torch in the new tunnel.
Peering to the party’s left, Jambiya steps down the wall to the ground, motioning the others forward. “Something weird down that way,” she says, deciding she’s not stupid enough to do this on her own. She does clutch her spoon a little harder, feeling invigorated.

Erric brings up the rear, quietly. He listens to Jambiya's warning. He steps forward, peering into the darkness. His index finger rises and he appears to think of something. He pulls out his pack and digs deep into the bottom, eventually pulling out a long, crooked stick. He holds up the boomerang and then throws it down the tunnel, toward where Jambiya saw something. He tries to catch it if it does not strike anything.
Maldorn is relieved when Jambyia steps back on the ground. Managing the passing of the torch, the low ceiling, and the obstructed line of sight was a bit too much for the old man. At least now, one of those hurdles has disappeared.
Erric, I'm going to rule that there's no way you're throwing a boomerang down an approximately five-foot round tube behind three others without smacking one of them with it. You would foresee this, and you have average wisdom, so I don't think you'd chance it. You pull out your boomerang, prepare to throw, then think better of it as you watch the three figures — two of them having to hunch over just to fit — move slowly ahead of you.
Jambiya, the torch light eking around and above you down the tunnel helps your ability to see in the darkness. You're not too far down the tunnel to the left when you realize you're approaching a small chamber with a ladder in the center of it. There is another (you saw it before) smaller tunnel approaching on your right.
“It looks like another way up, there’s a ladder,” she tells them. Then she peeks around the corner into the small intersecting tunnel, trying to be stealthy (though she just talked out loud, so mostly it is to prevent anyone from taking a pot shot at her, not to fool them into thinking nobody is coming).

Aseid took the torch and followed the ranger. Another exit looked promising and he wanted to be close enough to help if some danger was awaiting in the next room.
Peeking around the corner into the intersection tunnel, Jambiya, you see it's only about 20 or so feet deep before it's caved in as well. Continuing forward, you can see that shallow water covers the floor of the chamber ahead. An old ladder climbs from the center of the chamber to its uneven ceiling. There doesn't appear to be a door or opening of any kind. Strangely enough, there are small points of light in the ceiling that are projecting tiny light rays on one of the walls.
Jambiya waits for the others to gather at the opening of this new chamber, then she smiles. "Cover me," she says, as she steps out onto the wall and walks up to the ceiling, avoiding passing through any of the light rays. She wants to examine the opening that let light in, and take a look at where the ladder exits the room (if it does).

Jambiya crouches, and approaches the intersection cautiously, holding her spoon and listening and glancing both directions.
