Fae, still concentrating on her spell, was a little unsure how she was going to proceed from here. She’d feel some relief when she’d hear Zeke’s voice and he’d make his approach. “Yes. He was fleeing.” The wizard would gesture with her free hand what direction he came from and went. “I can only hold him for as long as he can resist my mental hold.” She’d confess, not dropping her focus on her magic. Fae would be happy for Zeke to take over from here if he wanted. “I also did not want to get lured too far away on my own.” Her eyes would briefly glance to her daggers on the bridge before looking back. “Thank you...” She was appreciative he came back.
Zeke would stride forward toward the Redbrand, obviously caught in the act of fleeing the monstrosities they found in the cavern. 'You made a bargain with us for your freedom, and so far you have lived up to it. Don't break from it now. The worst has been dealt with, come back with us into the wizards chambers while we plan our next moves. Your counsel and knowledge of this place will be of tremendous value.'
The teifling looks the large Redbrand in the eye and gives a sympathetic smile 'You saw how we took this thing apart' he gestures towards the Behir 'You know you wouldn't pose much of a challenge for me, and this wizard froze you in place with a single word. She could do so much more if she chose to. Please don't make us.'
Seeing that Glasstaff was nowhere to be found, Tarja returns back to her dwarf form. Since Elra and Ethan seem to be taking care of the poor imprisoned family, and Zeke is holding the hallway, Tarjacontinues inspecting the back room. She carefully puts out the smouldering papers, in case something from them can be salvaged, and takes a quick look at the ones strewn about to see what they're from, in case they might later help identify where Glasstaff would run off to. She takes a look at the potions to see if any of them look like they're dangerous and about to explode, but otherwise leaves them alone until they can be safely gathered and distributed.
Ethan finds no traps on the cell lock or door, and perceives nothing presenting any danger within the cell.
Eventually breaking free of Fae's spell, Harick looks at Zeke...and his weapon... and nods. "What do you want from me? I don't know what the wizard is up to back there. I think he brews something in his workshop back there and he's always afraid of a drow called The Spider and wants to keep him happy. There is the dragon, too, I suppose."
Tarja finds a potion that looks like it may still be in the middle of being brewed but several others of different colors. Amongst the burnt papers she can discern a few words and symbols including one with half of a spider stamped on it and another that looks like perhaps one corner of a potion recipe.
On the desk she finds a whole bunch of papers strewn about, mostly just lists of ingredients and spell components, several pages that look to have been torn out of a book and including basic information about nothics, behirs, beholders and other aberrations including balhannoths and lastly a note that appears to be from the Spider to the Glasstaff.
Just as Tarja hears a jingle while rummaging through papers on the desk and brushes a few aside to reveal a set of keys she hears the metal clang of Ethan easily unlocking a cell and swinging the door open.
"Oh...ah. Sorry about the delay. He wanted to talk? Well, missed opportunity I guess. Still, we've driven a wedge between the Staff and the Spider and that gives me a couple of ideas about how to proceed in certain arenas.
That being said, we have eyes on our Redbrand and my Bugbear...friend is around...somewhere. We should focus on getting these innocents to safety first, right?"
Zeke leads the Redbrand back towards the Wizard's chambers 'I'm sure you know more than you expect. Let's gather everyone together and we'll work out next steps. You've done well so far.'
Joining the rest of the party in the Wizards chambers, Zeke is surprised to find the freed prisoners. Overhearing Arvel as he comes into the room, the barbarian nods his head vigorously 'We should get them somewhere safe immediately.'
With Zeke taking over from there and leading the Redbrand back to the rest of the group, Fae would move to retrieve her daggers. She’d then work her way back to catch up with the others.

Ethanheads other to check on Targain the other room, leaving the former captives in Elraand Arvelcare.
Entering the room, Ethantakes it all in.
"Ooow, this is nice."
Ethanbegins looking over the wizards stuff, starting with the half brewed potion and then moving onto the various papers with varied information on them.
Ethanlooks up and shouts out, back towards the door.
Harick reluctantly follows the lead of Fae and Zeke and sticks with the group.
The woman in the cell encourages the children to stand and go to these apparent rescuers. The two appear to be filthy but otherwise in relatively good health. The mother then gets to her feat but seems weaker, both sore from resting on cold stone for days on end and potentially malnourished. Anyone with any insight into motherhood would not be surprised if she has been giving much of her own portion of any food provided to these prisoners to the children to keep them healthy.
Ethan you join Tarja in poking around the Glasstaff's room and start to look around a bit more closely. You suspect that the Glasstaff may have swiped what he could in the few seconds he had while you dealt with the Behir, but a lot was left behind. The work table and desk don't have too many valuable items on them, but wedged between the wall and the rear legs of the desk, for instance, you find two scrolls that were likely pushed off the back of the desk in the wizard's haste to collect items and burn others. In his armoire you find a more well organized collection of labeled potions, mundane clothes and robes belonging to the wizard, more spell scrolls, and a strange metal rod adorned with a horse on either end. Your artificer's eyes even notice it has a button on it.
Elra helps the mother, "It's alright, I'll get you guys out of here and back to the inn? Or do you have a house in town I can help you too? Here wait I think I have some food you can have."She starts digging around in her bag for her own rations.
The mother thanks Elra profusely and eagerly takes a few bites of food now that she doesn't have to worry about her children starving. "We have a home in town,"she says. "We're the Dendrar family." Elra and the others recall hearing from the Stonehills about the Redbrands killing the woodcarver Thel Dendrar and his family going missing.
Zeke reaches into his own pack and pulls out 2 full days worth of rations and hands them to the kids 'Here you are little ones, eat a bit while we get things tidied up before we take you and your mother home. You've been so very brave but you're safe now and can relax.'
Once he settles the kids in place, he nods to Elra as she cares for the mother and then steps back into the hallway to guard against anyone approaching the party while they wrap up things up in the wizards' chamber.
Back with the group, Fae would stand back, contently watching Elra and Zeke care for the captives, and Ethan excitedly call over, displaying his new finds to Tarja. A small smile would tug at the wizards lips. With rations handed out generously, Fae wondered how she could help too. She’d step forward to offer her waterskin for them to wash it all down with.
Fae would then pad over to see what Ethan wanted to show her.

"Oooow!"
Ethan lets go of the rod and is rewarded with it remaining fixed in space.
"I've read about these! This is...ah...an Immovable Rod!"
Ethan reaches out and presses the button again, releasing the rob from its fixed position.
Ethan smiles broadly, holding the rod up above his head horizontally and pressing the button again.
Ethan then attempts to pull himself up, letting the rod hold his full weight, before lowing himself back to the ground.
"Look Tarja!"
Ethan repeats lifting himself off the ground on the rod.
"This could be very useful."
Ethan presses the button and brings the rod down.
