Dain is still blinking his eyes as the whirlwind of Otrov jumps onto his bed, speaks what sounds like jibberish, then runs out again. It takes his mind a few moments to catch up to what was being said. With a grumble he gets up, pulls on some gear, and follows Otrov outside. "What be ye looking for?" He asks, his familiar, having been keeping watch in his room, now up and flying around, looking to see what is going on as well.
Margret is sleeping soundly dreaming of Falcons lodge, a talking elk and all of the trophies living, having conversation all talking with a drunk Otrov who is riding on the Elk. All singing "I aint got nobody"
Otrov you quickly run downstairs and past the empty stable into the backyard. You don‘t see anyone around, but you hear birds singing to greet a beautifull morning.
Dain, your room is as you remember it and everything looks normal while you follow Otrov to the stairs. But as you make your first step downwards, Sebastian calls you back. Your familiar noticed bloody fingerprints on first door next to the stairs. You remember that this room belonged to Relgalyn.
"Wake and ware!" Dain calls with a shout to make the rafters shiver. he moves to the door with the bloody prints and kicks it in, ready to find the worst.
The loud shout wakes Zurzg, and he rolls over, falling out of bed in the process. Grumbling to himself, he opens the door to his room and peeks his head out.
Hearing the dwarf shout, Otrov skids to a halt. She looks out for anything moving - a quick glance to the ground for tracks - before heading back to the inn. She goes to where Dain is in Relgalyn’s room to see why he is there.
There are two beds in the room. The one on the right side is empty and Relgalyn used it to put down his backpack and instruments. On the left one you see the body of the bard, the sheets soaked in blood. You don‘t see any sights of a fight.
Otrov, you don‘t see any movement outside.
Woken by the noise Sildar comes out of his room, sword in hand and looks what is going on. As well as Toblen Stonhill who pokes his head out to see what the commotion is about.
Dain, judging by the amount of blood outside of his body, you assume he is dead. The body is pale and motionless and there is a big wound accros his throat.

Otrov looks with sadness on the body of her companion. "Ohh, Relgayn...I'll never forget those terrible songs you sang, or when you ran off by yourself and unleashed a Grick on us..." She shakes her head as she investigates the body and bed for signs or clues, all the while slipping anything of value into her pockets. As a criminal and some-time assassin, she notes Relgalyn's backpack has been left alone - a strange thing to do for a common thief.
Otrov Help's Margret in her examination of the body: Survival - 4Medicine - 16
To Margret's question she replies, "No, nothing yet. Whoever did this didn't care about stealing his stuff - his backpack hasn't been touched. They also knew where he was sleeping IF he was the specific target. If it was me, I'd have taken something. It could be random - like a warning. I wouldn't have done it this close to daylight either - too many eyes."
Between Margrets perception check and Otrovs medical examination, you conclude that Relgalyn was attacked in his sleep. But to your surprise you realise that his throat wasn't cut with a sharp object, but rather torn out and slashed open with brute force. You don't know who did it, but if a bear would sneak up on you and aim for your throat, thats the kind of injury you would expect.
The room is clean and in order. You do find a bloody handprint on the door, wich is what alarmed Sebastian in the first place. It seams to be from a humanoid hand and at a hight that suggest someone who is 5 to 6 feet tall. It is clearly to high for someone of Otrovs sice.
When Sildar sees the room, he stops Toblen from coming closser. He explains it to him and asks the innkeeper to look after family, while Sildar deals with this.
"Who foundt him? Did you see anyone?" Sildar asks the three of you. Before he remebers there are more of you. He leafs the room, to quickly check on Zurzg, Nobody and Kai. But all three are ok.
"Ok someone needs to check on the prisoner in the townhall, someone needs to get Sister Garaele and someone should stay here to keep an eye open. Any volunteers?"
Otrov tumbles into the fray and says, "Okay, there I was sleeping - dreaming actually - about dragons when all of a sudden, the dragon goes to roar and it sounds like a slamming door. Then the dragon roars again and it sounds like footsteps! I think I laughed myself awake but then I heard someone - some thing - going down the stairs. So I gets my fangs here," she indicates the manticore spike dagger and the normal dagger, "and I run off after it. Then I hear Dain screaming like he's getting a wedgie from a half-dragon and so I came back. Because I wanted to see if that was really what was happening." She looks at the body, "Something tore his throat open - could be a very displeased customer, I mean, Relgalyn wasn't the best singer..."
Otrov volunteers to go to Sister Garaele's with someone. She looks at the cleric - "He's not going to get up and kill everyone, right?"
