Seeing the wizard escape her plants, Tarja would rush in looking for him (release concentration on Entangle).
Where could he have gone to? Natural way out is down that hallway.
She would transform into a wolf to sharpen her senses, and would try to smell or hear any sign of Glasstaff, perhaps trying to hear the sound of him running. (Perception with wolf advantage: 18).
(If she detects something, she would run after him. If not, she would cautiously head down the hallway behind where he was standing.)
Ethan does not find anything that would specifically be an exit but does see a hallway to his left with metal bars along the left hand wall that look like old prison cells. To his right appears to be another room that looks like it may be an office or bedroom. Zeke and Tarja see the same.
The druid listens and sniffs but finds no sign of the Glasstaff other than faint smells from the room to the right. From the hallway to the left the wolf smells the odor of what may be other living humanoids. As she moves down the hall she sees figures huddled in the shadows inside one of the cells. They are clinging to one another and shaking with fear. (Feel free to have moved towards the room instead, but I see no reason not to reveal the figures in the cell as well.)
Ixi, please give me a Perception check from Fae since you stated she'd be lagging behind not wanting to block the hall. (Same for anyone else who would still have been back near the large cavern, but it seems most have moved on.)
Fae almost misses it in the shadows across the cavern, but then she hears a stone get kicked into the chasm and echo its way down. She looks out and sees the form of the large redbrand Harick trying to flee across the far bridge. He has just frozen at the echo of the stone he kicked and is taking a brief second to gawk at the defeated behir.
Fae would step out from the wall, "Hello, Herick." She'd position herself between the redbrand and the north bridge. "How has hiding helped?" The wizard's head would tilt, her piercing purple eyes pool pitch black, prepared. "Hmm?" Stepping forward to close in the gap, the slain beast to her right.

Should he attempts to run/flee (gets more than 50ft from her), she is ready to use Hold Person.

Not seeing Glasstaff in the room with the prisoners, Tarja would push open the closed door to the right, not wanting to drop her wolf form until she was sure nobody was hiding nearby. 25 (Perception in that room, if needed)
Elra follows Tarja, and approaches the cell, "Hello, are you alright? No... that's a stupid question you're locked up in a cell... we're here to help you though!"
Zeke clasps Arvel on the shoulder as he passes 'The wizards' chamber are through those doors, your expertise would be valuable in there.' the barbarian doesn't break his stride as he speaks, focused on closing the gap with the rest of the party.
Passing Ethan, the tiefling nods briefly. 'Hold the hallway here, I'm going for Fae' Passing the last of the party members, Zeke again opens his stride to catch up with his friend the wizard.

Tarja sniffs her way into a fairly well appointed, for a cave hideout at least, private room, dimly lit by an oil lantern. Faint smells of the Glasstaff linger here along with a long table covered in flasks and other alchemy equipment, a few potions and the still smoldering remains of papers recently burnt. On the opposite wall is a desk with numerous other sheets of paper strewn about. Further in is a single bed and a large armoire.
As Elra moves moves closer she sees a woman in the far, dark corner of a cell clinging to two children, one boy and one girl. "H-hello?" "Who are you?" asks the woman nervously.
Fae hears Zeke keeping everyone organize down the hallway but hears no sounds of trouble and remains fixated on Harick. The large redbrand looks up at her without malice, a wicked grin, or anything of the sort. If anything his expression seems to indicate a desire for no quarrel with the wizard and just wanting to be done with all of this. He raises his hands, palms out, to display the daggers and gently bends down to place them on the bridge as a gesture of good will towards Fae, but otherwise ignores her words and command to halt.
Save vs. Hold Person if you still wish to cast it: 17 WIS
Fae’s hard expression would soften only slightly as she’d register Harick’s facials. Although she appreciated his gesture of good faith, recognizing that he’s given up her daggers, she’d continue to step forward to the bridge, but not on it. “I get it. You want to be done.” Her voice wasn’t firm or harsh like it was before. “But I can’t let you leave here without us, or at least one more chat.” A barely audible sigh would leave her breath. She’d activate hold person should he step off the bridge to the other side. It wasn’t a malicious hold, but it kept him from proceeding further on the other side of the cavern.
Zeke clears the hallway, backtracking to try to find the wizard before the group pushes on to find Glasstaff. Seeing the Redbrand frozen in place, the barbarian would approach Fae and ask 'Was he fleeing? Should I grab him or do you have him?'

Hearing Zeke's roar of frustration, Ethan moves back into the hallway and heads around through the damaged webbing, concerted for his friend.
"What's wrong! Wait, where did he go?"
Ethan looks around the room for possible exit points (including the roof and the floor)

Zeke would turn in place, looking for signs of Glasstaff. Seeing no evidence of the wizard, the barbarian takes quick stock of the rest of the party.
'Ethan, Tarja - we need to find the others, need to consolidate our position. I see Kricket, Arvel can't be far behind - but where are Fae and Elra?
Stepping back through the remnants of the web, the tiefling would make his way back out into the hall and call to the others
'The wizard is gone, but we've found something back here. Help them search, I'll hold the hallway against anyone who approaches us from behind.
