(Hope everyone is doing well during these times. If you so choose, Ethan Zeke and Elra can feel free to give me their round 2 actions as well since Grol will not be acting in round 1. You don't have to if you think your action may depend on what others do, of course, just keeping it moving where possible.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeke will press his attack - keeping himself in front of the towering King and using the full reach of his blade to his advantage. Spectral figures seem to coalesce out of the air, surrounding and antagonizing the bugbear.
Attack: 19 Damage: 12. Adding in Bless 2
Move: Hold a position in between the King and the squishy casters
Think he's subject to this from my hit last round Ancestral Guardians: the first creature you hit with an attack on your turn has disadvantage on any attack that isn't against you, and when the target hits a creature other than you, that creature has resistance to the damage dealt by the attack
Elra's still horrified by what just happened, but knows that her friends need her help, she looks into the door and prays to Oghma to bless Tarja, Zeke, and Ethan so they aim true.
Action: Cast [slepp]Bless[/spell] On Ethan Tarja and Zeke

Hate to go too long without Arvel around as role play is always important, but going to roll an Eldritch Blast for him to keep this moving. Not sure if he'd keep his Spider disguise up or drop it, and if he'd use Hex but I hate to take away his last spell slot so I'll refrain...
Grol cries out in surprise and pain as the team suddenly brings on an onslaught of attacks. Out of the corner of his eye he sees Spider Arvel attack and gets even angrier. "YOU! No, goblin god promised you would make King Grol great and rich!"
FYI - Tarja hit because of Bless. I think everyone hit in round 1, actually. Saving Zeke's second attack for at least a partial resolution of round 2 for everyone who goes before Grol. Hope everyone is doing ok out there!
(Thanks for the bless roll! I'll wait to post my next action until Grol does his R2, since I'm going after him, and whether I keep my spider form or not is going to depend on whether I get attacked or not.)
Elra looks through the door to Grol, and points at him, speaking words in Celestial as a bolt of radiant energy escapes her fingertips and flies at Grol.
In only a matter of seconds the surprised King Grol has been pummeled by the party such that he is quickly bloodied and his efforts to reach for his mace have continuously been interrupted by the impacts of the various forces brought upon him. Finally in a last fit of rage he lunges from his chair, grabs the mace and swings wildly at Zeke.
Grol Attack 1: 17 , Damage 12 piercing
Grol Attack 2: 9 , Damage 14 piercing
*ok technically it's a morningstar, thus the piercing, my bad
**the next attack against Grol will have advantage from Elra's bolt, which may be Arvel
Tarja continues recklessely biting at Grol. The spider body is more expendable than her teammates. Attack with bless: 21, damage 5 piercing, if hit requires DC11 Con save or take 11 poison damage, half that on success.
Glad to have heard from Cubester in RL along with everyone else. Knowing that everyone is busy adjusting to this new lifestyle but wanting to keep the campaign moving I'm going to post more attack rolls for Arvel because this combat is going to be resolved quickly either way and then we can move on to some more fun stuff.
Funny how easy dealing with 'the boss' is when you befriend the goblins and their pets and remove the displacer beast and the priest goblin dude from the picture, huh? Who would have thought! Always interesting to see how something like taking this castle plays out. It, of course, could have gone a thousand different ways.
Just as quickly as Grol finally mounted an attack on Zeke he is put down again by a bolt of force from 'The Spider' and a bite from another large spider. Slumped back into his 'throne', Grol does not move again. Depending on one's insight into the whole situation here there is a good deal of irony in Grol having been killed by a fake Spider and Tarja's temporary spider form.
With the central figure in this corner tower of the castle being the deceased Grol in his chair, other points of interest in the room beyond some mundane furniture and items are three large trunks (A, B, C) and an unexplored doorway near the north wall.
Elra opens the unlocked wooden door to find a small, dark room with high crumbling walls. A bit of rapidly waning daylight peeks through near the ceiling. It takes an extra second of focus but the mostly nude body of an unconscious, familiar dwarf is curled up in a ball in one corner. Gundren just has an old section of curtain wrapped around him, is chained to the wall by one ankle and appears to be badly bruised and beaten.
(more on what Fae finds when I get back to my laptop)
"Gundren," Elra exclaims, running into the room and dropping her bag on the ground. Rifling through it, she pulls out her blanket and wraps it around him as best she can. "Thank Oghma you're alive, it's alright, we're going to get you out of here." She says, regardless of whether or not he can hear her. Looking to the chain, she calls out to Ethan or Zeke. "Um... can you help me in here? I don't think I can break this open on my own."
After Zeke or Ethan helps her with the wall shackle, she properly lays him out and wraps him up with the blanket better before taking hold of one of his hands in both of hers and guiding divine power from herself into him, willing his wounds to heal.

In spider form, Tarja pokes at the chests, doors, and windows to spring any traps. Finally, she transforms back into her Dwarf form and rushes over to check on Gundren. Seeing the chain, she would look for a key somewhere on Grol's body (perception: 18). (If she found one, she would unlock Gundren with it; if she did not, then she would cast Guidance on whoever is trying to search for a key or break the chain.)

Fae will pull loose her bindings, freeing her hands. She'd sidestep into the room last, launching her Magic Missile

Ethan directs his Eldritch Canon to climb up the wall, as he side-steps to stand under it.
Ethan pulls out his Fire Caster, with its jury-rigged modifications and together, Ethan and the Canon take aim at Grol.
There is the familiar whine and then the womp and crackle as the two release their magical attacks.

Fae will lower her hands and begin wondering about the room. As Elra tries the doors, Fae would check the trunks closest to her.
