Fae would smile in delight as she watched Ethan’s engineering go off without a hitch. She’d peek around the corner once all the dust was settled, just in time for Arvel’s reveal. Feeling the weight of the decision, the wizard would start to nibble on her lip while she contemplated her actions. Her eyes would bounce between the charlatan and their surprised opponent. Fae would raise her scarred hands towards Targo. I have the advantage... I have the power...
For RP purposes: ’Flipping a coin’ to see if she takes the advantage with an attempt at a quick kill or she holds back. Even, she releases the spell immediately, Odd, she holds her action: 2
Feeling exhilarated by the groups success and Arvel's bellow of laughter during his grand reveal, Fae releases four glowing darts into Targo’s back.
Targor is blasted with force from behind and quickly finds himself leaning against one of the tables and the rubble piled atop. Bloodied, breathing heavily, gray with dust and looking like he may not be able to stand on his own, the hobgoblin leader clutches for his sword but seems to struggle even at that. In his surprise and stupor he does manage to gather himself enough to start giving Arvel a cold stare.
(For mechanical purposes he's still prone. Fae ALMOST finished him, but in the spirit of letting the dice tell the story as discussed, someone else may finish the job.)

If Targor is still alive by the time it gets to my turn...
Tarja, in bear form, barrels through the hallway towards the crushed hobgoblins and Targor. This new form gives her such strength! She pushes aside her companions and charges at the wounded hobgoblin.
The battered Targor suffers a violent death as Tarja's bear form comes charging into the room and tears open his neck, blood spraying on the now gray dusty floor. All of the goblins come out of their various hiding places and silence, looking somewhat in shock that the castle is now theirs, in theory.
With that the party has, in one way or another, dealt with spiders, the goblins, The Spider himself, King Grol, an owlbear, a displacer beast, hobgoblins and a dragon since leaving Phandalin not long ago. In the process they've found Gundren and even the defiled shrine that had been angering Oghma.
The castle now stands quiet. The goblins start to congregate behind Yeemik and look at the various party members to see what they'll do now, and if they'll live up to their promise to reward the goblins with the castle.
Elra runs into the room, clearly still horrified but also with creeping excitement, "That.... was... well, not fun, but certainly interesting. You and your men were great support Yeemik,"she smiles at him. "Though I really don't want to try and go back to Phandalin tonight if it means walking past more... spiders. Especially in the dark. And I don't think it would be good for Gundren either. I want to send a letter to the Loremaster too, see if he can offer any information about how to help him maybe. But that might be better to send once Vincent knows where he's going. Plus I want to finish polishing the brazier we found."
Arvelcatches Yeemik's eye across the room. The charlatan and the goblin share a knowing look that has the heavy air of "We need to have that conversation now..."
Arveltilts his head towards Grol'squarters and begins walking there.
"Etan, great work. Could not have gone better. Tell Zeke to keep an eye on the goblins, but Yeemik and I need to have this long delayed conversation alone."
You get the sense that there's a heavy message of "If I'm not back in 10 minutes..." from Arvel.
The goblins start mumbling bits of confusion and concern, one remarking "I bet he's going to take Yeemik's face like Grol and the Spider." Yeemik look at Arvel nervously, taking one step forward but then stopping again.
Yeemik looks around at Zeke, the trap area where the hobgoblins lie, etc. and then finally shrugs. With a sigh he says "fine, let's get it over with" and follows Arvel.

Ethan stands above and behind Fae, watching the dust settle.
He too is a little stunned, this is the first time Ethan has seen a trap used on living targets and not dummies.
Ethan has a mixed feeling of elation and sickening churning in his stomach, at the destructive power unleashed.
He doesn't even notice Arvel's transformation into the Spider, or Fae's magic missile's homing in on the lone survivor.

"Ah, well. I'm pushing my deviousness too far any way.
Goodbye, Targor.

Arvel sees Elra watching him and, as his features shift back to normal, he winks at her.
Somewhere, far off, a red-headed halfling women chuckles and raises a mug in a small toast to the charlatan.

"Wow, so that's over..."
"Boy its been intense the last couple of days hasn't it?"
Ethan looks between his friends,
"So, are we going to stay the night and head out in the morning, or do you think we should get Gundren back to Phandalin as soon as possible?"

"Heh, well actually, um, that's one of the dangers of making a trap with limited time and resources."
"I guess we were lucky?"
Ethan's cheeks turn a little red.
"Sorry, I kind of go caught up in the activity, I really should have done a risk assessment and implemented more safety precautions..."
"But we are all still alive, so it all worked out in the end."

"Oh, right."
Ethan heads back and over to Zeke, and whispers to him,
"Arvel says to watch the goblins, while he talks with Yeemik."
"Hey, can I get some measurements and take a look at your weapon and shield?"
Ethan open his gauntlet and takes out his designs book and a measuring tool from among his various tool kits.
"Could I get you to spread your wings? I want to get a distance measurement between them against your back."

Arvel meets Yeemik in Grol's chamber, patting the chair where the warlord once sat.
As the goblin sits, Arvel stands in front of him with his back turned.
"Well, Yeemik. Here we are. You know this conversation only ends well one of two ways. I know it too. We've been dancing around it since the forest."
The charlatan shifts his armor so that his back appears bare.
"So, you can either take that fancy dagger of yours and bury it into my back right now...
"...or we can discuss the terms under which you and your cohorts will be allowed to keep this keep."
