Discussing what to do next you and Ben dont even notice the elf that has approached from behind. "Hello" he says, startling the both of you before continueing "My name is Zephyre, im sorry to intrude but i may be of some help as to what is happening and what "that" is" he points at the medallion in Bens grasp and waits for a reply.
The elf stands about 5'11, he has two big daggers on either side of his richly made belt, the attire he wears itself looks similar to the below description
*OOC* Your character is unaware of the happenings several feet away as you and Ben have been completely distracted and occupied with each other.
Nawien turned around quite surprised and very alarmed - the crowd she and Ben kept away from did not look friendly. The new face on the scene did not look friendly either - considering weapons and hunter-smooth movements - but at least looked beautiful. Say what you want about arrogant elves they are a pleasure to look at. And, apparently, have an amazing hearing.
- I am Nawien, - answered she as polite as she could manage, - and this is Ben. Greetings to you too. Not sure how much have you heard, but we indeed would like to know what had happened here. I am afraid we are at a big disadvantage here and got involved into something neither of us understands.
Listening did not kill anyone yet, and while elf is talking she could study him and figure out what to do next.
Questions are - what she can tell about him? (from his attire, weapon, speech patterns and accent, manners and so on) Can she detect if he is saying the truth?
"Well where to begin?" He seems to ask himself more than you. "I came to Ring City to find out what is killing everyone and why, and order of some sort your could say. I watched over the city a week or so in search of anything thats out of the ordinary, however in all that time nothing happened until I seen the elf that is laying on the floor dead nowsnooping around the back allys of the city. He has very powerful sway in Arkadia due to the fact that he is a master of chemistry and an illegals smuggler. I followed him a long time as he gathers materials from various sources. It would appear that he needs the medallion to fuse the materials.
Hes not lying, thats for sure. Its strange though, unlike most beings that youve encountered, this persons aura, no presence seems off. His wepons are unlike anything you have seen or read about, they dont even have elvish qualities. His speech is very well, with a definitive elfs accent. He looks toward Ben expecting more question but returns his gaze to you as Ben just shrugs his shoulders in a dissmissive manner
- Fascinating! - Nawien's admiration was absolutely genuine, the story was good and if her suspicions were right, what she saw in front of her was even better. - Forgive me, Sir, but can I?...
Not waiting for an answer Nawiem made a step towards the elf and softly touched his shoulder as if in admiration of the attire. She could not shake a feeling the perfect image in front of her was just that - an image, an illusion.
Thokk - After hearing the others talk to this New-Elf he became weary of the surrounding of the alley and said, "Well...if we are going to have a discussion about something of this nature we probably shouldn't be discussing it out in the open like this...next to that.", (using his hands to indicate they are outside...next to a dead body), "I am going to go inside and get a drink, after-all I feel like I deserve one after the way this night has started, and if all of you still choose to stay out here then so be it." Moving towards the doorway of the back of the bar Thokk heads into the bar.

Rusty begins to reevaluate the Orc, this specimen is may not be as mentally challenged as his former master proclaimed all Orc-kind to be. Moving the assembled mass in doors would be prudent. Rusty continues scanning for a suitable disposal site for the Elf suspect, he will check his persons for content and gather for further evaluation.
"My name is Zephyre, and im part of the royal guard at The Floating Isles. The part that isnt corrupt atleast." he says this looking down at the dead elf once more before becoming furiously passionate saying " "Some" random deaths have ended almost a thousand lives, well in a sense. The only guards in the city are all huddled around the inner rings, this tavern sets on the out skirts of the last ring of ring city, meaning that there isnt even walls to protect you from what creeps out of the forest at night! Besides even if there were guards its like you said, the situation would be far beyond there capabilities, not to mention the amount of corruption that backs who ever is behind this would destroy any further questions from authority figures of any kind." His voice has steadied and he doesnt seem intense anymore as he turns his attentions to the mechanoid almost within reaching distance of himself.
“So we are either canon fodder, or you think that because we are some random scum off the street we will go overlooked by whoever is doing this. Either way the odds don’t look too good. The more you speak the higher the price is going.” Marun continues to watch this new figure carefully trying to figure out how much he can trust the strange elf.

"So you're calling on our good-naturedness to assist you then? I wouldn't trust you further than I can throw you on your position, or your not being corrupt. What's to say we help you and then you set someone like that mechanoid on us, and pin the blame onto us? Either way you try and word-smith it, odds aren't exactly favouring us."
I look around the alley, and look at the growing number of people, starting to feel wary, and don't particularly want to be seen next to a dead elf
"Either way, this environment is not conducive to any decent conversation. I'm going back inside to finish my ale if it hasn't been knocked off by some of the less honourable patrons. The cost of an initial conversation will be a drink, a big drink I think will cover this. At least we might get something out of this, what do you think Orc, Dragon-born? Also, if you want to bring those others with you,"I look up the alley (Perception:4) to see if I can see anyone else, waving vaguely down the alley, "advise them to be careful, they don't look like they really fit in here."
**OOC - edited to not meta-game. I'm assuming that I can see that Zephyr has been talking to someone/thing up there, as surely we can see him walk up and down?
I motion to the Orc and Dragon-born who are standing near me as I ask this of the Elf, I wait for an indication from the Elf before I make a move back inside the tavern.
Thokk - Once inside the bar Thokk finds a table and sits down. He pulls out the bag that he had received from the (now dead) High-Elf to obtain an exact amount of money. It may necessary to not only rent a room for the night, but possibly get some provisions for whatever may be ahead for this weirdness that has taken place. In the mean time he orders a drink saying a little loudly to get the barkeeps attention, "Pint of Ale over here." and waits to see what will happen.

OOC: There may be some confusion from the way the post were made it seem as if the new elf was addressing everyone in the alley. Before he was looking down onto the scene in the alley he was presumably able to see everyone from his vantage point and when he appeared before everyone in front of the corpse he was talking to (Thokk, Rusty, Marun, Cyst, and Dain), if the Elf was able to be as stealthy and quiet in his landing it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to believe that after he spoke to this group he then, with the same speed, quickly and quietly was able to make it down the alley way towards Ben and Nawien and begin conversing with them...that being said would it not be evident that their exchange would be noticeable to the group around the dead elf? I'm not saying that anyone heard the conversation, but it would be odd for a group of people to ignore an individual who left a conversation to go towards the other end of the alley.

BACKSTORY
"Sounds like a plan." Marun follows his lead back into the tavern. He makes his way up to the bar where he retrieves his gear. "You shouldn't get any more issues out the back." He says to Laaz. "I am just gonna be over here having a drink if you need me for anything." Marun takes a mug of beer and makes his way over to the table to sit with the others.

[OOC] Confusion began with that erased conversation about Thakk's guilt. Actually, Nawien and Ben came from a side alley and stand there, talking to each other. They can hear you and see - the door was opened, the light from tavern should be enough, but it's dark in the alley, so, not sure your group even saw Nawien.
Now, I have an impression, both groups see the new elf and having different conversation with him in the same moment - hence, my post about illusion. I might be mistaken, of course.
BTW, when (if?) we all finally get together, would be nice to describe our characters. For example, phrase "that half-elven sorceress" is very questionable, since Nawien looks like human (ok, a touch too slender and pretty for a human girl, but you need to squint a lot to see the difference) and she did not do any magic yet to brand her sorceress right away.
*OOC* this is actually kind of funny. That's the downside to meta gaming but the upside is being able to have two or three different environments with several people in same rpm. Unlike a live dnd where usually the group of players is forced to be around each other all hearing the same stuff

OOC: I agree and I am comfortable with a physical description of our character when we first meet each other, but it is very situational. Maze has exchanged sights with some of you, but "looks like half-elven" is probably all she noticed at this moment. I would suggest that you ask for more when you feel that it is not enough, that your character would really have taken the time to examine the other. Something like this could also be interesting: " X looks at her general appearance, trying to figure out her race. X gets so intrigued by her, that he's trying to notice every little detail about her body, trying to decide how charming he finds her..." or "X takes a moment to look at her, trying to get a general vibe about her appearance." or simply and more obvious "X looks at her, so that he'll get more details about what she looks like" :-) (images are also welcome!)
As in forget Zephyres post as a player besides when he approached y'all. He still stand in front of both groups in the rally having conversation, except for some of the players heading inside. I've got so much going on irl that I haven't had much time to do posts, and I will be in the same boat for another day and a half. Have to take my daughter back to her mother's in next state over. I should be able to check on stuff and do couple posts though. If anyone has questions just message me I'll try to clear it up to all for being so patient I already have a lot laid out to happen so it shouldn't be to hard to move along when I can focus on it

I agree, if your character doesn't neccesarily "check out" the other player or character then there usually isn't much description. I also favor images however descriptive detail is really what gets your imagination going
All I have to do is copy the image and paste it also so it's easy to do
Zephyre can sense the distrust from the group of individuals and turns his attention to Rusty "I will take care of the elf, there must be absolutely no trace. If your interested in ending the corrupt injustice and deaths even among young "Biologics" , due to the drugs and the leaders behind them, then I have information on your next lead. Stick around I will come find you as soon as ive taken care of this."
Zephyre grabs the corpse and leaps effortlessly to the roof top closest to him, you see his shadowy figure lay the body down before he throws a paper air plane into the puddle of blood. The plane flew swiftly and in an unnaturally straight line. When it collided with the cobblestone puddle of blood it bounces off the ground and unfolds itself 3 feet in the air before falling like a feather. You see symbols or an inscription of some kind on it. It lands in the puddle flat before bursting to flames, the puddle shrinks smaller and smaller until all thats left is a little metal BB. The flames were confined only to the puddle but with emense heat
By the time anyone looks up to see about Zephyres whereabouts its too late. The shadowy figure that was is gone and with it all traces of the incident.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rusty is extremely intrigued with the Elf's runic paper cleanup, and will inquire about it's source and hope to attain a facsimile for future use. Rusty will follow the rest of the crowd into the tavern, pulling his hood up over his head to reduce the number of looks his likeness typically draws. He will stay in the back and attempt to blend in with the wall and draw less attention than he has so far in this section of the city.
Thokk - Seeing the others from the alley starting to funnel into the tavern and Thokk takes this moment to leave his table with his drink to go have a quiet talk with the bartender. He walks up to the bar and says to the bartender, "Hey...what will it take to get you to give a few of us this tavern all to ourselves for say...an hour?". He waits for his response to the question at hand.

Zephyre remains at ease as you approach him, you reach out to touch his shoulder and to your surprise you feel linen, fine linen and muscles underneath. Yet still something doesn't feel right about this being, maybe in time you will find out why.
"Satisfied?" "You have an abnormal sensativity to magic for a human" Zephyre looks at Ben who stands hand on sword ready for anything the odd elf might try to do to you. "Theres no need to be uneasy, I have no reason to harm anyone here tonight."
I take a quick look around the alley, before following the Orc into the tavern. I check to see if Larzz (the young dwarf), and my ale are still where I left them (Perception: 14)
You see Larz still sitting at the table you two have settled at. Your drink is gone and Larzz has some metal rings ranging from 3 inches to half a foot with some nuts and bolts laying about. He looks up, seeing you walk toward the table, and waves the server over and says something to her before she walks to the bar and fills up a fresh mug of brewed ale before placing it on the table. Larzz hands her a few coins before she walks off.
You see a few of the others from the alley beginning to gather at a table near the back. The half orc stands at the bar talking to who you assume is the owner of the establishment. At this point there are hardly any customers left besides the lott of yall.

I take a quick look around the alley, before following the Orc into the tavern. I check to see if Larzz (the young dwarf), and my ale are still where I left them (Perception: 12)

*OOC* yall dont know the half elf and her human friend even exist still, they are a bit of ways down the ally in cover of shadows. and also ill be getting to everything guys im so sorry life is so demanding ; ( and i dont like to half ass my posts , everything looks good besides the sorcerer thing

Zephyre /Rusty/others outside back ally
